  1. Woooo Hooooo! Found it! http://www.exoticfragrances.com/shop/ws400CS.cgi?no_search=y&category=V.W.%20Princess%20(L)&cart_id=1070107104614665&page=fragrance_oils.html&ns=Y&dci=
  2. I sampled this at a department store today and really want to make a candle! has anyone seen the FO anywhere?
  3. I have looked thru everything and all I have seen is that this board is privately owned. If it is owned by Peaks.......shouldn't there be a disclosure? I just assumed that alot of the companies advertised here were sponsers or paid for advertising here.
  4. Hmmm..........I saw nothing in the TOS about mentioning competitors boards or anything. It also seems that Peak's is not the only sponsor of this site. What I like about Candletech is the open communication and various skill levels of everyone posting. The free exchange of ideas & information is what makes this site great.
  5. Definately..........Patchouli! Party Lite has this as one of their new candles and it does smell nice! Big wick it though!
  6. www.iftp.com www.chemessence.com www.belle-aire.com These are a few........the websites are generally just good for the phone numbers though. They make too many fragrances to list them online.
  7. No wonder those candle cost so much! I guess every fad has it's price! Let us know how they do for you. I could just see dollar bills burning when I did a test burn.....LOL!
  8. Hmmmm...........will have to call them on Monday. If you don't mind how much are they charging for those puppies?
  9. Christmas Splendor? Not at all the same thing. I sell both and very definately these are 2 distinct fragrances. As for the apple cider......PM me and I will get you a sample of a really good one.
  10. Suppliers buy from the fragrance manufacturers. All of them have different minimums. IFT 10 lbs, Belle Aire 35 lbs, Atlanta Fragrance 25 lbs, French 10 lbs. I like them all and use them all you get samples from them and those are always free. I just got several samples from them and some I really liked. I asked them for a list of their fragrances and like all of the biggies they can't do that because they have over 40,000. So, I just asked for the top fine fragrances and did get that list. If you use alot of a particular fragrance, you can save quite a bit of $ ordering from the manufacturer. Choosing a scent is the most difficult because they may have 10 or more hot apple pies or pumpkin pies or, whatever. That why the samples are so important. Just to show how much you save.....cinnamon from a supplier....$13.00 per lb. and from a manufacturer $8.00 or less per lb. But really most are about 1/2 of what you would pay.
  11. Pink Sugar + Lemon = Pink lemonade Cucumber + Watermelon = Cucumber Watermelon Eucalyptus + Peppermint = Mintcalyptus, Odor Eliminator, Smoke Elimintor Orange + Clove = Orange Clove White tea + Rose = Tea Roses
  12. They look nice! I would pour them a bit higher though with no gap between the candle and the lid. The jars are very nice. Label is cute also! We never put the weight on the candles at our factory.
  13. I love their fragrances! I had a candle (Chelsea Flowers) and the throw was awesome. But.....the candle cost $65.00 retail at Saks! I saved the container and was thinking..........make my own! And gosh..it's probably only a 10-12 oz candle. Huge profit margin. I have several of the perfumes and think the candles could do well at a much cheaper price of course. I will check out the places you all have told me about! Thanks!
  14. Trying to find FO dupes for Bond No. 9 Chelsea Flowers. I have found Chinatown.........any help?
  15. Votive and tart wax is different from container wax......for instance 4627 container would not release from anything.
  16. Never add anything to 4627. Zinc wick are the best for this wax. Usually a 51Z and for those stubborn FO's or larger containers....62Z.
  17. But my question is you say that you are going to use the wax used for containers as tarts......right? If so, it wont release from the packaging. These containers say they are microwaveable and are heavy duty. I think it would be great if you could pour directly into these and just put the lids on when cool! Anyone else using these?
  18. Ocassionaly we have that problem also. We do not add vybar to the 4627, there is no need to. Sometimes you could have a bad wick. Are you burning it in a cold location....I had one burning in my sunroom in the evening and it tended to tunnel because it was cold in the room. Are you using zinc wicks with this wax? Size and shape of the container? Lot's of variables! If we have a customer that complains that a candle is not burning properly, we tell them to bring it in and we then burn another from the shelf to see if it's just the one candle. Of course we test all of our candles when we change even the supplier of the FO. Even my Yankee's I got for Mother's Day do weird things, burn very uneven and tunnel!
  19. Ok.....I really can't find a place to post this so, here's my question! I am thinking about how to get the most out of these beads. The ornies just don't put out the fragrance in the car that the beads in a sachet do. So, I thought about keeping it in place in the car over the heater vents....(you know it slides all over the place on the defrosters!) I didn't want to use an adhesive because it might leave a residue on the dashboard. I thought of some sort of a clip...sort of like those car air freshners that clip to the vents, glade type. If there was a clip that would clamp into to sachet bag at the ribbon tie area and then clip to the vent....that would be perfect! Any ideas out there? I love the beads on the vents because it puts out sooooooo much fragrance and lasts forever. I just want them to stay in place! Any other packaging ideas would be appreciated!
  20. why do you want to drill a hole in the mason jar?
  21. Why would you want to harden the 4627? That would really mess up the way this wax throws and the way it burns. We use it straight at all times in the candle factory.
  22. I mix 12 lbs in a large stock pot. Thats about as big as you want to try and pour into your pouring pot.........you'll get nice arm muscles lifting it though!
  23. For every one of these scents I use a 51 Zinc in a 16 oz jar. With great burns!
  24. First really cold winds of the season! No snow though! It just missed us! I'm doing a little spa party tomorrow and it's my first show! Working on my website and will open it after the party tomorrow. Tonight is Hot Baked Apple Pie and then smelly sinus relief tarts! What a combo! Last night was Vanilla Silk and Banana Nut Bread now that was really nice! So, I now have a total of 8 scents in candles for the party and the ever popular sinus tarts! After I'm done tonight.......labeling and boxing everything up! Hope I sell lots! Stay warm!
