  1. Do you honestly think he is selling any of his products?
  2. I totally agree on this and to allow wireless internet which is hackable would be odd!
  3. I'm pretty sure you can not legally make a verbal contract or even have a business as a minor. I will ask my mother, as she is a lawyer, there is no way I would even want to buy a product from someone under 18.
  4. seems to me maybe she's not interested anymore and just doesn't want to hurt your feelings or be mean. How do you forget something 3+ times.
  5. Is he/she seriously a 16 year old? Is it even legal to buy products off a minor? Way too many different products involved.
  6. Soapers, Thanks for the info. I do agree with the whole charging more for private label. But he said he would give my info out if someone seriously asked for it and wanted to buy from me. But he said he perfered not to have my label on them while selling, which I sorta understand. I also told him there would need to be at least a minimum order of 600 per order to make it worth both our times. Any suggestions on the best way to ship that many tarts? Never done that before. I just mapquested it and this place is about 2 1/2 hours from me so I'm thinking shipping would be cheaper than a roundtrip of gas for 5 hours. I'm making up some tarts now to send them off to him, hopefully he likes them. he agreed on .32 each which is double my cost of production.
  7. Also found his website. http://finderskeeperscrafts.com/index.htm
  8. Definitely wouldn't allow the guy to come to my home, I would meet him somewhere or drop them off. I'm doing some internet searches right now and also my mom works for the state and can look up information for me. Just found this on craiglist. This is the guys number and email. http://columbus.craigslist.org/ats/399033187.html
  9. He offered to pay for the samples through paypal. He said he runs a small store in a craft mall. He also said he doesn't put the person's business label on the tarts also he doesn't want them packaged either. He gave me both his home number and cell phone number. I was only planning on sending him like 6 tarts, so i guess if i get ripped off for 6 tarts i just won't do that anymore.
  10. Ok people, i was crazy and threw these on ebay, had a credit coming, to see if they would sell, anyways I had a guy contact me wanting to whole from me if he liked my samples. He lives within an hour from me. Anyways my cost on these are .16 each without packaging. I do buy my supplies in bulk except for my soy which really wouldn't alter the price that much unless i bought in a pallet(not going to happen) He wanted to stay around .30 cause he currently buys for .40 and said that is too high for him. Any opinions? I also posted this in the business side of things. Just need to know if this is a good idea or not, never done wholesaling just regular craft shows, friends, family, coworkers.
  11. I'm waiting back to see if he actually wants them packaged or just in the wrapper. If not packaged I would go .32 cents each, which is 2 times my cost. I do buy in bulk with everything I use except for my wax which I normally just buy a few 50# boxes at once. Personally it might be a good thing to do as I would have or it seems to have steady business from him if he liked it. But I'm waiting on him to provide more info as to where he sells it, etc. Can anyone tell me any specific questions I should ask him?
  12. Ok here's the story, I just had an auction on Ebay up for some tarts I made, I had ebay credit and wanted to see if i could sell them, anyways a guy contacted me saying that he would be interested in buying wholesale from me after i send him some samples and if he likes the samples he would do wholesale. Now I have NEVER done anything wholesale, always just friends, family, small craft shows. The tart I tried to sell on ebay, see candle pic forum, is a 1oz tart in a foil wrapper. He I guess is looking for a new supplier cause he currently pays .40 each for the same kind of tart and wants to pay around .30 each. Now it costs me .16 to make each one of those tarts as long as i don't put any packaging or labels on them. Now i know nothing about wholesaling, do you put your label on or not? He said he would drive and pick them up eliminating shipping costs. Is this worth it? He said he would order 600 from me at first, but i figured that would only be a $90 profit. I can't decide if this would all be worth it or too much of a hassle for a small profit. Sorry this just happened today and well he wants me to get back to him by tomorrow....I have no idea what to do! Help and opinions needed!
  13. Short and Sweet! Need some ideas on some "cool" tarts, i'm tired of making tarts in the way too popular flower shaped or whatever it's called. I spoke with a guy today who said he uses plastic cups, not sure exactly what he meant. Also just tried the foil wrapper, well they are nice but i hear they get messed up easy. Need Ideas!
  14. Personally I think they look nice and it adds something then just being packaged plain, also keeps them clean and doesn't mess up the bag....anyways Sharon how do you package them?
  15. I was surprised they come out of the wrappers perfectly...I think cause they are not paper, i tried it out in paper ones and it just got messy cause it somehow leaked through. I got the wrappers at hobby lobby. still have no idea how i would package them....
  16. Well this is the first time I'm trying my melts in a mini muffin wrapper. Just curious to see if people think this is tacky or what? I perfer the metal/silver wrappers compared to the white ones. Opinions very appreciated. Also they are Cinnamon Crunch and really strong! TIA Kristin
  17. Just got some tonight at Big Lots for 6.50 a case, I'm in NE Ohio...They are the regular Jelly Jars. Not sure if I like them though plain or with the embossing... How do Jelly Jars typically sell? I was thinking of selling them, after testing and everything at about $5.00?
  18. Does using shrink wrap on tarts help the scent to stay or does it start smelling like the wrap? Just curious if anyone shrink wraps there tarts? To me it just seems cleaner as soy can get messy.
  19. Just curious to see if anyone uses these to put their tarts or votives, etc and sell them? How well do they sell like that?
  20. i've done a bunch and they come out nice for me and they just pop right out of the ice cube trays i'm using...i'm not sure what to tell you..i pour mine at 100
  21. i also live in florida and buy from candle science...i can't see anyone driving from texas to buy wax to save on shipping...texas is pretty far away...
  22. I'm wondering if i can use the 415 in a clamshell, i love making tarts but as said before the handling gets messy and putting them into bags gets crazy too, sometimes they look all smudgy...
  23. Just curious how do you get on the co-ops everytime i click it , it says i don't have permisson?
  24. I live in Florida and there are no suppliers down here...closest is candlescience and they have reasonible shipping, i wonder if they'd carry the 416...
  25. CMM what do you package yours in? mine are a little soft i don't mind it and the people i've showed them too don't either...
