  2. CBA? I have been reading the archives and alot of ppl were stating that they had no hot throw..I just wondered if anyone had double wicked,if that may have made a difference.? I am testing this wax now..just poured my first one in 3 diff. jars, w/csn wicks. Will see in a week or so how they burn.TIA! Kimmeroo:D
  3. Here's mine....DO NOT USE A WOODEN BAMBOO SKEWER TO SNUFF OUT YOUR CANDLES! It catches on fire! DUHHH! Yeah..it was me.LOL!:undecided Kimmeroo

  9. Hey Arlene! How's the 444!? I haven't made anymore yet..been doing glass glow..update us...if I missed your post I'm sorry...just came across this post and saw your name which reminded me of how your testing was coming!?!
  10. Yup! I am having lots of fun! Hmmm. must be the wax coolrd just enough when I was mixing the fo and color...I will print off how you do it and try that! No..I didn't heat my jars...my hubby had it 78 in here (woodstove) so I thought it may be hot enough..will heat them next time just to see. Thanks all for responding! I will post early next week..can't do any testing 'till Sun.or Mon. Kimmeroo
  11. No white stuff. it was the reflection of the flash. And..it did catch up.I burned the rest of the candle and I was a little disappointed that it left black soot around the top of the jar.I also notced that the flame was always huge even tho I trimmed when needed. The wick I think was just a little too hot,I think I am going to go down to a csn12..the glass was awful hot for my liking. I used mistletoe (CS) and .5oz fo. I am going to make some mor over the weekend and re-test. Thanx all for looking and the help and encouragement.I need it ! LOL! Kimmeroo oh yeah..Stella,what degree do you(or anyone) pour your glass glow?I poured min at 200* but I only got the "look" on one out of the three, which I made all at the same time...I put my fo in first then stirred to incorporate then added jbn's soy liq. dye, then poured.Did I do something wrong?
  12. As I recall...415 has the best throw out of all the soy.It just has some issues you need to learn to deal with.I am using it for now..but I have been doing some extensive testing with different soy waxes and palm waxes. Good luck! Kimmeroo
  13. I don't know why the pics disappeared! I am very aggrevated cuz I have done everything I know how to get them on here!I posted another thread just down from this one...3hr.test burn...it will at least show the one I started test burning! Kimmeroo Try it again!UGH!
  14. Are you using a hot glue gun or wick stickums to attach the wick to the bottom of the jar? It doesn't sound like you are doing that..it sounds like you are just sticking them in after the wax has been poured into the container...could you make this a little more clear for me? Here is what I do: After you have cleaned and heated your jars(if you heat them), 1.Attach pre-tabbed wick w/hot glue or wick stickums onto the bottom of your jar... 2.Prep your melted wax by coloring and adding fo, 3.Pour into wicked jar 4.I use a bamboo skewer to hold the top part of the wick taught.Make sure wick is centered. What type of wax are you using? Kimmeroo
  15. I made all three candles at the same time...the temp was 210*...then added fo and color and stirred then poured at 200*. I was surprised that the teal one(with spots) didn't turn out like the other two..I'm thinking maybe it was the fo!?! Kimmeroo
  16. for my gg candles I made . I don't know much about palm wax so here are the pics of my first 3hour burn..trimming once...using a csn 14 wick. Thanks for looking and suggestions!:smiley2: URL=http://img153.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hpim0715vz1.jpg] Kimmeroo
  17. Hi Stella! I just posted pics of the gg I made today..I am going to test burn the green one tonite! I went w/ a csn 14 instead of 12 but if it is a torch I will switch it out to a 12. I too believe palm isn't the "bugger" ppl claim..I think alot of us chandlers just want to make it right(or as right as it can be)! I so much appreciate your knowledge and your patience for all of us that just plain can't understand certain things sometimes...I know I get into little ruts and it is just easier to ask sometimes. So Cheers to you Stella and all the wonderful ppl here on this board that make it the most invaluable place on the internet for a chandler!:highfive: Kimmeroo
  18. Maybe this one will be larger so you can see them better. YAY! it worked!<a href="http://img149.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hpim0713bd3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/6039/hpim0713bd3.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a>
  19. I made my first gg tester candles today! YAY! The only thing isss.I was disappointed w/the lavender vanilla(downy type)from NG..it just spotted!? The other two turned out better! I have seen even better pics..so hence alot more testing! Here is the link for the pics. The purplish one is Merlot Wine, the teal one is lavendar vanilla(spotted),the green one is mistletoe! I love that scent! Those are from CS. I wicked them w/csn 14's...I am going to test burn the green one tonite! Kimmeroo

  22. Hi Top! Question...I just bought 10lbs. of that stuff..can I mix it w/415? I have been testing assorted waxes and that was one of them..if it has no hot throw no sense in wasting my time and money! TIA!! Kimmeroo
  23. No..I just wanted to try it both ways to see the burn difference...I said cdn's in my last post..I made a mistake..they are csn's..what is the difference? Thanks Stella..any help appreciated! Kimmeroo
