    Do a forum search for gellumination. You'll find quite a few posts regarding her CS and oils. I personally ordered a bunch of oils from her a few months ago before doing my own research on the company. The oils were so-so but the CS leaves a lot to be desired. Neither are something I'm willing to compromise so I'll just spend my money with the companies that have superior CS and oils.

    I make sure my wax is at 200 in the melter. From there I put the wax into my pouring pots and add fragrance and color...then pour. I know that the wax has cooled off by at least 10 degrees at that point, probably more. I'll have to check the temp right before I pour into my molds next time for grins and giggles.

    I use the starburst and don't have either of the issues you two mentioned. My tarts fall right out of the molds and I've not encountered but a very few that have had air pockets. My haphazard way of doing the palm tarts must be the key because I prefer it over any other wax for tarts. I just heat my wax to 200, add fragrance and color, stir like mad and pour. I don't measure my pouring temps for tarts with the starburst because it just works for me. I don't know what to tell you other than there is at least one of us boardies that uses the starburst and loves it.

    Wow. I wonder if they have more than 1 Diane that works in the CS department? I've spoken with a Diane many times and always have a very friendly conversation with her.

    I placed my 1st order with them around the end of April. I ordered 11 different FOs and got 2 of those out of stock slips in the box. Never received any sort of notification that my order had shipped nor that those 2 FOs were out of stock. I emailed asking if I could substitute for the 2 that weren't shipped and never received a reply. I did finally get the 2 oils that were backordered but I am definitely not impressed with the way the company does business.

    Here's an online tool that will do the encryption. http://www.iwebtool.com/html_encrypter Be sure to make a backup of the original code before you replace it. HTML encryption is known to break certain things so keep that backup handy.

    Well, I finally found some canned goat's milk locally and now I have a question. Since this seems to be the thread that the m&p queen is frequenting I figured I'd ask here. LOL Do I just add the GM directly out of the can or do you mix it according to the directions on the can first? I have the concentrated stuff. TIA

    With the plastic bottles I use the squirt lids but with my glass bottles I use pipettes because I've yet to find a squirt lid that will fit them.

    I do a scent of the month and offer it at a 15% discount. I get anywhere between 5 - 35 takers each month. I offer the scent of the month in 8 oz candles and clamshell tarts.

    I heat mine up to anywhere between 170 and 180. I haven't noticed any difference in the final product with the slight variance in mixing temps but 150 is my sweet spot for pouring.

    I agree with what TOP said about trying to achieve a blend with pre-blended waxes at anything less than 50/50. I've tried just about every soy wax with the 4630 at several different ratios and keep coming back to a 50/50 blend. My blend of choice is C-3/4630 at 50/50. I pour at 150 and get no wet spots, no sink holes, and no frosting. I got similar results with a 60/40 blend but did get a tiny bit of frosting on really dark colors. I still have about 20 fragrances to test but so far this blend has proven itself with every FO I've tested thus far.

    Here's the kind I have. It has a very faint yellowish tint to it but is clear and odorless.

    I got mine from Target, it is clear and virtually odorless. Definitely didn't pay $3.87 for it either!

You can also have a free store but it's less features and you can't customize the look. The monthly price is less than you pay for most hosting accounts plus the only upgrades you would have to do yourself will be those that affect custom template users if you decide to customize the look of your store.

    I've been wanting to try some of the rolled soap loaves and those pics have inspired me to get off my duff and just do it. LOL Very pretty!
