  1. I was at dollar tree about a week ago, and they were just putting out their Christmas stuff, so maybe it just wasn't out yet. I"ll check again this weekend too. At least I'll save on shipping.
  2. Thank you so much Sakura - that's exactly what I'm looking for and I don't have to have a 500 min order like with some sites.
  3. I hope this is in the right place! I was wondering if there were any place online where I could purchase wire baskets in bulk. I don't want a huge, one, just a small (less than 12 inches, more than 6 inches) to make a couple of gift baskets for Christimas. Any assistance is appreciated! Any color will do.
  4. You can also try the lip balm colorants from MMS (thesage . com)
  5. I got the Dove hairspray trial bottle - works like a charm....thanks Target!! I might try the paper towel trick too.
  6. Hi all: I think these are new - has anyone tried these paraben free bases? I have been considering using a lotion base for a while, was going with a company out of california, but want to save a bit on shipping - here is the link to these bases http://www.kangarooblue.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=6_106 Any information on these bases would be helpful. I am going to order a sample pack, but would love the instant feedback. I am also thrilled that they are carrying SFIC bases!!!!
  7. Thanks for all your replies!:smiley2:
  8. I am hooked on Elements - FAAAAAAST shipping, nearly overnight! Great products and prices. The sample containers are WONDERFUL!! Even when her prices sometimes may not be as low as other suppliers, I order from her anyway because she has a great track record. And did I say she ships fast?
  9. Wow, that's great news! I am trying to put together a home show for later on this month, Please let us know how it turns out!!
  10. I would like to try a new oil in my whipped butters...opened the cabinet and lo and behold! Olive and Canola oil, and LOTS of it. In your experience, which do you prefer in your whipped butters, if any? Thanks!
  11. I love istockphoto - you can get photos as well as graphics: Check this one out: http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/gender/female/women/1715670_pretty_pink_tub.php?id=1715670
  12. Hi ladies! Melt and pour doesn't need to cure at all. You can use it as soon as it hardens. That being said, sometimes if it sits out, some of the moisture evaporates and you may get a harder bar. In addition, the scent sometimes gets stronger after a few days also. I hope this helps!
  13. Has anyone ever done this? I am in a "circle journal" right now where each person picks a theme, then we each decorate a page spread in each other's journals. I am on my 2nd journal (we just started) and it's fun to see others' scrappin styles. I love to scrapbook and find it hard to get the time in between b&b and soap. But I make sure to hit all the sales at AC moore, go figure! So if I ever get the time to REALLY scrap, I'll have all the supplies!
  14. I get my bags from shrinkwrapstore(dot) com. They are really helpful via email and go the extra mile for you. They will guide you in the right direction.
  15. Pepperi, I took your advice (plus the advice and suggestions of others on the board) and added OO along w/a lot of other stuff to my bar and finally have it where I want it. I don't worry too much about the bar not lasting too long because mine are novelty bars also - they look good and smell good and ya can't get them in the store. As long as they don't melt away in the first few showerings, I don't think folks notice that much, honestly. Good luck! MP is fun to do - I know that I really enjoy it. I also use SFIC base - you might want to look around at different bases.
  16. Thanks for the tip soapbox! I am now waiting for my 2nd batch to set.
  17. I FINALLY got around to making some soap with my Euphoria EO blend from WSP. I used about 1.5% in a 2 lb batch of MP shea soap. The smell is so faint! I know when I used 1/4 tsp in 4 oz massage oil, the smell really knocked your socks off (which I love). However the smell is rather faint. You can smell it if you shove the soap up your nose, but otherwilse, it's hard to smell!! I made it last night...so I'm going to take a sniff this morning to see if the smell has aged any. (I've had that happen before w/other eo) Has this happened to anyone else with the EO blends from WSP in MP soap? I was kind of , but I can always up the percentage to the max of 2%. Updated to add: smell did not get stronger......remelted and added EO blend to the max of 2%. We'll see!
  18. What a great site! Thank you PrairieAnnie~~
  19. As Annie said, I use the ingredients list from the manufacturer, then say fragrance and color. My head is spinning enough from labeling my B&B products.
  20. I second SisterKya. Each manufacturer has its own level of percentage of oils that is safe to use in various products, but as always test test test. Welcome to the boards! You will learn A LOT here!!!
  21. Thanks! You've given me some good ideas.
  22. Hi all: Finally got off my tuchus and got to work. I have tons of scents, but am having a hard time narrowing them down. So, I got the bright idea (but have kept it to myself so far) to offer sniffies of each scent (maybe 10 or so, I'm not that crazy- I have over 50 scents here ) and do a custom made thingie for my whipped butter. I could do one of two things - make 10 tiny samples (about 1 tsp) of whipped shea and scent each with 1 drop of scent) or 2) dampen a bit of tissue with the scent and put them in those plastic vials where folks could sniff. What do you do?
  23. I've made MP soap with the Cafe Latte from WSP and the Fresh Brewed Scent. I also plan to make vanilla coffee with the Fresh Brewed FO and Vanilla Select from BB.
  24. I finally had the chance to make a massage oil of avocado, canola and olive oil and used the "Euphoria" blend. What a great smell and how little you have to use to get a strong scent. The massage oil worked great and soaked right into the skin after a few minutes of massage - no oily residue. I can't say enough about this EO blend. I love the fact that you have to use so little to get a strong effect. Highly recommended!
  25. I just received my order, but other things intervened this weekend and I couldnt do any testing:cry2: !! I have lavender, travel, euphoria and sensuality. I can't wait to try them in my body butters and soap - hopefully I'll have the time this week. I'm even more eager to try them now that I've heard the great reveiws.
