    Since I am a newbie I only got the log one that holds 2.7lbs. I cannot wait to use it. Which one did you get?

    I am so excited! No more freezer paper!! I need to clean it but I am using that thing tonight!!! They are so nice. I practiced taking it apart and putting it back together last night.

    I would like to make an all olive oil soap but Im wondering...do I just put the 100 degree lye solution in room temp Olive oil?

    I got a catalog in the mail and her soaps are cute but I have seen wayyyyy better on here.

    Ok I had someone look at my soaps and guess what....it is overheating in the mold. I was told not to insulate a test batch and see how it does.

    I really like that mold and I doubt I will ever go to those kinds of molds but where did you get yours. ( I think I like the wooden log ones better)

    I think its like a test. Like if you taste a little I think youre suppose to get the zap like a 9volt battery if its lye heavy. Not sure...hopefully Robin or someone else will chime in.

    This might be fun! I need to order a dehumidifier but I'm in.

    You like break off some and crumble it up under running water and it just works like regular bubble bath.

    I concur. The bubble bath bars look awesome. I love the bathbombs though.

    Do I need to heat the oil to make it the same temp as the lye?

    Here is a better picture. The only one swirled is the second and you can see how awful that is,LOL.

    What are those darn streaks?!?!? At first I thought it was the cocoa butter so I didnt use it in the last batch which is the 3rd onebut as you can plainly see, the streaks are still there. The first two are older. Somebody help me before I pull my little bit of hair out. landa

    I mix all my dry stuff together without the citric acid. I put on some gloves(latex) and just mix it with my hands til its the consistency of wet sand. then I add the wet stuff and do the same. After everything is mixed well then I add the citric.

    Yeah I was thinking of just doing that because my skin is always really really dry
