  1. I think that J50 gives less wet spots but J223 gives a better hot throw, in my opinion. And J300 seemed to be even better with less wet spots but even less of a hot throw. I think J50 is just a tad harder than J223.
  2. I personally think that J50 has less wet spots but J223 has a better hot throw. That is just from my experience. And when I tested the J300 it seemed to be even better on wet spots but even less of a hot throw. I think J50 is just a tad harder than J223. I prefer the 223 overall
  3. Candlewic has tealight molds with holes and they give you the posts for them. Their molds come in two sizes, I think one is like 12 or 24 tealights. The other is 99, I have 3 of those and love them.
  4. Does anyone have a recipe or formula to make your own color buttons or chips? I normally use liquid color but occasionally I need chips but not enough to buy them. So I was interested in making my own but don't know what the drops to wax ounce ratio could or should be. I know this can be a personal preference but was wondering if there was a basic starting point. TIA Judi
  5. I like it too Sharon, Hey get this, I went to a merchandise convention yesterday and today. There was a candle company there called Prairie Annie Candles!
  6. I like KY's Country Vanilla and Taylor's Mexican Vanilla
  7. Bear has a great warm vanilla, if you would 4, 6 or 8 oz pm me, I have a hugh bottle of it I will sell it to you for 85 cents an ounce plus shipping if you would like to try it. I love their warm vanilla and coconut lime verbena. STRONG! I have a hugh bottle of the coconut lime too.
  8. You probably are all referring to different types and makes of trimmers!
  9. Bizzy it may all turn out ok, I had placed an order with Alabaster some time ago and it came in a used box with some kind of writing on it. I had 6 FO's (16oz size) one was a birthday cake. It had leaked everywhere, to the point the bottom of the box was a pad of slim, inside and outside. I emailed them and told them, they immediately appologized, sent me a new one and even some samples with it. The box really wasn't an issue to me as I don't care what they use to get them here, I don't sell their box so doesn't matter. But the FO was a whole different issue and was taking care of with no problem. So, I don't know who your company is but this could be exactly what they will do for you too. Good Luck!
  10. Lone Star has one under equipment for $15.95 Don't know how I would exist without it, comes with a cover for the probe, extra battery and it is totally digital and fast. I am getting ready to order a second one here. Oh and the probe cover has a clip so you can clip it to your pocket or shirt It is just like the ones chefs use.....I went to the restaurant supply store here and wanted to buy one, they had the same one and it was $22.95 HTH
  11. I use Quickbooks Pro for the last 2.5 years and love it, I keep inventory in it, invoices, I can do estimates that won't effect your totals and I do supply inventory and selling product inventory. I can auto ship and print for USPS, UPS and FEDEX threw it. I just bought my upgrade cause I was still using 2003 and thought I better upgrade it! Takes a bit to get use to it but once you do you will really like it too. I even have a bar code scanner on it (cost me $38 for the scanner) I get some products from suppliers and I can just scan it in and it places it into my supply inventory. Eventually I want to bar code my bottom warning labels.
  12. Bought a nice twin hot plate at walmart for $19.00 with those flat top burners, they clean up nice. Use to have one with the circle grate and that was a pain. Each burner has independent conrol know, no clicks on it so you can set to the fraction. Each has a light that goes on when heating up or kicking on after it has cooled down. Don't know how I lived so long without it! And it is black, not white.... I can see the gobs of wax!
  13. I don't think England Ever gets hot weather. We have friends in England and the few times my husband has gone there and to play golf with our friends the sun shines so bright and the weather warms up, after he leaves it gets hazy again and cool. They want him to come every year so they get heat!! lol We had almost 2 weeks of 117-120 degree weather. Today, for us it is cool, 104..... hubby closes all the AC vents in the rooms that surround the current candle room so it will blow harder in there for me. I can only pour starting around 10pm and end around 5am. Think I have my days and nights screwed up?
  14. I don't particularly care for it but the J300 I have never gotten wet spots. But I did find that pouring around 155-165 lessened mine in the J223 and J50 family. But I do heat my jars to about 170 degrees now and it has lessened it even more. Only have a few little ones and they only appear after them sitting for a few weeks. HTH
  15. I bought one off ebay, I actually bought the foot pedal model and it is great. There is a guy on there from PA that sells them for half of what you would pay anywhere else. Gives you hands free so you can hold the piece with two hands.
  16. OR maybe some found them cheap on sale and thought they would grab them for the office. Are they a store bought candle or something else?
  17. They do, I buy it from them but it is not on their website
  18. Thank goodness you don't live here in vegas, we have been having 120 degrees for 3 days now!
