  1. No smacking here! This is the only smacking :highfive: ! LOL I just am so thankful for all the helpful hints and that Wen got it on the money! Didn't know what I wanted until I saw it! :yay: We're on a roll! Thanks!
  2. Boy, you guys are good! OK, I do like the lady but on the product labels only. The logo itself is stunning as it is. Adding the lady to the product labels will be a nice added touch to the bath and body feel for each item. Oh, I'm so excited! :yay: :yay: Now, another question: Will it be possible to get each graphic separately so I can have it configured into a webset? Topper, buttons, etc... You know, the flower, the text, the lady? Thanks so much!:highfive:
  3. I've used their: Amber Romance Christmas Memories:yay: Dreamsicle Strawberry jam Vanilla Bake Cuc & Ivy Hazelnut Coffee Creme Brulee:drool: And some others over the years and I don't have one bad thing to say about their oils. Top notch IMO....I pour paraffin and have poured some of their oils in soy, using their soy wax and they are great! HTH Carrie
  4. Hi! Yes, I would love to! About the lady, could you use the lady on the original logo? I kinda like the back view of the lady, maybe it wouldn't get so tangled in the typography like Top mentions. Just an idea. Thanks much!
  5. Jadryga, you are totally awesome! Yes that's it! Simple, soft, not messy or busy at all! Just simply soft!!! woo hoo!!! :highfive: :highfive: :highfive:
  6. The solution seems to be omitting the cyclometh.....??? BCS/BCN recipe states to add that ingred. for more smoothness/softness. But, here in SE Texas we have such high humidity/heat. Since I've omitted that no melting. Salts stay nice and dry! Thanks!
  7. How about this one? We're getting close! I do truly appreciate all of ya'll input on this as I AM NOT a graphic person and do depend on others to help me out as I know this group on CT is so capable. Thanks so much!
  8. Hey! Prairie and Top? What about this one???? Thanks and I do appreciate your input! Carrie
  9. I've been pouring 8 oz. and 16 oz. mason jars for the past 6 years.l 51-32-18z is the only wick I've ever used. And if trimmed like you are suppose to they are wonderful! My customers rave about how all the wax is melted on the sides and no soot! HTH Carrie
  10. FLASH POINTS! Know them! Microwave? Got a temperature gauge on it? Probably not! Question Answered............
  11. For Prairie... Good points, which is why I go to you gals! Have made some suggested changes to my GRAPHIC DESIGNER! For Top... Wrong! yes graphic designer, same one that did my candle webset. One must understand that when one contracts a graphic designer, such as myself, they, the graphic designer, follows the customers lead (that's my lead ya know). Hence, putting it here for you pros to offer your humble opinions. It's just rough draft and I'm appreciating the "honest" opinions. Truly! No hard feelings what so ever! Thanks all! Anyone else! Come on with your bad self! :yay: :yay: TTFN Carrie
  12. I used the double boiler method for 2 years in my tiny little country kitchen before I purchased my wax melter ($1000) and holds 2-1/2 cases of wax, best $$ I ever spent. I do have a presto pot, however, for the small little orders I do get in and don't have any in inventory (yes I keep an inventory of at least 1 case per scent in each size I offer). I personally recommend the spigot, tons easier and faster than ladling, unless you have lots of time. If you don't want to do the spigot method, just pour the wax into your pour pot. I lift the PP up high enough that when pouring the wax goes directly into the pour pot with minimal spillage. I do that all the time too....ladle, please, waste of time. IMO only. If you can afford a melter and there are some for a couple hundred dollars with spigots it's well worth the $$! Unless you only intend on pouring candles for a short time then purchase the PP. If you're in it for the long run, the melter is worth it, believe me! I now have 2! Just remember this is just my opinion. Don't want to start anything here:grin2: But, to each their own and I applaud anyone getting into the candle business....it's way so addicting! Been doing it for 7 years now!! Have a great weekend all!
  13. I hope I did this right! I'm starting a new B&B line and this is the new logo! Thanks for your opinions!
  14. Thanks! Yes, Scent Works has them but the are closed for now. I'll try SKS. Thanks again! Carrie
  15. A couple of days ago I ordered some of them from Kangaroo Blue, but they don't have the aluminum caps only the white. I want the aluminum not plastic. Bayousome has them but they're so expensive $41.78/50. Does anyone know of another place? Any help would be appreciated! Want these for my body butters and scrubs. Thanks!
  16. Same here, not impressed. You can buy better oils elsewhere.... HTH:grin2:
  17. Too cute! What a great gift for kids! She'll love them I'm sure!
  18. Hi! I have ordered these jars but was wondering what size label do you use on the side of the jar? I can't seem to find a website with a dimension. Any help would be great! Thanks!
  19. HI! I saw that someone on this board used www.logomaker.com and it only costs $49. Just a thought.
  20. I am using laser labels and the "inky mess" will not come off, it's almost like it's baked on. What could this be? Thanks!
  21. Hi! Another great place is www.brownkraftlabels.com. They sell by the sheet too which makes it great when trying out new labels for my products. They sell all types! Thanks!
  22. Boy! I'm glad I opened this up to see exactly what you were talking about....... then :tiptoe: OK, my DH prefers spray.
  23. Hi all! I'm opening up another website for bath and body, and though I think the brown sugar scrub is totally awesome, is there another body scrub that isn't quite so "messy" in the tub. I'd hate to have to include a bottle of Fantastic with every purchase! LOL Just kidding! But, the girls I work with are dying for a body scrub that is more on the romance/fresh line, not so much bakery, syrupy, etc.... Selling bakery down here in southeast Texas is very difficult. No disrespect meant at all! If I use this recipe, can one substitute the brown sugar and maple syrup for something else? How about a pure sugar vs. brown sugar. Sorry, don't mean to interrupt the thread, just asking. Thanks gals (& guys).! Carrie
  24. Does anyone use Cajun Candles NatureWax votive or pillar? Reason I ask is that I have a 50 lb. box of each and would like to mix with my IGI 4636 (paraffin blend) to make a soy blend. Does anyone know if this mix will work at a 50/50 or 70/30? Please help me..........my wax is calling me..........use me, use me........ Thanks in advance!
