  1. so i tried the cellulite scrub... and couldn't get past testing it to actually market it... i'm not a scrub person i absolulty hate them i tried testing it but couldn't do it soooo.. on to my next project. i want to make a skin firming body butter i found a list of natural ingredients that are great for skin firming reccomended by dermatologist and plastic surgeons. can i make a body butter out of these ingredients or am i gonna have to add other oils and stuff and how in the world do i incorporate greentea into the butter green tea aloe vera shea butter emu oil hyaluronic acid (which i can get as a serum but will prob leave off due to research on its benefits going back and forth)
  2. never be dissapointed we just did a show after table fee we only made $5 but it got our name out there
  3. you always get your payment up front for orders people don't expect otherwise. if you go to a partylite show or tastefully simple you pay when you place your order. you show is no different and people know that
  4. ok your reffering to an open house in your own home. not having one at someone elses house. don't open it up to the public if your not comfortable. its your home you do as you please. invite friends, family, past customers, people along those lines and tell everyone to feel free to bring a guest. make sure you give everyone a time frame instead of telling them it starts at such and such a time. you don't want people to feel like they have to show up at a certain time telling them it runs from 12 - 5 and to show up anytime is the best way to go about it. if you choose to serve food keep it to a minimum. people have a tendency to eat and run. (free food who can say no). i'd say get some cheapo clipboards from walmart and put an order form, business card, catalog/ brochure, and anything else like that that you have on each one and as people come in hand them one and a pen so they can fill out as they go around. set up a table with atleast one of each product you make so people can see it and all that. and just make sure to be availible for question. i like having cash and carry because people like to leave with something and try to have actual samples to give out to people. gotta love samples i don't have any pics but you can go on my website and get an idea of how we set up for craft shows. theres a pic on the home page.
  5. i set up basically like my craft shows but i only put one of each scent out and do cash and carry and orders. i do a quick little yada yada about the products and then let people sniff and chat and i sit nearby at a table ready to take orders or answer questions. whatever you do keep it at a minimum you don't want to take over your hostess' house with your stuff or give them to much to look at giving them the chance to get tired of sniffing and miss some stuff
  6. thanx tangerine.. now i gotta figure out WTH i did, did i add an n to ever single aroma i put in there
  7. we use the cardboard risers from gershel bros gives you a good sized space under your stuff to stick everything and u can drape fabric down the back to cover the cashbox so no one gets any ideas
  8. arkangel, thank you for your opinion we left the apostrophe out on purpose, but may consider adding it in not sure really like it the way it is with nothin there. the webset was designed specifically for us using out colors and the lily was used because of the name. i'll definitly add in the address and phone number but were waiting till we get our po box for our address right now since we work out of my house. i have no idea what a vingette is lol so i wouldn't even know where to begin with that but i'll look into it someone i know is awesome with photoshop so i might be able to get some help there. Deb, Thanx so much that looks great i'm assuming you don't mind if i use that if you don't want me to just let me know and i'll change it back but i really love what you wrote indy, isn't sharon the bestest so patient with us sometimes lol everyone who complimented thanx so much and feel free to point out any errors. a well put together website is a key part of our business and its very difficult to step outside your own box and critique your own work
  9. thanx everyone yeah def a work in progress gotta get the new pics done and up and everything will look alot better
  10. ugg i prob have so many typos lol i have to have people go through and proof read for me i never see them until its to late. thanx for pointing that out i'll fix that i gotta go through all my pages for like the 10th time and find some more typos
  11. awesome thanx deb good idea i'll go do that now. i can see what you mean
  12. ehh i was gonna keep this off of here for reviews not because i didn't want reviews just for other reasons but its whatever now so please tell us what you think. the webset was done by PA and is hosted by Handcraft Market. love them and PA deals with me so well i'm suprised i haven't sent her running for the hills by now lol www.leolilys.com ETA: the pictures look like crap right now they have our old labels on them and we didn't have a lightbox so i did some really bad photoshop editing on them to make them look half decent
  13. every year it will change every season it will change its best to have a really well rounded scent line so that most people will be able to find something they like, obviously its not possible to carry every scent but having florals, and fruitys, and bakerys really is the best way to go
  14. usually its karma for me, cause i usually place an order and won't order certain scents cause i don't really need them at the current time and the few ounces i have will hold me over HAHAHAHAHAHA. i'm such a silly girl and i'll never learn. but atleast i'm not the only one it happens to
  15. just wanted to bump this up see if there was anymore word on it
  16. i wouldn't worry about this year like you said you did 1.5 times more, the only reason the bottom line was the same was because you had to furnish a new building, your not gonna have to furnish a new building this year year so there should be less expenses this time. good luck and keep with it
  17. where does everyone get their sample containors from?
  18. looking great dani, you really need to stop posting this stuff or i'm gonna be shopping at your store again lol
  19. i've discontinued alot of scents cause they just weren't selling as well as others and the most we've gotten from people was ohh why are you getting rid of it, it smells so good .... in my mind i'm thinking "are you gonna buy it? no? ok thats why were getting rid of it" people usually find something they like even better
  20. my walmart is supposedly too the woman there said they keep saying they are but then they keep getting more and more fabric in. the walmart 1 town over is getting rid of their as soon as the new walmart in the next town over from that is built its nuts

  22. i wasn't actually at the wedding but my friend told me everyone absolutly loved how they came out and everything so woohoo. she even took an extra one to work to show all her co workers. which they just raved about them too. i gotta actually get my rear in gear and upload the favor pics onto my website. i also need to get to work on some baby shower favors i'm doing for hubs cousin. now just need to figure out how much to charge for the heart shaped favors. any input?
