  1. Last time I spoke to Paula at Jar Store which was about a month ago. She told me they just renegotiated with the original mfg they were dealing with and told them they had to make the jars thicker or they were going to find a new mfg and they started making them thicker. She never said that she bought the company. And she calls them her jar making company, not OUR manufacturing company, so I don't know about what that person was saying. I guess things could have changed in a month but that is what I know. HTH
  2. OH SHUCKS.... on sweet cupcakes I wanted to sign up on their limited offer. First 100 sign ups, get to start for FREE....but guess I can't do that if they already have 1000! DARN DARN DARN 1000 my foot! I wonder how many are active? Notice you can't contact any consultant directly!?!? How does one sign on for a company that doesn't even post prices, or not that I can see..all I see is a scent list. And as for that other one Marlow or whatever, her prices are rediculous. Nice looking appearance but give me a break. Then add on shipping and wowwie!!
  3. JoAnn's and Michaels sell those, I think they are yellow though. Same design thou
  4. I have two sizes from Anchor Hocking we sell. One is an 18oz jar and one is a 70oz jar I bought the 70oz jar for $1.75 each and the 18oz cost nearly the same. If you want to see them my website is www.bluediamondcandle.com
  5. I think she asking for a good site to go to that has software or forms to make a banner. I don't think there is such an animal but then I could be wrong.

  8. I bought sheets of car freshener paper and cut into 1.5" squares ( I have a table top paper cutter) and scented them, then cello bagged them and sealed with my heat sealer and put two or three in each order, pending on the size of order, kind of like avon

  10. Don't lite it, that is so full you will probably have a melt pool on the table. That wick looks like clothesline!! lol So sad to see what people will put out there with no regard for ANYONES safety. Sad part is, things like that wind up hurting a defenseless Pet or Child.
  11. You are to funny Lynn, you crack me up Ok, here is the plan.....get up in the morning, tease your hair wild. Get a fake third eye and plant it on your forehead. Whip up a some volcanic mixture on the counter wiht some dry ice for smoke or talc powder.....button your shirt lopsided and put your pants on backwards (sweat pants are most comfortable) and growl at anyone that speaks to you.....if they don't leave you alone after that...... then they are NUTS! LOL
  12. You know Lyn if you want to keep a customer or salesman out, make one of those signs for the door and instead of institute on it put institution, they will surely go the other way!!!!
  13. Oh, that means I get a mini cut & carve candle as the boobie prize for the use of my door signs!!! See I am good for something with my mind in the middle of the night!
  14. Well Lyn these are a bit silly, some retarted and some stupid But I thought if I put them up, you could take them all and pick and piece together your own! There were to many above to see if I was duplicating, so if I did, I am sorry. Overly Friendly Countryside Inventory or Inventor(s) Opportunity for Crafty Indulgence or Ingestion! 16. They are called melon jars. I can't remember where I saw them, I will think though. Maybe Libby
  17. Just a small personal note here. <---- Edited to say, I meant it to be a small note. As stated, it is correct that the color means absolutely nothing. ABC could use yellow and you think yellow is hard, I make molds here. I use blue and purple. WHY, cause I like both colors first of all and two.... I use two different but exteremely similar silicones. YOU would not be able to tell the difference between them it is so minor. You need silicone molds and what you want to ask them is what their shore A hardness is, I am not gonna take the time to type a history hear to tell you about Shore A but it can range from 7 to above 50 or 60. For candle molds they should be no less than 7 and no more than 28-30. Now you will ask, how do I know which one. That is what makes it tuff. Pending on the details in the molded piece is where the Shore A should be. Example a intricate bloomed rose with detailed waves in the pedals. Should be a Shore A 7-15 and a simple thing like a flat molded item...Example a mold of a cinnamon stick that can go as high as 28-30. Now mind you, the all could be molded in a 7 or 15 and even a 20....but they all can't be molded in a 28 or 30. I know it all is confusing and this post is getting long but it is to much to explain. I researched it for 15 months before I bought my first molding products. I bought many many many products and let me tell you this stuff is NOT CHEAP AT ALL. Just for my testing of all the stuff before I actually made a decision and started really molding I spend over $2000.00! Please don't anyone ask me what brand I use or where I get it from because that is one of those things I will not tell anyone. I spent to much time and money to get what I have, I don't think mold maker would. But as for my Shore A.... I use 7, 11 and 15 pending on the product. I have made molds for candles, concrete stepping stones, modeling clay, resin and even for Chocolate. I do make molds that are food safe but they are not something I do often, they are special orders....and have special requirements. HTH, sorry for the long wind
  18. Think about it, if tin is so bad then why does big companies make citronella candles in tin pails? Why does Yankee, Gold Canyon and others make tin candles. I think if caution isn't taken like ANYTHING IN LIFE, you can and most probably will be in trouble. I also think people that use tins with seams have more potential to have problems... although the makers of OFF makes a citronella pail that is not seamless and their seam is not sealed. JMO
  19. I use 2 51's in an 18oz pumpkin jar and us J wax also.
  20. That would explain why I am not familiar with it, we don't do soy here. Our chem mixers would quit on me if I did soy. Long story, don't ask why? lol
  21. I have no idea what 402 is or what is characteristics are but I use J223 or at least I have for the past 3 years, not sure I am going to continue to. BUT, I almost all of our FO we do at 9% FO and we have almost 65 that we stock. (we find this with just the J223...the new wax that we had formulated for us... we are still testing but so far it is working well for us and it is doing well with the same FO at 7%.) When I get a new FO we pour 4 identical testers one at 6%, 7%, 8% and one at 9%.... We do the following 1) Pour them all at the same temp, same amount of wax, same jar. Just the % is different. 2) We cap them, place them on a shelf in the shop and let them sit for 3-4 weeks, why that long? To see if any of them bleed FO. Then we test each and everyone for scent throw. They are each burned in the same identical room. One at a time, with a week break in between each jar burn (to clear the nose)....otherwise they all smell strong or you smell nothing. When done, we have outside testers that do the same think in their homes. We give them a sheet to fill out. I know this takes a long time but it has been worth it. HTH
  22. I checked JoAnns today, they have them but they don't have the traditional cast iron frying pan handle. They have some kind of thick wire looped handle. Fancy but not what I needed, they were $2.99 and ALL JoAnns candle stuff was marked with big signs 40%-60% off!!
