  1. With my not-too-technical math, that equals about 4-5 drops. So not very accurate, I know. Donna
  2. Let's see...in 2 oz, I would use 1 ml. So, in 1/2 ounce a 1/4 ml (from a pippette). Not sure if that helps or not...(ok, if you don't have a pippette, it won't!) Donna
  3. That's actually a great idea....body spray, lotion (or lotion bar) and a soap. I think my friend would like that. Tho my mind went to another place....."Ladies, sick of the men in your life? Give him this handy BUGG OFF bath kit. Guaranteed to rid you of all the pesky critters in your life!". I admit it. I am sick. I need professional help. Donna
  4. Here's my favorites so far..... Tropicali Tango Lemon Tart (freakin' awesome) Blackberry Patch Breeze in the Keys Chocolate Turtle Cheesecake Cucumber Mint New England Mist Pear Vanilla Pink Pepperberry Sea Salt Breeze Tropical Fusion Woodland Breeze Donna
  5. Thanks everyone!!! I, jokingly, told him I'd make him some Dirt scented soap (from MMS)...that way he wouldn't smell like a tasty human to those skeeters. LOL. I'm going to order some lemon eucalyptus and some clove and the OT oil and give them a go. Donna
  6. I like Essentials by Catalina's Glycerin liquid soap base. My customers use it for bubblebath and shower gel...and it is also in my foaming hand soaps. Donna
  7. Peak's has a list on their site of which oils are B&B safe. This might link you into it, if I copied it right.... http://www.peakcandle.com/category/Fragrance-Oils/Bath-and-Body.aspx Donna
  8. WAY too high on the lye! I just got some locally (they ordered it in for me, anyway) and it's $47 for 50 pounds! A 50 pound pail of palm oil at Columbus Foods is only $39.50. Even with shipping to me (almost 2500 miles away) it's $65.84. *I've* never heard of GTF labs...but that doesn't mean much. Donna
  9. Would this help for bayberry? "BAYBERRY is a synonym for the Wild Cinnamon or Pimenta acris of the West Indies and South America, which yields Bay Rum and oil of Bayberry." Maybe you could call it something with wild cinnamon in it. I'm not much help on the sage/lemongrass....sorry! Donna
  10. Tony's has it. http://tonysfragranceoils.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=75 I got a one ounce sample of it and . I love it! I'm really into clean scents. This is a wonderful green smell that's a touch sweet if that makes any sense. (I royally suck at describing scents!) Donna
  11. Is this sale immediate and will show in the cart? I put "firecracker" in the voucher box and get nada happening. Guess I'll wait on this order for now. I thought that Flickers had a newsletter....I can't find where to sign up for one. Anyone know? Off for errands! Donna
  12. LOL...wouldn't you know I just got a huge order from there?!?!?! My luck. Thanks much, I will put it on my list to order next week! Thanks, Donna
  13. I'm needing help on this one..... I've got a customer that camps and spends time outdoors....he's asking for a mosquito repellant soap that he can use while camping to deter the skeeters. Can someone point me to an FO or EO? Or does he just need a bug zapper? ROFL. Thanks! Donna
  14. I don't make candles.....but I've put the Nectarine Blossom & Honey in a tart and it was very nice.
  15. Man....I need me a salad shooter! I knew I shouldn't have declined my brother's offer of one when I got married 10 yrs ago!
  16. I use the 1.8 x 1.8 square corner labels from onlinelabels too. I just looked up the OL5051WX "lipbalm label". It's dimensions are 1.9x2.5. That just won't fit. The area for a label is just shy of 2" high and just over 2" around, definately not 2.5. Well...I guess unless you wanted an overlap...then 1.9 high would work...but you'd have to be freakin' accurate getting them on. (I'm always a mite crooked! ). Hmmmm....I might have to get a sheet and test those. Edited to add: I've just requested a sample sheet...so we'll see how it goes! Donna
  17. Well! The first thing you do is box that up and mail it to your wonderful friend (me!) in El Paso! Hmmm....I'd toss it into the freezer....and when it's good and frozen, drop that bad boy from shoulder height and break it into small pieces. Then store in a closed container. I'm fairly certain you can freeze butters with no funky effects..... Donna
  18. http://www.fragrancesbydesign.com/ Always happy to enable....
  19. Lemme tell you...that Blue Sugar ROCKS in CP soap! I have a batch that just finished curing and *I'm* using it more than DH is! I call it my "totally lickable" fragrance! ROFL. I forgot that Denise put in a Sweet Temptations and Angel sniffy in my last order (and some clamshells!)....those two have been added to my list of things to get too! LOL Donna
  20. Oh, I have to agree! It seems like before I can even have a thought after processing an order, she's already emailing me with shipping costs! Dayum...but she's fast!! I love her oils too...at least the one's I've gotten. I really like the philosophy fragrances (amazing, baby and pure grace) and got them all from SW...and FBD is WAY cheaper...and OOB they are exact dupes of each other...and in soaps/lotions too! I also have: Burberry London - my friend is giddy for this and it's exact Irish Spring - DH is giddy for this! Blue Sugar - I won't say more Nectarine Blossom & Honey - my MIL flipped! I'll definately be getting more....hehehe Donna
  21. Well...I don't always go "by the book".... <sniff...sniff...wiping eyes> Most times my lye is chilled and definately NOT room temperature or warmer. No problems here! Of course, I avoid gel like the plague, but have an oven warmed up just in case something decides it wants to gel (and then, by God, it's gonna gel ALL the way even if I have to help it!). I love gift horses, and don't look in their mouths at ALL! Remember this VERY important step though.....we will EXPECT pictures tomorrow. Donna :::who, grumbling, added Orchid Rain to her evergrowing NG list!:::
  22. Geez....don't be embarrassed!! We've all probably been there and done that! I make (and sell) single bars all the time. First, find out how much your mold will hold. I have milky way molds and WSP or MMS or somewhere lists how much is in each cavity. Then....this is my "formula" so to speak: 3 oz soap base = 1.8 ml FO (transfer pippette for measuring) 4 oz soap base = 2 ml FO 4.5 oz soap base = 2.1 ml FO Cut up your base, chunk it up and melt it. Color...I just eyeball it....I'll drop some color on a waxed paper sheet and then toothpick some in until it's the color I want. Hope that helps! Donna
  23. http://www.texasbasket.com/index.html This will be just what you need.... Donna
  24. You need to put the design/graphic/words that you want on EVERY label on the page on the "Master" tab. Then at the bottom of the page on the left, there is two right pointing arrows and a single sheet of paper icon and then multiple sheet icon....hover over the single sheet icon and it will say "new tab". Click on that and you will get the first label on your sheet. If you have 20 labels...keep clicking. There may be an easier way if you are only making one label all the same....but I am usually making labels with different scents, so I have as many tabs as I do labels. Donna
