Instead of the EO's could I use an FO? Would I still melt the crystals and mix with the FO. I'm thinking of London Lemon Curd!

Did you put it in the jar while it was still warm? Sometimes if you don't allow your jars/bottles to cool, before you cap them, then there can be condensation inside the container.

They're more for a scrubby type thing. They don't dissolve quite like the vitaburst beads do.

Ohhh now you're making me jealous carolgrant! Care to share the reicpe? Or are you just using a basic bath bomb reicpe with the added crystals, and making them in a smaller size?

OHHH I do have some menthyl crystals around here somewheres. Bought em a while back but never used em. I wonder how they'll work out in my lotion. Gonna try that sometime today!

I was thinking of maybe a cooling foot rub or lotion. What could I add to my current recipes to make them cooling? Any suggestions or recipes you guys would like to share?

So something like this. Soap Base (list of soap base ingredients), shea butter, fragrance,... ??

I add stuff to M&P all the time, but I don't sell it so I've never really considered where to place my added ingredients into the ingredients list. Very good question. Hopefully someone will pipe in with a good answer. *ps* If you add a big pinch of shea butter and a big pinch of foaming bath butter to a 2lb M&P batch it turns out really nice!*

I made this up a couple of days ago... Subbed shea butter! Turned out absolutely lovely, so far all my testers lubbed it! It's like a thick cream. I'm not sure how it'll hold up to heat though.

Oh I really do like the contrast between the bright color and the tan color for the Chamomile! Way to go!

I start everything out at 1% FO, if that's not up I move it up to 2%, I don't think I've ever had to go over 3% on any bath and body item... but I've never made soap other than the M&P kind.... But for lotion bars, I would say start with what you know and move up from there.

I didn't have a recipe to follow so here's what I came up with. 1 cup epsom salts 1/2 cup denidric salts 1/2 cup baking soda 1/4 cup citric Fo at 1% of the weight of the ingredients. Colorant to my liking I weighed out all the ingredients Mixed the Colorant and FO with the Denidric Salts *I remembered reading that the denidric holds the scent in better* Then I mixed in the Epsom and added a bit more colorant. I mixed the two really good Then I added in the baking soda and citric The salts were slightly "damp" so I spread them on a baking sheet and set them on top of the stove to dry out a bit Does this recipe sound good? Are any of the % of ingredients off? I had thought about spraying the salts with cyclo, but I was worried to much moisture would make them take forever to dry out, and maybe make the citric/b.soda start to fizzing.

hehehe... I just ordered some of these to play with... and I was planning on making some sort of foot soak/rub/scrub with them... little did I know that I was missing out on the whole Bath Tea Tingle sensation sweeping the message boards.

Let us know how that turns out. I did wonder what you would use for the Gel portion. I guess some aloe vera? Or maybe some silica to make a gel base. Does silica made gel dispurse into bath water? OHHHH... now I want to play!

Maybe you could make something similar out of a gel base, vitaburst beads, maybe some salt in there for a filler to the bitaburst beads?
