  1. :smiley2: I am really happy about that. Just got an order for wedding candles. I didn't want them to look ugly. These people are having an expensive wedding. The person doing the decorating is a friend of mine. She's supplying the containers. She just wants ivory color and no scent.
  2. Does container palm leave wet spots like soy does? I haven't used container palm, just pillar palm.
  3. Thank you. I have been looking at their website.
  4. For what I buy from them, I don't. My husband is always telling me, "Buy the best that you can afford". When I place an order with Let it Shine, I usually have it the next day. That to me, is more important than the price of something. The fragrance oils that I have bought are really strong in Soy and Palm.
  5. I buy all my soy and palm wax from them. Also some fragrance oils. Shipping is fast and customer service is GREAT!
  6. I am researching about gel wax and embeds. Are there any other suppliers that are not listed in the sticky section? I have copied and pasted them here. www.aromahaven.com www.creativeilluminations.com www.bittercreek.com http://www.biomax1.com/ http://www.silkytyme.com/ http://www.brighterscents.com/index.html http://gelcandlesupply.safeshopper.com/index.htm?51 http://www.thecandlemakersstore.com/ http://shop.candlesandsupplies.com/candles/welcome.asp http://www.candlewic.com/ I would prefer the west coast, so shipping won't cost an arm and leg.
  7. I sell the 4 oz and 8 oz window tins. It's the 4 oz wickless that sell good for me. I offer both sizes in wicked and wickless. I am thinking about changing when all my tins are gone, to the no window ones. The window part does get smudged, and can get scratch marks in it. It also comes out really easy. I think the no window ones will be easier to label also. The advantage to the window tins...you and customers can see what color the candle is without opening it.
  8. You are welcome, Toni. You're going to love this recipe. So easy to make.
  9. Here is a link to Bittercreek's instructions for body butter using shea butter. http://www.candlesupply.com/how2bodybutter.html I have dry skin and use this all over my body. I don't scent it, so I can use it on my face at night time. I only have to use it on my legs and arms once a day. Doesn't take it long to soak in, and it moisturizes all day and night. I didn't put the cornstarch in it.
  10. Very nice:highfive: I use the feathered palm in my pillars already. Now, I too, have to get some container palm wax. Does the container palm leave wet spots on the glass, like soy does?
  11. Yes, the preservative is because of using this in the shower. I added about a Tablespoon of Jojoba oil to this. Went to use it this morning, and it is still hard. I'm going to have to really work on getting this usuable. The first day it was really nice. Might need to add more oil and whip it.
  12. This scrub is wonderful as it is. I really like not having to use cream everyday. Makes getting ready for work at 4 in the morning faster. I'm going to tweak this a little bit though. I'm going to add a little bit of jojoba oil to it. It hardened up too much for my liking. It still works though.
  13. Hi; Thank you. I only used shea butter and oatmeal in this. I didn't measure anything. This is for my use only. I melted some shea butter in the microwave for 30 seconds. Ground up the oatmeal in the blender. Mixed the two together and used some. I did put some liqupar optima in it.
  14. This is some scrub that I made this morning. I only had to use cream on my face. Usually I have to use cream all over. It's been a couple hours and my legs and arms are still soft.
  15. Welcome to the group. You will become addicted:D I agree with purchasing a kit to start also. This board and the Internet is a great help.
  16. Very pretty. I love the palm starburst wax.
  17. Hi Doris; I wouldn't partner with her. Like it was mentioned....could wreck a good friendship, your work habits and time may not be the same, etc. I just wouldn't do it. My girl friend and I tried to work together at the beginning. We had the idea to share costs and sales. But after about a month, I couldn't work with her any longer. She was too messy for me. I like to clean up as I go. Something that should of only took an hour to finish, took three hours. I can't spend my time like that. Now, she has her own business name, and I have mine. She makes and sells bath products. I make and sell candles. We do craft shows and home shows together. We brainstorm together also. I also give her 25% of the retail on my candles when she gets an order for me. We have this in writing and signed by both of us. Anyway...good luck in your decision.
  18. That is really neat. I may have to try my hand at gel wax sometime. I finally figured out the right pour temp for my soy containers.
  19. Amen to everything said. Welcome to the board. I belong to several candle and bath product boards. This is the one that I visit most. At first I was just lurking, then I started asking questions. Before I knew it, I was answering questions. The first thing that I learned was to have confidence in myself and my products. After I got through that, everything else was easy.
  20. chevcher; You will like the tea and sugar scent. I need to order more. Only had a 1 oz sample bottle of it. All of Rhonda's scents are wonderful. I can't say enough about them or her. I don't know her personnally, but she is an awesome business woman.
  21. Very pretty. Nice spring colors. Don't you just hate having to test burn pretty candles:yes:
  22. You have to try this fragrance oil from www.flickersfragrances.com I put 2 little chunks on the warmer. Smells just like a cup of tea with sugar in it. I think this may become one of my favorites of Rhonda's. The chunks were made with soy mold wax from www.letitshineusa.com No, I don't work for or get anything from these companies. I just like their product and service.
  23. I think it looks great. Pictures please when done. I admire you people that make soap and not mp soap. I have stuck to the mp kind. Too scared to mess cp up.
  24. I sell the mini muffin melts for $1.00 each, or 6/$5.00. I use little sachet bags for the 1. A muslin drawstring bag for the 6. I believe it's a 4 x 6 bag. I use a hangtag for my label.
