My kids and I have really dry skin and I was wondering if any of you lovely people had a recipe for a soap that is good for that.

LOL I was just so mad. I finally had a perfect swirl and then that happened. LOL Oh well I will try again tmw afternoon.

I made my 4th batch os CP soap today with a fairly simple recipe. Everything turned out perfect. I add the color and do a BEAUTIFUL SWIRL in the pot. I pour it in the mold and what do I see? I forgot the danged fragrance!!! I was so mad and I didnt wanna waste it becuase I didnt have the sample 2 oz thing it came in. So I pour it back in my soap pot and mix it and pour it back in the mold. Sooooooooooo disaapointed in myself LOL:mad:

home depot sells really hard plastic buckets that are used for mopping and such. That might work.

My lye was 100.5 but I dont remember what the oils were. I know they werent all that hot.

4.3 oz lye 12 oz water Can you mix lye water ahead of time??? And can you use other things beside water like aloe vera juice?

Ok I tried this recipe: Castor 3,2oz. AKO 3.2 oz. Avocado 1.6oz. Coconut 4.8oz. Shea Butter 1.6 oz. Olive 12.8oz. Lard 4.8oz When I combined the lye water and the oils. It immediately became thick before I even got to stirring well. What do you think caused it? I mean it looked like it had traced already. Does the temperature of the oils have something to do with it.

When adding things like ground oatmeal or clays, how much should you add for a 2# batch? When adding things like honey or other liquids, how much should you add for a 2# batch? TIA, landa

It is Caribbean Fruit Smoothie. It smells very good. It just looks bad. I still have some streaks. I keep using recipes from Miller Soap site and they arent working out. Hmmm
