  1. Probably have to play with it BUT I would say 8%.
  2. I think so, the wick burns much cleaner, without it it smelt kinda smokey. I did try 1 oz pp also with no real difference so decided with the 1 oz per 5 lbs.
  3. I HAVE TRIED THE LARGEST OF , ECO, LX AND CD 5-6 BURNS BEFORE fmp AND THE ST IS LITTLE TO NONE.
  4. I am using 70% soy 30% paraffin. My jar is 3.5 inches. 2- CD 8's my FMP comes along in about 2-2.5 hrs. The melt pool is approx 1/2 in after 4 hrs. The wick is not to high and the jar is not TO hot.The scent throw is AWESOME. Tried 2- 6's, ST was poor. Tried 2 ECO 6 and 8, ST was poor, tried 1 LX 30 no FMP, poor ST. Should I try something different or would you just go with it even tho' the FMP comes to quickly? Just wanted others opinion. Thanks,
  5. I Have Heard Of A Company That Does That. They Add The Dye To The Whole 16 Oz Bottle, Shake Like Crazy Before Adding To Wax. This Is Ok As Long As You Don't Mix 2 Different Color Fo's To Come Up With A Scent Of Your Own, You Could Get A Yucky Color. Other Than That I Think It's A Great Idea.
  6. Do you not like the clamshells. SOOOOOO easy. Where are you in Ga.? I am in Valdosta
  7. what about a party supply store. I get mine there real cheap.
  8. MINE SMOKE EVERY TIME I USE A CERTAIN WARMER, THE SMALLER COMBO VERSION FROM LEVINE. THAT ONE GETS "REALLY" HOT. THE LARGER ONES WITH THE BIGGER BOWL ARE GREAT, AND OF COURSE THE FO LASTS LONGER
  9. Dee, I Cannot Say For Sure But I Would Say A Different Wax Or At Least Something To Add To It. I Think That Even If You Put Them In The Freezr They Will Still Be A Little Hard To Get Out Later, Depending On Temp, Especially If They Are Left In A Car For A Little While. Know What I Mean?
  10. UPDATE: OMG I THINK I FINALLY HAVE IT. 6006 / EZ SOY 50/50 AND 1 OZ BW PER 5 LBS. AND 8% FO, I ONLY USE 1 BROP OF BROWN PER 5 LBS. I REALLY LIKE THE SMOOTH FLAME WITH THE BW ADDED. I POURED SOME TESTERS 36 HOURS AGO AND AM BURNING THEM NOW AND THE ARE AWESOME. I MEAN AWESOME, I LIKE TO SMELL SOMETHING WITHIN 30 MINS OR I JUST AM NOT HAPPY. I THINK THIS FORMULA IS FINALLY A KEEPER FOR ME. MY JAR IS A 16 OZ APOTHECARY JAR (THIS ONE) http://www.jarstore.com/catalog/product_cat.php?subid=104 I AM USING 2 CD OR CDN 8 WICKS. ONLY HAD 1 OZ OF EACH FO SO DID NOT TEST THE 9 OZ JAR YET. OH DID I SAY IT IS AWESOME? I AM SOOO HAPPY
  11. I have not used EZ Soy for the clamshells, I use a 50/50 votive blend and they pop right out. Shouldn't have to tell customers you have to put in freezer first. Maybe someone will chime in and tell you what you should add to make in more firm.
  12. It definitely is a pain in the rear to get everything just so. Usually once I do I pour in mass quantity so that I do not have to pour in the winter unless absolutely necessary. Big cardboard boxes work great to cover the candles with also. You will find your niche, hang in there.
  13. Me tooooo ! Please let us know what you find out.
  14. Never used anything but liquid, never had the desire to. Just love the simplicity of the liquid.
  15. Lite-A-Scent, Do you have to do a re-pour on this wax? If not what temp are you pouring at. iIam blending it now so that I do not have to and also I HATE to wait for wax to cool down. It is sooooo time consuming. Thanx,
  16. Looks great, Keep us up to date. I can't wait to try this stuff.
  17. I just talked to CS I was told that IGI does not release that info but, they believe that it is 2/3 para to 1/3 soy. They also have a 6036 (new) that they believe is 50/50. The 6006 and 6006a are one in the same. HTHs
  18. I WILL BE CARRYING BOTH. YOU WILL JUST NEED TO INFORM YOUR CUSTOMERS THAT THE TART WARMER PRODUCES MORE HEAT THAN THE FLAME OF A WICK. THAT IS IF THE EVEN MAKE A COMMENT ABOUT IT. HTHs
  19. HERE IS WHAT I THINK YOU MAY WANT. ASTORLITE Q WAX http://myoldecountryhome.com/id41.html
  20. Do you have the lid on or off. 180 is a good temp for me. I usually have the lid 1/2 on 1/2 off.
  21. It is called a Turk N Surf PLEASE remember the first time you put wax in it you MUST pour melted wax in it, enough to cover the coil on the bottom, then just never let it get below that level and you don't have to worry about it. I have heard if you just throw loose wax in the first time it can catch on fire but once covered no problems. This thing holds about 35 lbs. I have 2 of them. Look around for good SALES, CLEARANCES, I picked mine up at K-Mart for 30.00 after the holidays, about this time of year. Good luck, you will love it!
  22. I did try it but only by accident. VERY< VERY< VERY hard to wick. Was making me crazy until I realized what I did.
