  1. Update! I've decided not to go the "financial backer" route with my candle business. I want to sell it outright, lock stock and barrell. Had a meeting yesterday with two ladies from a local town and they are very interested and very excited! They'll let me know next week!
  2. That's only because it was a kit. The squares were pre-cut. It'll be much longer when I have to cut the squares. Thanks!
  3. That's a very pretty quilt! You did such a wonderful job! And the baby is gorgeous! I loves little girls..... I'm running behind in making more quilts. Hopefully next weekend. Looks great!
  4. Brambleberry's Energy Peaks Ocean HTH
  5. Maybe PM Wickerstix. She was in a swap and made some Vanilla Pound Cake clamshell tarts and they were VERY good! Loved them and now they are all gone (
  6. Ok, I use mals-e and do not have a Merchant Acct any longer and don't want one. Just want paypal only and the ability to take credit cards. Would that be Paypal Pro? Carrie
  7. I have opened a new website but only want to accept Paypal cash, paypal balance or credit cards thru paypal. I don't want to use a merchant account. Tired of that crap! How can I do that? Thanks! Carrie
  8. Thanks Judy for the compliment. I try to be nice...he he. I agree, I was reading that washing before putting the quilt together is a good idea. I'll do that tomorrow, then start cutting all the squares. It has to be done by June 12th. I better get moving! LOL Also have a baby boy rag quilt to do as well. I'll post when they are done.
  9. WSP is banking on the fact that you don't place the identical orders all the time. So...I was thinking...place an order for what you want, buy one item each day...then at the end of the week they have packaged umpteen orders for you. 'Cause they won't combine orders you see. They have to use one box per order, packing materials, packing tape, packing slip, payment processing, etc... makes their cost go up per order. See the more the weight, the more the shipping goes down. If you only order one item per order, you pay the exact shipping, or somewheres close. See the more you order on ONE order, their shipping actually decreases, meaning you've paid the premium and they won't refund you on the discounted shipping according to weight. Am I making sense? I sure hope so. With their "in place" shipping included pricing, you won't get the 100 weight shipping....you've already paid the "set" shipping included pricing. Hence, they just made money off your large order. If I'm nuts just tell me and I'll SU. Carrie
  10. I recalculated my 1/9/10 order where I paid $26.58 for shipping. Added those same items to my cart now and saved $3.09. Whop! It's not free shipping, I don't care how you do the math. It's shipping built in. Nothings FREE! Remember that. ETS: FREE shipping is when you place the same order you placed BEFORE the change and actually got FREE shipping. Now that's FREE.
  11. Wow! Your salt bars and soap look terrific! Salt bars are on my "to do/to learn" list. They look wonderful ~ good job! I LOVE your Vanilla Sandalwood! My fav scent for now! LOL Carrie
  12. Well, it was interesting. In a nutshell, for now, they are interested in financing the growth of the company with me working with them. Move the company to their location and train prospective employees. We would be marketing the business big time with mfg. reps, etc... They feel my asking price is way low for the potential they see. OR If I really don't want to be in on that, they would buy me out and continue on. I'm waiting on a proposal in writing with the nitty gritty. Stay tuned!
  13. I've used Cajuns Vanilla Bourbon which I love. I renamed Spiked Vanilla. Bourbon seemed to "scare" people! LOL
  14. I'm meeting with potential buyers of my candle business in 1 hr. They are coming out to my shop. I'm kinda nervous...we've been emailing back and forth and talked once on the phone. Wish me luck! Thanks all!
  15. Thank you for your nice compliments! My next project that I have commited to is a queen size rag quilt for my nephew and his bride-to-be. I've ordered bout $500 in fabric of all sorts, but theirs will be in primitive homespun checks and ticking (my favs). I'll post pics when it's done, if my weekend schedule will cease! LOL I just delivered the 300+ oyster cups and votive candles for their reception. Still have their mailbox for the wedding gift cards left to do. I post that one too! Why do I always volunteer?
  16. Yes, I just purchased 144 of the clear glass holders for my nephews wedding. They are very nice. Actually, I'm pouring them all tomorrow.
  17. I would call. I have gotten really nice orders that way. Sometimes, they just want to talk about the candles, etc.... You know, we as business owners are leary about some of our potential customers, and it works in reverse. I too question the validity of some sites I want to order from. It's just good customer service to call. IMO
  18. Peaks Birthday Cake! I got some tarts in a swap and love them! Smell just like cake frosting, rich and creamy! I bought me a bottle!
  19. Yes, Mike is a great guy! They have the best customer service and their FO's are awesome! Mulberry Madness is one of my favs from them. Carrie
  20. I just love looking at your pillar candles....they are always so awesome! Carrie
  21. Great ideas! Now that I think about it, I do have a small enamel pitcher with a spout. I could mix wax in the large pour pots and transfer to the smaller one, then pour:yay: Thanks all! Carrie
  22. Hi all! I have 140 oyster cups to fill and 140 3 oz. votive glass containers to fill and was wondering what you all use to fill these really small containers with. I have the large pour pots, but it's make such a mess. What's something small that will pour easily and make minimal mess? Thanks! Carrie
  23. KY's Pink Sugar Cookie Peaks Birthday Cake Those are my two favs!
