I actually just received ANOTHER email just yesterday! For those of you who aren't familiar, here's what the message will say:
I sent you an email a few months ago about selling your candles through our stores. We work with thousands of buyers from gift shops, boutiques, department stores and large chains around the country. I still think your candles would be a great fit. We guarantee sales plus you can pick and choose who you want to sell to. If you're interested in selling your candles to more stores visit us at http://www.intostores.com/sellers.php
Sincerely,
Kevin Sanderson

Yup, exact same email I have received.

I'm tempted to send in a suggestion for a bulls$#% scented candle.

Bitter Creek South for me.

If you're going to put wax filled jars into the oven be sure you put them on a cookie sheet. Will save many hours of clean up time if one should tip over! (Not me. Really, not me!)
lol, I was going to add this if no one else had mentioned it.

Don't sit on a container of cinnamon apple fo if there is some spilled on container. That stuff will burn you in places you don't need a burn. GInger

any comments to make?
I've never seen them mentioned here, but they're on the supplier link, and they have an additive that no one else has.
-
They have sent me emails as well.. I just ignore them.

I have Fresh Linen from the BCN Wick Your Wax line. It is very well received and it throws well in my personal soy blend.
-
Best wishes to you!

Ah, I've got this one covered... I used to try and use a bamboo skewer to get rid of them, but found that they would move around I'd miss them, and they left marks when the wax dried.
Then I found that if I took a piece of paper towel, no bigger than the size of your thumb, roll it up into a log shape, you can poke those bubbles instantly.
Works like a charm!

^ interesting. Thanks!

Has anyone tried the Grapefruit Mint Cuttings and the Eucalyptus by Thymes from Scentworks and how did they like it? Did the fragrance Stick? Also I got the Iced Keekum Tea?
Barbara AL
I did not get the throw that I wanted from the Grapefruit Mint Cuttings. I'm using a CB135 blend.

OK.. maybe this is a stupid question but I've got to ask it.. how do you insert wicks into that? Isn't easier to put the wick in and then pour the wax?
-
When I first started.. I started with Palm, and I found I could add up to 10% soy without changing the crystal structure of the Palm Wax without it being noticeable. As Stella mentioned, I did it mostly to soften the wax a bit.

scifichick.. it's not the liability for a faulty candle that you have to worry about.. it's the cost of legal representation to prove it wasn't faulty that is what is so costly. You MUST have insurance.
I sold only to close friends that I felt were responsible and wouldn't sue me if something did happen. And that was it.. no strangers until I had PL insurance.
-
Pun intended?
I used Nature's Garden White Tea mixed with their Gingered Bergamot in 464 and it was awesome & strong!
Oh lol, didn't even think about it. Officially "pun unintended".
-
I love the scent also, but I can't get it to throw in soy worth beans. Very sad. :-(
-
Thanks everyone.. will give it a try. Sorry for the typo in the title.. meant CB135. Let's see if it will let me change it.
-
How did it work for you? Looking for a Citrus Cranberry.. others I have tried from other companies don't give me the scent throw I want.
-
ok.. I thought I was going nuts... I also have had trouble. I have reduced the fo, I have increased the wick and gotten a half decent burn, but reports that the scent is too light. I'm not selling it at the moment. :-(

Has anyone here decided after testing several waxes to use ecosoya cb 135 as the wax they use regularly use for making container candles?
Yes. I have used it for years and am very pleased with it. Tends to wetspot a bit, but other than that I think it's wonderful. I do recommend adding your fragrance oil at a higher temp than the manufacturer recommends though.

I really need to get some pictures out there. Just haven't had time.

I was glad to hear that someone in the DFW area was carrying Ecosoya waxes. I was counting my cost savings since I've been shipping from Houston (BCS).. however, they calculated their shipping rate at the same prices as BCS. Across town vs 200 miles!.
I will admit however, their per case cost was a bit lower. They will still have my business.
