  1. Scroll down below the description. Reviews are at the end of the page -Kristi
  2. Bay rum is great- a spicy clove pine scent. I colored mine blue like they recommended, but the scent doesn't really go well with it. OOB it's very strong pine, but in wax the clove comes through. Wick up. -Kristi
  3. What's your wax again? I'm testing 464 and getting awesome reds with liquid dye. I did a deep merlot wine with 4 drops red, 2 drops brown, 2 drops black pp and no frosting... After using C-3 I'm very happy. This colored much easier with much less dye. -Kristi
  4. Don't forget Love Spell lol... some of the other fav's are Passionate Kisses, Cinnamon Red Hots, Merlot Wine, Lick Me All Over, Misbehaivin', Pink Sugar. My SIL just begged for Cool Water too... All of those are NG's. My kids were SO cute when I poured Love Spell today... my 7 yob goes wandering around sniffing til he found me in the basement kitchen (candle-zone). He goes "What's that WONDERFUL smell!!!" I couldn't help but remember all those on here who hate it!!! He also gave thumbs way up to Passionate Kisses, Pink Sugar and Cinnamon Red Hots. He said that Merlot was "OK", but he didn't like Misbehaivin' (and I didn't tell him the names, so that wasn't it lol). So you have a 7 yo's review now lol... -Kristi
  5. I have ordered NG's Chai Tea. It's not a strong scent- if you want one that is almost the same only stronger, try Eggnog... it's very close to Chai only stronger (more vanilla too). -Kristi
  6. C-3 sets up very hard. It's very "poppable" to unmold. Not sure about others though. -Kristi
  7. they have them now at www.labelsbythesheet.com too. AND they'll add your business name, web address, phone number, whatever to them too. -Kristi
  8. I wonder if the sweet orange and chili pepper mixed with a pineapple mango would work? -Kristi
  9. I haven't used NG's soy, but I did make melts with C-3 and no problems. I use the same batch I pour candles from. The added bonus is that I can melt down one of the melts for a candle top repour if necessary and it's already the same color exactly. My vote is to try it next time you do candles! -Kristi
  10. I'm doing 4 and 8 oz clear window tins that I'll color for sure, but am strongly considering going white with my glass containers and using the "right" color ribbon and a silver toned charm so as to avoid having to look at frost spots... I'm still thinking about that though. I still think it's amazing how many people don't even notice frosting or think that it's cool looking. -Kristi
  11. I'm boycotting too... ughhh... and I really like their short neck wick tabs in my shorter containers.... -Kristi who is beginning to think that soy should really be colorless and is NOT looking forward to red Valentine's colors...
  12. duct tape also tears when gnawed... There's always tomorrow night.... -Kristi who's waiting on UPS to bring more stuff.... and it's all in town, but due to the weekend/holiday it won't get here til Tuesday....
  13. I do the toothpick thing too. Works great for small batches also! -Kristi
  14. I've always wanted a velcro wall....I'd never lose my kids again... lolol... -Kristi mom of 6 under 12....

  16. shhh- "mountain" is spelled wrong.... But it's beautiful anyway!
  17. I placed an order with Candles and Supplies (yes, I hear all the voices and see the eyes rolling lolol). I got a notice this morning that part of my order had shipped, but not the whole thing- they only had one case of 8 oz hourglass jars and none of the 14 oz. Does anyone else carry the other sizes? I'm only finding 8 oz jars at all other sites. C&S emailed me this afternoon (I called them this morning) to ask me how many I thought I needed cause they were going to contact the manufacturer... hmm... how about the number that I ORDERED?!?! lol. I told them that I needed the case of 14 oz immediately cause I hadn't used them before and planned on testing them relentlessly the next couple weeks. I ended up telling them that if they couldn't have them to me in under 2 weeks to cancel the order. Now then, anyone else have them or shall I just look for a different jar (I know, I should look for another jar anyway lol)... BTW- I'm in the Southeast... so I prefer not a west coast supplier (Cierra) Thanks in advance! -Kristi
  18. NG has a very strong Black Cherry too, but they have a more subtle and sweet Cherry Crumb Pie that's really good too. Not as strong though. -Kristi
  19. It's not a food cinnamon apple, so your hubby might be disappointed! It's very fresh smelling! If you WANT a food one, mix it with Sugar Cookie for a GREAT scent I called Country Kitchen. DH thinks it smells like Apple Turnovers. I personally LOVE the apple cinnamon though! -Kristi
  20. I have been using C-3 and used NG's Apple Cinnamon and it had a great throw. I'm about to start testing GW 464 (local supplier), so I'll have to test all over again with that one... NG's is a MacIntosh fresh apple scent with a spicy cinnamon. -Kristi
  21. Yuzu will smell burnt if you add too much FO. Kinda a burning fuel smell (ask me how I know lol). -Kristi
  22. I also do NG's Orange Clove. But another good one from them is Friendship Tea- it's a spiced orange with maybe a touch of a tea scent (not that noticeable). It's supposed to smell like that Russian Tea made with Tang and Instant Tea mix. Just about everyone loves Friendship Tea and it's strong in soy. -Kristi
  23. I did containers with chunks- make up about half the wax you'll need for the candle (chunk color and fragrance) and pour into a small pan that's lined with foil and lightly sprayed with cooking spray. Let it harden (I froze mine for a few minutes- I didn't really care how it looked when it hardened) and cut into chunks while still fairly soft. The chunks are still warm on the inside. While they're warm, pour them into your container, making sure to press many to the glass to adhere them well. While you're doing this, prepare your other half of wax and let it get slushy. Then pour over the chunks, tapping the sides of the container to help with air bubbles. I did this with Jack Frost FO, red chunks and white overpour in C-3 wax. -Kristi
  24. I would want to know approximate bar size. And I would type something a little different that what you've already said for the "about us" page. Looks good! -Kristi
