  1. I bet if I took all the candles I have made and put them in the cupboard filled with FO's, the candles would take up less room. How sad is that?
  2. We should all get together decide who wants to pour which scents. Personally I can't stand bakery.... you all can pour them for me, I'll do your florals and fruits. OK????
  3. Jami you forgot that important step....... singing Happy Birthday backwords... good luck!!!
  4. Huh? I actually do have a fishing stringer, clothespin contraption in my workshop. It works for me. Just thought I'd post a cheap solution to a problem, rather than them having to go out and buy something.
  5. Here's an idea.... get a string, tie it around the top of the thermometer. Lower the thermometer into the wax, then tie the other end to a cupboard handle, clothespin to the exhaust hood, etc. Your thermometer will just be in the wax, not touching the bottom. HTH
  6. I know what it smells like. It smells like my candle room..... and those crap candles I made with little bits of this leftover, and little bits of that, that burned down to blechy brown and my clothes and hands when I get done with small batches of everything. Why on earth would anyone want that??? LOL
  7. www.alabastercandlesupply.com is yummy and dead on. Great in soy, I don't do BB yet, but it's great in candles. Website says it's body safe. HTH
  8. I buy as much as I can afford at the time. I try to take advantage of any sales that are out there. Basically I believe I won't have supplies delivered by the truckload until I have trucks rolling out too!! LOL:D
  9. I'll second NG. Most of the time the straight strawberry smells too sweet for me, this is the best strawberry yet, but you can smell the tartness of rhubarb.
  10. Lilac - (Peak's) my personal favorite and my best seller year round!!
  11. Found some great little metal cups at the dollar tree packaged 4/$1. Course like everything else i find, i immediately started looking at them as a container to wick. They are like butter cups, but metal. I was using disposable plastic cups, but I went through them too fast. Very convenient if you can find em cheap. For me now, the "butter cups" are working great. Larger batches I will use a pyrex, or measure into the pour pot.
  12. Lonestar carries a 3.8 mm tall wick specifically for tealights. HTH
  13. No you need to change the orientation to 90 degrees on your text. When your labels come out of the printer, you should have to turn your head to read them, right?
  14. Looking to place an order soon for some other stuff and would like your opinions on oils that work well in Soy? Or those that don't? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!!
  15. 2nd on Peak's!! Most accurate and very strong!! I tried NG's, was not accurate at all! Hyacinth is one of my favorite flowers!! Love it love it!!
  16. Perhaps you might want to read this..... http://skepdic.com/coning.html
  17. LOL I agree 200%.... My best sales are from fo's that started as 1 oz samples. Love those free samples!!
  18. Your local SBA will direct you to the local banks and organizations who may have small business loans. I worked for a community action commission which administered a business loan program. You will need a business plan.... SBA can help with that too. But that will get you a starting point if you are anything like me and want to get started tonight lol. Good luck!!
  19. My BF said if I had the scent "racing fuel" he and his friends would flock to it. But, skunk, I think is worse. Yuck!!
  20. I've used votive holders from craft store for 20 cents. I have used them all up making votives and am using small plastic cups, however, I'll probably buy some more glass votives after the holidays.
  21. I didn't get past the OOB scent. I have seen them on your post in the gallery, they look nice!! Maybe they will grow on you. Kind of like when you bring home eucalyptus, and it's too strong. After awhile it mellows. Might give it a try. Thanks for actually testing it in wax LOL!!
  22. Cranberry or Cranberry spice??? Very North American!! LOL
  23. I originally asked the question about your dog, and haven't ever responded. I also have a beeeeeautiful Malamute. I searched and searched for a malamute breeder and was getting ready to make a trip to NC or something and then found one practically in my backyard!! They only live about 5 miles from me, so I was able to visit him soon after he was born and usually make it once a week till we could bring him home. That was one long 8 weeks!! He's four now and sitting in the chair next to me. Thinks he can fit in a chair at 130 lbs. Anyway this is him before, and after By the way, have you seen 8 Below???!!!!???? Great movie for us mal lovers. Two of Hercules' relatives were in the movie. Gotta Love the Dogs!
  24. You obviously are not a believer on toasting marshmallows by catching them on fire and letting them burn, then eating the black charred mess, otherwise you'd have colored them black. (Like some ppl in my family) Neither am I ...... love the colors!!
