I went today to distribute my wholesale packages. Although, most of the places I planned to visit were still not open(small town, they open when they feel like crawling out of bed:rolleyes2 ) the main place I wanted to wholesale from me was open, an hour late none the less. Of course, I was there waiting anxiously at 10 . I gave up and visited some other places and came back at 11 and she was open. She seemed very interested. She asked many questions which I took as a good sign. She also wanted to know if she would be the only store in town carrying my products if she decide to order with us. I gave her several samples including some airfreshener, hand sanitizer, and soap. I also let her smell and view my candles. I wanted to give her one but i had already given her $10 worth of products and I am almost out of candles(my last batch sold like crazy) so I had to be stingy. She said she would be in touch in the next few days if she decides to order so I will keep yall updated. Wish me lots of luck.

Don't slap me either please. I agree. The labels and the containers look awesome but, the labels seem to break up the bottle too much, if that makes sense. You might try getting smaller labels, like address sized labels for those containers. Thats just my opinion. They look great though. About how much will the set retail for?

I use their FO and they are great. They have good prices also. You should try their Gardenia. We love it. Fruit Slices and Lick Me All Over are also good sellers. Cranberry Citrus, or something to that effect, also smells great.

Print you own. They look sooo much better and you can control everything about them. You can even get some labels at walmart if you woul like to try printing your own.

Here is a pic of the package. Its super blury but I'm too busy to retake it. I have got twenty of these to make and it takes forever to make just one. There is lots to cut out and even more folding. So far I have gone through three printers just to get that one to work right. The first too were lexmarks that cost a ton and they both messed up. I finally just ran to walmart and bought the one that printed the fastest, suprisingly the cheapest one. I ran throught the sample cartridge in less that three pages lol. I think they look great. what do yall think?

Yeah, I plan to offer at most 10 scents per fundraiser and probably at most 7 products. Yeah, I am getting my contract written up.

Hey everyone . Thanks for the ongoing help. I am using bases. By formulate, I mean, determine how much fragrance/ flavor and dye and that sort of thing. I would never come up with my own formula and sell it the next week. I have been working on lye soap for 2 months now and I'm still not satisfied with it. I will work on all of the gramatical errors and things like that. Oh yeah, the guarentee should definitely be reworded. I came up with 17 days because thats two and a half weeks. (supplies get here in one week, one week to work and delivery time.

Ok i am doing the trifold type brochure and I have all the business info(name address, phone number etc etc) on the back. The front is a little wordy so I will cut that down. The inside has my four main products pictured with descriptions. I then have a place that says your price_______ your retail_______ your profit_______ I fill in their price and then they fill in everything else. For the other ten products, it just has the name of the product and the your price, your retail, your profit. On the carpet freshener it does not say that we are still working on the price, i just said that on here. I have the forty colors listed so that if they want to color their own way they can. I though i had written that we could pick the colors for them. I have extra room. i acually had to make things larger to fill it in. I only have the candles listed on my website that I have some left of. I had sold most of what I had by the time I adde that list. The fragrance list is just to show what I have to offer. Fundraisers are told that they will probably want to choose a couple fragrances, we can even pick out the bestsellers for them.I also tell them that they need to pick just a few prodcuts. The order in mulitiples won't fit with my prices. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the heads up on organization. Glad you caught that before I made a ton of these. The program I am using is great, so great I bought two versions. The newer one has spell check and of course that would be the one I would lose. boy time goes by quick it just seemed like a few months ago when you were just getting started making candles. now you have more than 300 scents.... I know!!! I have worked my butt off. Testing constantly and looking into new products. I don't wanna move too fast but I think that this was the step that I needed to take to continue growing. 329 scents 40 candle colors 8 skin safe colors and 14 flavors.

Not so with my soy wax. I had a customer leave one of my candles in her car and it was scented and colored and it melted . I felt horrible but there was nothing I could do and she expected me to do nothing so I felt a little better. Now I put in big font. DO NOT EXPOSE TO DIRECT SUNLIGHT.

I sat down and have spent two days working on my brochure and its packaging. I think I have it done. It looks fantastic. I was going to post pictures but, I couldn't find the cord to either of my digital cameras so..... I am going to post the text of my brochure so you all can tell me what I need to change. the front says: Thanks for showing interest in our wondeful products.We would like to begin by introducing ourselves.We are a small business that makes handmade candles, soap, lotion and so much more that was started, and to this day continues to be ran straight out of our kitchen. For this reason, we can closely monitor and inspect each and every product before it leaves our doors. Customer satisfaction, quality, and safety are our number one priorities. We only use the highest quality of uncut fragrance oils in our products. We also try to make our products as natural and environmentally friendly as possible. I absolutley love the aluminum bottles. I have the aluminum look going on( candles in tins, air fresh, body spray, fabric freshener, lotion are all in aluminum slimline). I have the same problem with leaking. I use Specialty Bottle. I am seriously thinking about changing to PET but everyone loves the bottles. I am gonna email specialty and see what they have to say. I like the idea of plumbers tabe. I might try sealing them with slicon or something like that(this shows how much i do not wanna change,im getting desperate)

Never though of this or tried it but it has become top priority for my try out list. Its seems like a wonderful idea.

I understand, like I said, I'll probably keep it this way for a while because managing one site is hard enough. I would die if I had two.

Hello, thanks for all the help so far. All the pics are crap. I am planning to retake all of them in a few days. The pics look great when you are looking at the originals its just resizing them thats making them looks so bad. The age spotted skin is our counter tops. The lighting is just terrible in the pics (i had the flash turned off). I voted it terrible when i was setting up the poll, just a test. I am currently using old descriptions for my candles and products. I am going to work on editing all of those also. I will also check into some other fonts. It probably is loading slow at the moment because all of the old stuff is still loaded onto the server. The "logo", there horrible pic next to Southern Scents, is just a filler. My logo is rectangular(portrait) and it wont fit so i just stuck that pic there until I get back on my computer where i can resize everything. I have thought about two sites but I'm going to wait for that until a later date. I have quite a few who have signed up for my wholesale account thus far and if i keep getting interest i will get a seperate site for that. I will enlarge the business name and i will also word my all natural differently. Thanks. Working on the page title showing twice. its really anoying and he's( website designer) got it written into the html somehow.

Ok, i put the list of gelluminations and CT on there for the search engine ranking, just never removed them. will work on that. I know the bule is bright and I am thinking about a color change but I m gonna get lots of opinions before i do so. There will be more products in the future. I had the 8 OZ aspect written in my description but i rewrote them so i will add that back in. Its not on my scent label but it is on my warning label on the bottom. I am gonna take the add out of the middle when i get a chance. I think the buttons on the right side is unique and thats why I chose them but if no one likes them then i will change them. I am definitely going to work on the pics, they are horrible. I get tons of comments on my survey so im seriously thinking about keeping it. I am gonna work on all of the text more. Most of it is pieces of previous website just pasted in so i could have a quick look at it. Thanks for the help and keep it coming.

Welcome. I am sure you'll stay up for hours studying long and hard. The board is filled with tons of usefull information. If you going to make container soy candles, start out with EcoSoya CB Advanced. Its awesome.

BTW there are still a couple pages with the old design such as site map. We are still working on those. Never mind, he just got them up.

I have been working, well, my web designer and I have been working on a new website design and I think I have got one thats looks great. The pics will have to be retaken and I'll have to change the size and rotate them all and my logo is a little to big to go next to the business name at the top so I'll have to work on that and there are a few other tweeks that need to be made. They look very unique. I actually like them. They do look a little dangerous though. I would be afraid to sell them

It truly does not matter to me that my so has the business listed as his. It is a family business. It truly would not matter to most people unless they were looking for a fault in something. I will remove the link from my site.
