Im about to go to our local grocery store. I would like a recipe on how to make lye soap, hot process. I need to know exactly what items to purchase. This is just a test batch so......im if its not necessary please say so. Im leaving at about 5.00 so let me know soon please... thanks

Since i made many different scents, i took it out of the bottles, but i have made it in the bottles that it comes in. As far as the scent ration, i just scent it until im happy. I try to make mine really strong so.... I use about an ounce or two to an 40 ounces of hand sanitizer

Well, im not gonna say were i got mine from because i dont wanna talk bad about suppliers but i will also check into other suppliers.

Every since someone mentioned BCN's base I've been searching like crazy for it but I cant find it. Can someone post a link. The Germ X brand works great. Alot of ppl in my family are nurses and us it like crazy.Many have sensitive skin and they've never had a problem with their hands drying out. The Germ X does not have enough fragrance to smell so its easily covered and smells absolutely wonderful. It works great for testing which is what I've used it for so far. You'll also find that some scents will leave the base or germ x clear while other will make it cloudy. SO far, they only scent that I've tested that will leave it clear is Strawberries and Cream.

I also use soy and pour at lower temperatures. I even decide to try them again at a super low temp and they still came off and the wax frosted REALLY bad. I might try the silicon. The super glue im using is a gel and cost around 3.00 for a pack or two which will last throught about sixty candles. The silicon sounds cheaper so ill test it.

thanks for all the help. i think im just gonna stick with my glue. it works great and ive had no problems. i just thought i would try to wick stickums as a time saver.

i use metal tins though, i do warm my jars and wash them before pouring. welp, ill just stick with my glue.

i used the kind thats got some moisturizers in it. Germ X brand is only like 4.89 or something like that for 40 oz. It colors well and throws scents great. Be careful when mixing though!!!! if over mixed or shaken it will completely liquify and lose the slight thickness it has.

well, i actually just bought regular hand sanitizer from walmart to try out the idea. it worked great!!!!!!

about how much are those, i paid like 1.50 for 100 but i woulda paid 50 dollars if it would have saved me all the hassle and dissapointment

my show is weekend after next. My first show...... im soo nervous.....and broke....lol

Im glad you did good. I have my first ever, large set up besides my store displays may the 12th and im am soooo nervous. I've got sooo much money in it. 25$ to set up, 100$ for tent, all the supplies, packaging .... so far ive got near 500$ into this show including all the product supplies. If i make back the 500$ ill be happy, heck, if i make 125$ ill be happy.

I have a small show on may 12 and so far i know there are two candles vendors including myself. As far as i know, we will also be grouped together.

Yeah, gelluminations has it but its out of stock :{. I order some last week and was eager to smell it but when my order arrive it was short the Japanese Cherry Blossom and Lick Me All Over. I've order a bunch of their "dupes" and they have all been great. You should check them out. They have a great sell going on. All fragrances in 1, 4 and 8 ounces bottles are only 1 dollar per ounce.

I dont make sell reed diffusers but every type that I've tried even my competitors did not throw well.

Yeah, im using super glue gel which has worked great. it takes forever to dry but after it does, that wick isn't going anywhere.

The bottom middle one is really nice, I love the texture and color of it. All of them look great though.

Im so disappointed. I order wick stickums for the first time last week and got them in yesterday. They held the wicks in great until I added wax. It was chaos. I was in a frenzy trying to save a whole pot of wax that had just been poured into my containers which no longer had wicks. I ended up wasting 5 containers, 8 wicks, 2 pounds of wax, some fragrance, wick stickums, and a whole lot of time. I thought that the wax might have been too hot but it was just luke warm. Anyone else had similar problems?

The government should not allow this to happen. Big companies who can afford to go trademark tons of words could go and put a tm on every scent name and that leaves all the littles guys to struggle forever for new names which, as far as we know, could get trademarked the next day. What are we supposed to do when theres nothing left? Just make candles and not tell what type it is. People are gonna want to know what scent of candle they are buying. I agree, unique names should be able to be trademarked but, buttercream frosting???????

The clear one looks really nice but the white really makes it stand out. I think I would go with the white but, like I said, the clear looks great too.

Hey guys, that is my myspace that you have seen. My son set it up and used his age. He put the company thing on his myspace to be funny. He is a bagboy but instead of putting his income as under 20000 he put 250000 plus. We dont carry the 300 scents, we just offer them to people who order from us for wedding and party gifts. We have tested all of the scents in one product or another except for the ones labeled as premium soy( i have them listed but do not sell them).I have candle tech on my website because it has been helpful to me. I dont mind people knowing that I just started making. Everyone in my community knows this. The last time i was on here, i took yalls advice and slowed down which has helped. I know i have a bad rep and i want to change that. I like the idea about burning candles. I was gonna offer samples of my lotions and handsanitizer which I also thought would help. My products include candles, soap, lotion, handsanitizer, multi purpose freshener and I m thinking about trying out the carpet freshener which Ive tryed after reading the recipe last night. Thanks for your help. Oh yeah, I wanted to add that I no longer dropship. All of the products that I sell, I make. I do use gelluminations supplies though. They are a very good quality and I couldn't be happier with them.
