  1. Carebear, are we the only 2 from CT going? Soapbox, not sure.... try searching the business thread w/ "kentucky gathering"..... I know there's a texas one happening (I know 2 different states.. my geography senses are off..*l*)..
  2. Is anyone else attending this? My mother and I are going.
  3. I know. It is very distinct however. It has a very "fresh" scent to me. It does not work well with a lot of fragrances though....
  4. OT: I kind of like the scent of it in fresh lotion... I haven't tried it in my sugar scrub yet....
  5. I was sent a few samples from onlinelabels.com I'm going to purchase from them.....
  6. wait, you're supposed to place the orange tabs BACK on the cartridges? I pulled all of mine off and out of the printer and the cartridges. I assumed it was like our b/w laser here at work. You just pull the tab off and throw the cartridge in the machine and be done w/ it.
  7. ok, that tripod is too much..*l*...I'll pass.... wow, I wonder how they came up with that one.
  8. NICE! What mold do you use? Your bars are sl clean edged....
  9. **resurrection** What did the jury decide?
  10. I love it. The logs make me salivate...*s*...
  11. Woops, sorry I meant to say who's soap this was. A friend of mine in the UK knows her. Her soaps are fabulous! Her passion oozes all through her work....
  12. I have one.. give me a few..... I made some Fall products last year... they didn't go over so well, but the recipe was fabulous...

  14. I wasn't measuring at the time I was using it... I used equal amounts of each herb and used tsp's - tbs of total mixtureand added it my shampoo recipe (how much of what I used depended on how much shampoo I was making. Back then I was only using a castille soap base... I plan on incorporating the same mixture in a home grown shampoo..) as for the scrub... try 1 - 2 tsp (I only buy soapnut powder from FNWL) to 4 oz of scrub... I will double check my notes later to make sure that's what I did. But it worked great. The soap I tried adding left a funky film on my skin, but the soapnut was perfect!
  15. I use it in haircare preparations. (Rinse out only).. I first made an Ayurvedic shampoo and incorporated it in the mixture.. it does foam a little bit. I like it. I also use a little bit in scrubs...
  16. ^.... I should take my "staff" to Hawaii next year.... :highfive: (woops I meant "viewed" and "sole proprietor")....
  17. For the reasons Soaper has stated I filed an LLC. I also was advised by a lawyer to do the same.... It was a pretty simple process. The down side (which is a minor thing) is that there is a $100/year per member, as well as there being a $10/3 year biennial statement fee. Fortunately for me I am a SMLLC (single member Limited liability co.) so I am view as a sole-propietor for tax purposes only. Go ahead, go LLC!
  18. your Hemp soap looks very bubbly! Try to up your coconut oil in your recipe.
