  1. Whoops.... Storm Watch FROM JS is what I meant the title to be.
  2. Has anyone tried the new Storm watch(dupe) from JS? TIA :smiley2:
  3. That is way cool. The Jamison whiskey would go great in hubby's pub....
  4. The glade glistening snow has a really good ht and it smells just like the real thing.... it's not my cup of tea but it's a great oil. I would love to know about the storms watch... I have been looking for a good one for a couple years!
  5. Some of the fo's are fantastic... and some smell great but don't throw. (I use paraffin). I am testing the pink sugar (got it as a free sample) and it has a great ht. I also love: citrus linen h20 white barns raindrops type midnight pomegranate caramel cinnamon latte salty sea air chai tea fabulous fudge raspberry patchouli vanilla patchouli pumpkin patchouli baby magic aveday rosemary mint (a bit light but would be awesome in soap) HTH
  6. I love those! My hubby is Airforce...

    Wax for tarts

I have tried several different waxes.... Taylored concepts 50/50 with their votive wax, great HT....The candle sources container wax makes nice tarts, great HT. Ez soy... alright HT. Also one other soy wax specifically for tarts....can't remember it off the top of my head. Currently I am trying JS votive/pillar wax for tarts because I like the fact that it's pellet form instead of slabs. Will be testing today! Just test until you find one you really like. :smiley2:
  8. I just tested (in tarts) Pumpkin "patch"ouli, and salty sea air. The salty sea air is really nice.... throws well... and is a nice ocean scent that doesn't give me a headache great ct and ht. It's a nice lingering scent. The pumpkin "patch"ouli rocks. It is a room filler fast. The patchouli stands out... while the pumpkin seems to tone it down a bit. My hubby loved it too.... makes him wish for fall. And the white barn raindrops type is really nice too. A great thrower and a nice clean scent. hth
  9. Cinnamon caramel latte, Citrus Linen H20 (my fav!), Aveday Rosemary mint. I have been out of the loop for a while... but when I was testing, these were lovely.
  10. I use this for myself during the winter... but I use 2 jars vit. E 1 jar petroleum jelly 2 bottles of my fav lotion (usually a baby lotion) Mix it all up and put it into a large tupperware to store it. It stores for well over a year (I still have some from last year). I put it into little containers for myself to use and even scent it with a safe skin FO. Works lovely. ... this is just for my personal use.
  11. I really like: Tis the Season Christmas Rumble Christmas tree Spiced apples and peaches :smiley2:
  12. The relaxation reminds me of a Victoria Secret scent.... not fruity... but soft and a little musky maybe. It is a nice scent but didn't give me a great HT. It did smell wonderful in MP soap and in lotion though. HTH
  13. I hope that's not the case with the gembeertarts. I haven't noticed that it fades... but I do use paraffin... which seems to work with ALMOST anything.
  14. I just got an email from Kraft yesterday with this recipe.... and thought wow, looks like some great soap I have seen at the CT board!
  15. Hi Sally, My wax is IGI 4627. The ht is still good even though it didn't incorporate into the wax completely. I can see it pooled at the bottom of my container. I am thinking that next time I will increase the temp that I add the fo to see if that helps.... I do love this scent!
  16. The butt naked is great too... christmas rumball christmas tree tis the season black raspberries and vanilla coffee caramel cream I just tested all of these recently (tarts) and these are wonderful. Haven't tried grandma's kitchen....
  17. Did the Andes Thin Mint incorporate into your wax? I had a very hard time with it at only 6% ....but it's such a wonderful fragrance. I am going to make it work for me if possible!
  18. Fantastic Jami! Thank you for sharing. I will leave the honey out for sure. I have read a couple things about sweeteners, but that was an eye opener. I can't wait to make it! I wish the mail wasn't sooooo slow ....
  19. I ordered JS's version for my sister... and it's great. It has a great HT that lasts and lasts in tarts. Smells just like the real thing....
  20. Would adding a bit more beeswax help keep it firmer if you are using the 76 CO? hahaha... as I know I will be keeping that baby in my pocket! I think I will refrain from using the honey... a sweetner sounds good but I don't need to lick my lips non-stop... and I do have some flavor oils on the way, they just aren't "sweetened". I will be making it this next week...so I will post my results.... good or bad!
  21. Thank you Jami!! That's exactly what I was wondering about the oils. I am soooo excited to give this a try.... but as I said, I have a limited amount of mango butter and didn't want to mess it up "experimenting". As for the honey... I have searched and searched for info with little luck. I am thinking I might just add a small amount at a time and see how it goes.... Thanks for helping!
  22. For some reason.... Amber Romance. That stuff smells like it belongs in the bedroom... Hmmmmm, I think I am off to go pour one....
  23. Her Andes Thin Mint is WONDERFUL! A bit hard to mix with my wax but it's a fantastic thrower. :smiley2: And smells delish!
  24. I am going to try this recipe, but I have never made a lib balm, and I am wondering... If I add castor oil... do I use less of one of the other oils? Also, can I sweeten it with honey? If so, would I need to use less of other ingredients? I am just going to play with it but I am going to use Mango butter, and I only have a small amount so I do not want to ruin it! I am a lip balm fiend. haha Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  25. This is what I use. It only has 1 setting... but I wonder how I ever did without it and I am only a hobbyist:wink2: I do as another person here suggested and place it on a cookie when I am finished using it to allow it to cool.
