I've had good luck with any of the Lebermuth they carry and like most that were already listed but add Bay Rum.

Have you tried CSN to compare to CDN by chance?
I may have tried, I don't have my notes anymore to check but something tells me I didn't like them as well or I would still have them.

Palm Wax for me. Glass Glow for containers. CDN or CD wicks work well with it.

Forrest,
I've noticed the same thing. When I moved I uncovered a few candles I made over 10 years ago and clearly noted right on the candle that the HT was unacceptable, well same thing, threw like crazy. (Is it a little crazy that I kept it that long?) Now it was in a covered jar and stored in the box that the glass comes in always in a cool place. IDK that this would be across the board but I think you're absolutely right about cure times and HT with soy wax anyway.

KK I know the jar your talking about and I did order a long time ago from them and it is the same exact jar. It came with the silver lid, right?
C&S is a lot closer to me that Gen Wax in Cal. Though the shipping was really the same...but like said, is the same jar.

Yes you could buy the silver lids, black lids or the plastic clear lids that fit that tumbler. I'm in Calif so for me it was a no brainer!
-
Yes I use a similar tumbler from General Wax. It's right about the same diameter. The straight sided are the only ones I like. I do prefer the status jars though even without the lid they seem to be thicker glass so less chance of breakage in transporting.

This is a huge reason I've tried to go paperless at my house. The cartridges are criminally priced. The last printer I bought, they had the printer and cartridges programmed to expire a year after manufacture, no matter how much ink was left in them. The printer had sat on the shelf for months before I bought it, and then stopped working soon after I set it up and started using it because that year had been reached. I've refused to buy another HP product since then, but they're all horrible rip-offs anyway. Back to the decoupage idea...
yeah if this is just for yourself and you're not selling just be creative with pens, markers & decoupage! I'm old school so I still love decoupage, Mod Podge!

Yeah if you want cheap buy the labels and use the free Avery software. I use Printshop at home and have a color laser. The inkjets will break the bank! Worth it to get the laser and only buy cartridges once a year.

Wow, when you blend, you blend! I'm lucky to get 3 scents together and like it. It does sounds lovely. I'm a lover of spice scents with no bakery in them and gingerbread is one of my exceptions to the no bakery rule.

I should be shocked but I'm not. Unfortunately I see this all the time, even huge companies have candles that burn way too hot, wicks way too big and I have to wonder if they test. Everyone thinks it's just what you said melt add fo and plop in a wick. I'm very thankful when I started I had a mentor and shortly after I found some great candle groups online including this one. I guess she will learn the hard way or just get lucky and nothing will ever happen to her.

Absolutely vapors from Natural oils can be harmful as well. I've had the pleasure of touring 2 different EO plants where they make distillates, b & b and bottle Essential Oils. Every person working in closed rooms has on a respirator, goggles and gloves. Those medical masks will not work, they will keep you from actually inhaling particulates but the smell will still be there and can still trigger headaches. I learned the hard way!

I've been using RE's Satsuma and Salty Sea (?) not positive on that name. Lemon I haven't used in a long time, want to say it was Candle Science when I had it and I blended it with Olive Leaf (WSP) that I didn't like alone but that blend screams Italy, lol.

Pasta, Homemade bread, satsuma oranges, the ocean. These are real scents, now if you can find them all in fo you're in business! Oh yeah lemon as well!!

IDK for sure what the answer is but why not list your ingredients? I always put mine on the soap label just in case someone had an allergy they could see what was in there.

Missed this when you first posted. That's an awesome deal! I use the 12 oz also but hey at that price I'd figure something out as well!

That is very interesting, I'll certainly try it. I wonder if it will inhibit the HTPs self-trimming quality.
It has never affected any of the self trimming wicks I've used. All you're doing by twisting is forcing it to burn all the way around the candle, it really works great on those flat buggers that want to lean one way.

Hi, Welcome & Enjoy!

I don't recall them doing that either. It's been a bit but I would have noted something like that and my notes don't have any info about mushrooms, soot or black bits.

Hi & Welcome!

And that quickly it's gone! Not surprised really.

I can't remember if I've ever tried it with HTP wicks, but try twisting them before inserting into the jar. This will force them to burn on both sides! I do it with flat style wicks.

Coconut wax discolored after burn and wick suggestions.

Twist your HTP wick before inserting, it really helps with that one sided burn, the other side will catch up. Coconut is softer so does tend to tunnel first as already said. I think you need to judge more on burn 3. 8% fo seems high to me but then others are having luck with it, I never had luck at more than 6% actually got less HT with over 6%.
