  1. Hi All! I'm about to place an order with Peak for tealight containers and wicks. I have been using the zinc core wicks, and they seem to perform fine. Some mushrooming... but not bad. Has anyone used cotton core wicks for tealights before? I've used them for larger containers, and I like them, if they are kept trimmed. If you were ordering wicks for tealights, which way would you go? Thanks! Krystal
  2. Hi Everyone, Time to order more wax, and I'm uncertain whether I'll order Comfort Blend IGI 4627 again. I love the performance of this wax. Steady burn, long lasting, great throw. But it's like making candles with Vaseline! I gave up using a knife to cut it early on. I've tried a big spoon (broke the big plastic spoon!) I've tried my hand in a latex glove. I have to conclude the best way to get it out is scoop it up with my bare hand. Then it does NOT wash off. I have to wipe my hand clean, as best I can with paper towels, and hope I don't leave too much residue on door knobs etc, everywhere my hands go. Anyone else use this wax? Love it? Hate it? Suggestions on working with it? Thanks! Krystal
  3. I took a trip up the Californian coast to visit my mother this past weekend, and I stopped at four different Wal Marts on the way. My local Wal Mart has always been really bad about restocking the glass I use for containers. Well, most of the Wal Marts were out! I only found my glass at one, and I bought all they had. I was lucky because it was on sale, but I'm afraid that means they are going to discontinue it... I use the Anchor Hocking votive holders, and the Libbey. I don't remember which company makes which one, but I've used the beehives, roly polys, hurricane, and oysters. Are the rest of you able to still get small glass at Wal Mart? Where else are you going to obtain your glass? BTW, I'm in Southern California. Ventura County to be specific. Thanks! Krystal
  4. I have two scales. The one the works best by far is from Weight Watchers!
