  1. All White Candles has them at a really great price! www.acandleco.com I just got my order in a few weeks ago. Plus they have other really great items! The 4 oz. bottle, reeds and box w/lid. 36 sets for $81. HTH!
  2. What cute candles! Look yummy! Good job!
  3. Great! That helps alot! I just didn't understand their instructions. I'll try that! Thanks alot!
  4. Hi! I am making palm wax pillars with wax from JBN and their instructions says to let the pillar completely cool THEN poke holes for the 2nd pour. I'm doing this, but it's so darn hard to get the relief holes since the wax has completely set. Why with palm wax do you not poke relief holes during the "setting up" stage like you would with paraffin wax pillars? Just curious...... Any assistance would help greatly! Thanks!
  5. Wow! I just love those! Great Job!
  6. Thanks all for your nice words! I got these two 3 wick molds awhile back on ebay and they have the indentations at the wick spot. Pretty cool! I tell you what, these pillars are much easier to make than I thought. Just love the feathering effect!! I have an order for 15 sets of ivory pillars (9", 6" and 3") for a wedding in December, just thought I'd get nerve up ya know? Thanks again!
  7. Hi all! I just want to say that this board has given me the courage to make plam wax pillars. I've tried all other types with no luck and ran out of patience to boot! Please let me know what you think of my first 2 3-wick palm wax pillars. Pls. note that the diff. in size is because I only purchased a small amt. of wax to test. One on left is Secret Crush, one on right is White Tea & Ginger. Thanks so much!:smiley2:
  8. Hi! I've used NG's watermelon and it's very true! HTH Thanks!
  9. Hi! I've been making container candles for starting on 6 years now, and thanks to this board, have gotten up the nerve to make palm wax pillars. The candle gallery so inspired me!!! I purchased a 10 lb. bag from Just By Nature and I love it! So easy, and I am very impressed with their wax and with their service and prices. I also purchase a few scents from them as well! I live in Cat Spring, TX. and a case of palm wax shipped to me was $76, shipping inclued. Which I don't think is all that bad.... HTH!
  10. Hi! I have a candle shop that is 20x40 feet and I do not keep the a/c on all summer long. I have found that in the Texas heat the bakery scents tend to bleed the oils, like the vanillas, etc.... The rest of our shop gets very hot, I would think like a closed garage, so I wouldn't suggest that. The house sounds better. HTH! I love this board as well!
  11. Hi! I started with paraffin 6 years ago and thought I'd give soy a try. Figure I'd tap into that candle industry. Bought all the right stuff, tested, tested and tested and you know what? All of people didn't know what soy was or what the big hoopla was all about! I had to explain to them the story. I had a sale and reduced my soy candles and sold "some" and asked my customers to burn them and report back to me what they thought. They didn't like them at all! No scent, burned way too fast and was still smoking.... Needless to say I've stayed with my paraffin and only make soy for one of my customers. Plus, I sell way too many to put up with curing times! Give me a break! Just my 2 cents.
  12. Hi! I have tried their container wax and love it! I've always used J50, but since they sold out to IGI, it just doesn't work for me anymore. TCS wax is great! Highly recommend. NOTE: During winter months, you MUST heat the jars. HTH!
  13. Hi! I have a customer wanting me to dupe Tyler Candle's Kathina scent. Are any of you familiar with this one? I looked it up and it consists of Lily of the Valley, Rose and citrus.... Any ideas? Thanks so much! Carrie www.catspringcandles.com
  14. Hi again! I have tried them all and my customers can really tell the difference and all seem to prefer Nature's Garden's Iced cinnamon Rolls. Just thought I'd share that. Thanks! Carrie www.catspringcandles.com
  15. Hi all! I'm new here. Just reading around and thought I could share a website with you. http://www.geocities.com/lwoollen_25/FragranceFinder/. It has really helped me out in locating fragrances. Of course, not every single one is on this list, but most are. Thanks! Carrie www.catspringcandles.com
  16. I buy mine at www.mindystartwarmers.com. She makes them herself. Really cute! HTH
