  1. Filmore was one of the first places I checked...they only carry Ball and they don't have a smooth side for labels. I only live about 40 min. from Ohio's Amish country so will be taking a trip down to the couple out of the way stores I know that carry jars and hope for the best!! Thanks to everyone who replied to my dilemna!!!
  2. Thanks so much for your help but unfortunately those aren't the ones I am searching for!
  3. I've been looking everywhere for the 16 oz wide mouth jars that have a smooth side. I've been searching the internet for over a week, have been to every store in my area and all I can find are jars that have BALL on one side, Fruits on the other and measuring marks in between. I still had a few from when I used them years ago and I wanted to start using them again and discontinue my other 16 oz jar. Guess I need to re-think that! :-( Do they not make them anymore?? Thanks!! Karen
  4. Camay...I did see that! I thought it had to be a typo!! LOL It sounds exactly like what my customer is looking for too but no way would I ever pay that kind of money for an oil. In my opinion...that's crazy!!! :-)
  5. Thanks everyone!! I appreciate the help!! Cedar_Lea...I'm very interested to hear what you think of NG's Iced Tea since they are one of my regular suppliers. Looks like I need to check out DS, Lonestar and Elements!! Thanks again!!
  6. Have had a request for Sweet Tea. My customer was given a Sweet Tea candle as a gift and now wants me to make them for her. The description on the candle company website says...tea, citrus and honey. I have checked my normal suppliers...KY, ME, JS, CS and NG...with no luck. I can try to mix it myself..but am kind of hoping that's a last resort! LOL Thanks!!
  7. My all time fave is Apple Danish from Heartfelt.
  8. I'm so sorry to hear that! A few years ago she closed down temporarily due to health reasons also. I used to use several of their oils but quit using them when the prices got higher than I wanted to pay. She has some really great oils and her customer service was always excellent. I wish her the best and I hope her health improves.
  9. I have great luck with their oils in GB415. When Angie had Snowtop I used all their oils and got my wax from them. Was disappointed when they closed up and elated when she re-opened as Miami Erie! Here are the ones I use: Apple Jack and Orange Peel Blueberry Bread Banana Nut Muffin Hot Apple Pie Lemonberry Crisp Prairie Kitchen Coconut Lime Country Berry Hotcakes Country Cinnamon Cranberry Spice Sugar Cookie Vanilla & Oak Warm Christmas Pink Sugar I'm still testing Crescent Rolls...so far I'm not impressed but it's the first oil I have found that I've been disappointed in. Still have a lot sitting here waiting to be tested and just ordered 5 new ones...Blackberry Tea, Peppermint Tea, Sweet Potato Pie, Expresso Coffee and Pumpkin Spice Cake!! Karen
  10. I just ran a huge sale on my slow moving scents just to make some revenue so I can start buying for fall. All 8 scents sold out in 3 days but I went below my wholesale pricing just to move them! :-( Besides the sale orders I've only had 3 orders in the last month. But I do have some good news...just got a very nice wholesale order from a new customer that I am really excited about.
  11. I've narrowed mine down... Candle Science Miami Erie Nature's Garden KY Just Scent Tennessee Currently testing scents from: Connie's Elements Almost hoping they don't pass the testing.....really don't want anymore suppliers!! :-)
  12. Sorry to hear this happened to you. I'm on my 3rd card in a little over 2 mos. too so know the frustration first hand!
  13. I poured KLP from Miami-Erie in GB415 when I was testing for spring/summer scents. It has no fuel smell and is nice and strong. Not sure how true of a pie scent it was...my testers choice their Coconut Lime over the KLP.
  14. Good luck with your open house!! Your candles are beautiful and I love your tree logo!! I use the same label and love them!!
  15. Unfortunately testing is a crucial part of candlemaking. Not only do you have wicking issues like Candy said...you also have to keep in mind that just because a supplier says a FO works well in soy...doesn't mean you will get the same results in your soy. I have plenty of duds sitting in my basement that were said to be "awesome", "run you out of the house strong" in soy..but I couldn't get them to throw at all in GB415. And a couple of those came from CS. :-( The only reviewer you can trust 100% is yourself.
  16. Hi Lynn... I used to use AWE quite a bit when I first started..was very sorry to hear that she was closing. She had some great oils. I do buy a few things from Nature's Garden and I get my wick stick-ums from The Candlemakers Store. For me I have found the cheapest place..even with shipping is KY. I don't know how she ships so cheap but she does...the shipping on a case of soy is only $14. Candle Science wants $25!!!

Connie has some wonderful sounding oils...I was very impressed with her fast shipping. I only put a couple in soy this past weekend...Pumpkin Brulee(I used to use ICS's but she discontinued it :-( ) and Coffee Cake & Spice. Will get the rest of them poured this coming weekend. Am praying for good results...so I can buy more of her oils!!

    Have a great day,

    Karen

  17. From the looks of my account...I need someone to put me under supervision!! Have gone a little bit crazy..ok, a lot crazy..over the last couple weeks ordering new FO's for fall!!! I just got a few of the oils poured today, will put the rest in wax next weekend....she ships super fast and they were packed well so that's always a good start!! Will start to review her scents later in the week.
  18. Thank you for the link!! As someone who has been compromised twice in 3 mos I find it definitely interesting and makes a person want to start using cash for everything like back in the old days!! :-) Out of everyone I know personally..friends, relatives, co-workers, etc......I am the only one who has ever had their debit card number stolen. The majority of us use the same grocery store, gas station and post office. Which is the only places besides candle suppliers that my 2nd card had ever been used at. Not saying it still couldn't have been skimmed but I just think it's odd that out of almost 100 friends and relatives I'm the only one with the problem. Oh..and I never use my card as a debit card...don't even know my pin number... I always use it as a credit card. Truth is anyone who has ever been compromised will never know the truth! :-( Thanks again for the link!!!
  19. I just got my order from KY this week...price was the same as my order in April. But if prices are going up...I think I might place another order this week and start stock piling for fall!!! Thanks for the heads up!!!
  20. I agree with Tennessee's Pomegranate!! I am a huge Lavender lover and in 10 yrs have only found 1 Lavender that I love...Lavender & Herb from Willow Woods. It's incredibly strong and beautiful!!! Still on the search for that perfect Lavender that is not a blend!!
  21. I have 2...Strawberry Rhubarb from KY...it reminds me of summers at my Grandma's. Then I am absolutely in love with Beach Linen from Candle Science.
  22. Island Girl got hit again too...if you haven't already checked out her thread, check it out!! Sorry it happened to you...I've been hit twice so know how frustrating it is!!
  23. Thank you so much for that advice!! I had much better luck doing it that way then thru the search!! :-)
  24. Thanks Carol!! Apparantly not many people use her! :-) I went ahead and ordered the ones I was considering plus a couple more and am hoping for the best!! If you want an ounce or two of the Pumpkin Brulee to test just let me know since I had to buy a full pound. And no..I don't do B&B...heck I'm lucky I have enough time to do my candles!! LOL
  25. I'm getting ready to place my first order with Connie's Candle Supply... since it's a supplier that I don't hear much about I would love to hear some suggestions on FO's(that work well in pure soy) to try!! I'm getting the Pumpkin Brulee....my supplier discontinued it and I am desperate to find a replacement by August!!! And thought I would try the Hot Maple Toddy, Coffee Cake & Spice, Fall Festival, Fireside Inn, Mulled Cider and Willow Inn. Any feedback or suggestions welcomed!! Thanks!! Karen Oh..and I really did try to do a search before I posted...I had no luck so either I'm doing something terribly wrong or there isn't much posted about them.
