  1. The top layer wouldn't be weaker when you re-heated it for the re-pour if it was a heavier scent that settled at the bottom of the pot. If anything, the top layer would be stronger.
  2. Gonna have to check them out too. I'm a sloppy pourer and I love anything that makes cleaning easier....LOL!
  3. Going to check it out now!
  4. I tried the J225 and didn't think it was much different from the J223. Initially, I thought it adhered better, and that was the only real difference that I saw, but after a while, the wet spots appeared. I don't think it's worth the extra money.
  5. I believe those round ones are made by dipping a water filled balloon in the wax. Donita had instructions up at one time. Maybe someone who is doing them can jump in and give directions!
  6. Researching, reading old posts, taking notes while you read, can save you an amazing amount of money! I read for months before buying my first supplies, and made good decisions based on the expertise from this board. I know that many take offense when told to "search" but it really is the best learning tool here and can save a new member so much time and money.
  7. Peaks Frosted Carrot Cake is one of my best sellers in the Fall. It must be one of those scents that just grabs people this time of year.
  8. It won't take 100 years, but it will take longer than a month to master a decent candle. Do some research here, read all you can read, and learn all you can learn, then try to master one thing at a time. I would also give serious thought to canceling the shows. If you want repeat customers, you have to have a quality product and I don't see that happening in a month. Nature's Garden isn't to blame for your wax woes. Bad batches of wax happen. They are a very popular supplier and your $100 credit won't go to waste if you use it wisely.
  9. I've never bought their candles, but I imagine they must just be using wick tabs with a longer collar.
  10. Double wicker here too. Two 44-24-18z in J223.
  11. This has been an ongoing debate! Some swear nothing has changed, other swear that it has. I happen to agree that it's not the same wax that I used to buy. I get a lot more wet marks now, have to do a second pour, and I zap the tops of every candle now checking for sinkholes. I never had to do that before. Do a search and I'm sure you'll find lots of opinions on this!
  12. There is no pine smell in the Spiced Cranberry; just a nice, cranberry scent. Sounds to me like the bottle was labeled incorrectly.
  13. Read supplier reviews. That will give you a starting point. When I started this, I didn't have a lot of money to invest, so I researched before making my first purchases. Read the reviews on various boards to narrow your choices, then buy sampler packs from a few suppliers and start testing.
  14. I listened...but don't worry, I'll share!
  15. There are two ground shipping options available for residential deliveries, FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery. FedEx Ground doesn't deliver on Saturday, FedEx Home Delivery does.
  16. Wow...Those are just beautiful!! If you're giving lessons, count me in!
  17. The Ebay listing made my day! Thank you, I needed a good laugh today...LOL!!
  18. Hey E, Love your signature line: "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing." Alexander Pope's An Essay on Criticism (1709) You might want to practice what you preach!
  19. Peaks here, and I color it the palest of pinks!
  20. Peaks. A very true scent. Can't go wrong with it!
