I do this too. I can't believe the amount of companies that don't use USPS. You can fit a lot in flat rate box. I would almost wonder how many sales these companies lose when people looking at shipping cost and say screw this. I know I've done that numerous times. -
Thanks for the reply. I know it would take me a while to go through them too. Since right now I'm just selling on etsy waiting to move back to the east coast so I can do shows and farmers markets will all my products. At this point I doubt any of them are close to 10,000. I wondered if anyone contacted the company that sold by weight which was in Florida. They didn't have a shipping calculator and I'm always leary to order from a random website.

PCBrook you said you purchased the Madina ones and they were terrible? I'm wondering how terrible compared to the others. They are definitely the cheapest by a decent amount and they all seem to not be the quality we are looking for. Here is my price break down: Wish there were other suppliers and my shipping would be a bit lower if I ordered DPG with them. I'm wondering if it is worth it to go with the cheapest. I've blended mine with pink sugar and it's good but I know a lot of people don't like pink sugar. I really really like the sugar cookie dough. I had it melting the other day and I could smell it I swear when I was sleeping lol.

Anyone know if 415 would work with a palm blended into it? It doesn't seem many people blend anything with palm for melts/tarts. It's weird cause I've had such good test results with most of my melts with myself and testers, then I get a few customers getting medium throw in scents I know throw well. It's so frustrating.

While the majority of my customers haven't had a problem with the palm wax melts that I make I have had a few say they aren't getting good throw on scents I know that throw well and have been thoroughly tested. So I'm looking to add either soy or paraffin to soften the wax because it seems if they don't have the right melters it won't throw correctly. I don't want to have to start all the way over so I figured I could still incorporate palm in them, plus I have 3 cases of it.

I really like them a lot, I've sold a bunch of it but haven't heard anything back. My testers liked them too.

Thanks for this info. I'm wondering about scents of paradise because they have good prices too and also have extras to order with it, dpg, fo, etc. I'm just wondering how reputable the company is. What is the difference between charcoal and wood?

I thought the response was kinda strange. Like they knew about it but until people called them out on it they weren't going to change anything. I guess other people either don't care or don't pay attention. Personally if you ordered 10,000, you'd probably only get 9,000 usable or less. To me that's not right. Let us know how the Wellington ones go. I'm curious to see if you actually get 100.

I did email SOS and this is the reply they gave me: I am sorry for any confusion. The stick contents are estimated, as these are hand bundled and hundreds of thousands of bundles are batched at once. We may not have been clear enough on this fact originally, but have since altered the description on the DIY instructions to include this. The pricing of the product reflects this estimation, and does not assume the max number of sticks (100 pieces per bundle). They can vary from 85-100 due to slight differences in the weight of each stick at the time of manufacture.

I'll second this post. I ordered a 1000 an not one bunch had more than 90 in them, plus the bad ones you are shorted a lot.

I just put a toasted marshmallow in with a zucchini bread i melted the other day and it smells amazing.

Very cool. I think I'm gonna play around tomorrow and instead of mixing in the FO's prior do half pours. We'll see how that works out.

Thanks Karen EXTREMELY helpful. I also did a few lavender blends. I do have bakery, fruity, christmas and fall scents. With more than 2 scents do you guys do equal parts? This past week I've done: Pink Iced Tea Pink Marshmallow Pink Lime Lavender Vanilla Pink Lavender Lavender I think I need to do a 70/30 maybe.
