  1. It's just insane how much problems they have with EVERYONE! And even those who haven't had a problem yet, well, you will. I have absolutely NO IDEA (?!) how they are still in business. I'm going to do my best to keep this thread visible. I'm so NOT happy about their taking of my money, lying to PayPal and of course as every already knows their customer service is just the worst!! I just feel it's important to help others realize that shopping with Gelluminations is shopping at your own risk!! If you do need to order from them, do so ONLY at sale time (so you don't end up out too much money) and ONLY using your credit card so you can have a way to get your money back if necessary.
  2. Just wanted to bring this back up to the top as a general warning about this company. While they did make the one order I did with them right, I gave them another shot and they just pulled the same old tricks. I'd advise anyone and everyone to purchase elsewhere... somewhere that appreciates your business. Buyer beware! Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!!
  3. Gelluminations is a disaster. I have no idea how they are still in business. I don't usually do or say things bad about companies because everyone makes mistakes but this place is just out of control. I have no idea how they are still in business, they are rude (if you actually ever get to hear from them - Usually it's not until you do a PayPal dispute), they lie, they steal... it's just a joke and I feel stupid for giving them more than one chance. My warning, if you do end up ordering from this company do everything you possibly can to protect yourself so you don't end up losing money on the deal, which is likely. After all they have to make up for their ridiculously frequent sales they offer, I guess they do that by not sending out complete orders and keeping your money. Buy at your own risk!!
  4. I will try that elfcat thanks!
  5. Oh dang it, I made them before we moved into our new house and I just boxed them up wrapped in paper towels. I guess that wasn't good enough. I have never seen the weird solidifying of the sweating before. Oh well I guess I have a bunch of soaps I can use myself now!! Thanks DeAnna.
  6. OK, I've never seen this before. Some of the soaps I made about 3 months ago, are getting tiny little crystal like beads all over them... just as if they were droplets of perspiration, but they aren't wet like water, they are bumpy and hardish. Any thoughts?
  7. They have sales every other day... I didn't realize anyone bought outside of a sale!
  8. $9.99 for a pound of Vanilla Bourbon is not really all that pricey if you ask me! In fact, I consider them to be cheap! I never used to have troubles with this company either but it's really went downhill. I'd be very wary about ordering from them if I were you. As to the quality... I liked them enough to give them another shot after they screwed up last time (because they made a small effort to fix it). They are thicker than most other FO's from other companies but they've always worked great for me. The Pink Frosted Cupcake is killer!! I hope I can find it somewhere else so I won't have to discontinue it!
  9. Just wanted to link my thread to this one.... http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83046 I would advise people against placing orders with Gelluminations. You will not get an email from them if you write, they will not answer their phone if you call, and often items will be missing from your order, not to mention the long shipping. Of course, everyone is free to make up their own mind, but it's a risk. Be sure to pay using PayPal so you can file a dispute if there are problems, or with your credit card so you can file a complaint with them. It is a risk I'm no longer willing to take. And it really stinks too because as I said in the other thread, there are several scents I get from them that are best sellers for me. But there are better companies out there that actually appreciate my business. I feel sick to my stomach talking bad about anyone, or any company but I honestly felt it was needed. Just like if you were on a golf course and a golf ball was flying towards your head, I'd yell "FORE!" Gelluminations.... FORE!!
  10. Well hopefully I'll get my money back... if not I guess lesson learned. But you know, wow, good for them that they get so many orders they can't pick up a phone or respond to an email. I guess I run my business completely differently. I like to be thankful for each and every order no matter how big or small, and do whatever I can (within reason of course) to make their transaction a good one so they keep coming back. Heck, who knows maybe they'd tell a friend how pleased they were with my items. You just never know right? But, Gelluminations has no reason to go above and beyond, or hey, they don't even need to bother with normal service! We should feel bad they are so busy they can't do what they are supposed to. :rolleyes2:rolleyes2:rolleyes2:rolleyes2:rolleyes2
  11. Well, I had to just come here again, and say that since they made things right for me last time, I did end up giving them another shot. Two fragrance oils apparently out of stock (although not marked as such on their site, nor are they at this time marked out of stock). I got the dreaded slip. Contacted them four times to find out what's up. No answer. I'll be filing a PayPal dispute if my items aren't shipped out by the end of the week, and unfortunately I don't think I will be able to continue to do business with this company, which really stinks because the Pink Frosted Cupcake I just ordered was divine. ( Anyone have a suggestion on where I can find this elsewhere?) I guess the saying, "Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me" really applies here. Anyway, I felt the need to come back and update the thread so others would know what dealing with this company is really like.
  12. Yeah, I just don't know. A couple of their oils that I use are best sellers for me so at the same time it would be hard to let them go. Definitely on the fence about this one!
  13. Thanks for the responses all. I think whenever I CP I stress so much that I'm going to make a mistake and have to throw it out. I need to get over that! Oh and CareBear I ran into that problem once already... I thought I was going to have to throw it out but then I gave it more time and it eventually popped out and was one of the best soaps I ever made! Again thanks all for your responses I really appreciate it!!
  14. I had to come back to let everyone know that I finally was able to speak to someone at Gelluminations last week and I was told my items would be shipping out. I am happy to report that I received everything that was missing and wrong today. Yippee! I'm not going to lie it was stressful trying to reach someone and actually get an email back but I am satisfied with the outcome. Not sure if I'll shop there again or not... I might believe it or not. The only thing that will keep me away is the fear I might not get responses to my emails... for me that is key to running a successful online business. But anyway, I just had to come back and let everyone know!!
  15. I'm glad you are getting yours goweezergirl. I don't think I'm going to be as lucky though!
  16. OK, so I can't remember or find if I asked this here before or not but either way I'd like some fresh opinions/thoughts. I mainly use those clear plastic molds and for me they have been difficult to wrap in towels after pouring the soap into them... So... How absolutely necessary is it? I ask because I keep wanting to do more CP because I enjoy it, but worrying that not wrapping in towels will hurt my soaps in some way so I've been shying away. I'd absolutely love to hear your thoughts!!
  17. Thank's for your post addicted!! What you said about emailing with the subject about wanting to place an order reminded me of something somewhat funny! When I first placed my order, I was having trouble with their shopping cart, which ended up just being a problem with me, but I emailed them on a Saturday night asking for help... my subject was "Coupon Code Not Working". I guess that got their attention because 40 minutes later (love gmail) they responded!! So when I wanted to place the order, pretty quick response, when there is trouble.... <insert cricket noises here>. I don't think you should place an order though! For me it wasn't a matter of not getting things that weren't in stock, it was a matter of just not receiving them and not receiving the correct item. Here is what they say on their policy page about items not in stock "If an order is placed for a product which is out of stock, we will ship the rest of your order as soon as we can, and when the back order items become available we will ship those out to you with no additional shipping charge." I will post updates to this thread as they become available. Who knows maybe they'll come through and fix their mistakes in which case I'd let people know. But at this point I'm not going to hold my breath.
  18. I have to just add one more thing. With gmail (which I use and so does Gelluminations) I can see when they are online. I know everytime they are logged into their email program and ignoring me. So it's like salt in my wound.
  19. You guys aren't going to believe this but I just looked over my invoice again and they forgot one of my 4 ounce bottles I ordered and I didn't even realize until now because I was so upset about them forgetting the more important scent I needed!! I guess I'll have to call tomorrow. Anyone want to place bets on whether or not they will respond? ETA - I could cry. Seriously. I'm just so upset. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to try to get my money back? Again, I paid with my PayPal balance.
  20. Ooh incense! One of my favorite topics! I tried a lavender EO and compared it to a lavender FO and found that the EO was quite a bit weaker than the FO in my incense. I've had much more success with FO's than EO's. I guess it's possible that I cut the EO too much, but if I didn't do a larger EO to DPG ratio, the cost of making the EO incense would just be too much.
  21. Bah. I paid with my PayPal balance. Guess I won't do that again, although I'm pretty sure they've lost my business completely!! Still no response from them. I resent my email and I (mentally) give them 24 hours to respond/make things right or whatever. Like someone said earlier, there are plenty of online sellers who will actually appreciate my business. Too bad one of my best selling scents is from them. For future reference, is it possible to do a chargeback just for the 2 items they got wrong? I'd feel bad about doing a chargeback on the whole order and keeping it, when most of it was right.
  22. I just had to come to give another update. So I finally received my order and 2 of the oils were completely the wrong scent. I almost had to laugh, when I thought about emailing. I did go ahead and send the email though, hopefully they'll fix their mistake, if not they've lost a customer for good. It's very hard for me to even want to do business with a company that won't email a customer back!
  23. I just had to come back and say that awhile after I posted this, I got notification that my package has shipped (on a Sunday?) Still no responses to any of my emails but at least I have an update. Hopefully, all the oils will be in there!!
  24. Well I actually liked the oils. They worked well for me, but doesn't matter because if they won't answer emails it really scares me from doing future business with them. My other suppliers have been very good about emailing me back usually within hours! But this is ridiculous!! I'm so nervous I'm not even going to ever even get my order and unfortunately for me, it's more than 1 FO. I just can't figure out how one can run a successful online business if they don't respond to emails!?
