  1. The indention that is on the shorter coffee carafe like Mr Coffee just under the spout, where the metal ring is. You know! Wish I could draw it
  2. That Is Also Where I Get Mine. I Try To Get The Taller Type So That It Does Not Have That Big Indention In It. Hope You Know What I Mean
  3. Still testing the same 2 FO, Spiced Cranberry, and Apple Jack both BCN, the ST is awesome. I am trying, CDN's, Performa's and Zinc's so far the CDN's are winning. Going to pour some more tonight. Will let you know in a week or so. They did smell great after only 5-6 days tho'
  4. what type of wax Yank *me* candles are made with that has that bubbly look??
  5. Jennylynnm, the only thing that I can think of is if you have a electric griddle or electric frying pan. Heat is up and lay the candle on it's side and roll it on the heat. You will then have to rub the heck out of it with pantyhose to smooth it back out. Don't get the heat source to hot. Be very careful and try to only take small bits off at a time. Hope this is some sort of help to you.
  6. The excess that I cut off I save for testing later. If it happens to be placed in the wax upside down will it effect the way the wick burns? I am using CD and CDN wicks.
  7. Update: On the 7th I poured Apple Jack and Spiced Cranberry both BCN at 6% per lb. So only 6 day cure. After only 15- 30 minutes they are AWESOME. After 1 1/2 hours the MP's look great, wick burning clean. CD12 in a 9 oz Apoth jar and CDN 20 in 16 ox Apoth jar. I just wish that the wick would stay straight and not melt the wax to one side. I may try a performa next, haven't had much luck with it in other waxes tho".
  8. I have read on another forum about water being in the J223 occassionally, the solution was to get the wax up to close to 200 to burn it off, let it harden again and then good to go the next day.
  9. Candlelytes, OMG I lmao from your post only because I know exactly how you feel. Boy it can be so frustrating. Can't stop tho' the passion is to strong.
  10. With the straight 6006 I could not get a good melt pool alot of the time, to much smoke and soot, and always a big dip in the top, Had to always use the heat gun and I refuse to have to do a 2nd pour. They did smell good tho. I poured the EZ and 6006 on Friday will post results when I test them.
  11. I use it in my clamshells for tarts and LOVE it
  12. Has anyone mixed these 2 together and had any success with them. I will be trying it 50/50. Crossing my fingers, having been try to find a mixture I like every since I moved to Ga 2 yrs ago. Used to use EZ and J223 in Fl but does not work for me here. Makes no sense since there is only a 230 mile difference. The love of wax.
  13. Oh another thing I do is keep a candle warming plate near by and I keep my FO measuring cup on it to warm my FO before pouring it into the wax.
  14. I use old coffee pots to pour with, no drips. Small, white paper plates to put on scale which is in a big ziploc bag, also I put my pour pots on the paper plate, dye bottles, etc. I use 1.oo shower curtains cut to size to cover my table. I ha 2 old shoe cubbies that I took every other board out of and stacked on top of each other to hold FO's. A shot glass to weigh small amount of FO and a juice glass for larger amounts The rest already mentioned.
  15. Can I leave my wax at a low temp, say 125* in my pot for a prolonged period of time, and if so how long is a safe time. I have a 35 lb pot and it really is a pain to have to reheat it all just to pour a tester or 2. TIA

  17. Well I "just" got off the phone with IGI and was told that 6006a was a 50/50 blend. Sooo who really knows to many different answers.
  18. When I spoke to CS ref 6006 I was told that it was a 70/30 blend. Very hard to determine who is right unless you go directly to the manufacturer.
  19. Wendy and Michi, maybe you need to change the resolution on you pc 10284 pixels x768 pixel go to control panel, display, settings and there is a slide bar to adjust the screen. HTHs and you can see the pictures properly
  20. How long do you wait after lighting your candle to determine if it has good scent throw or not. ie 20, 30 min, 1 hr ??? Thanks all
  21. Tereasa I believe that IGI 6006 is a 70/30 blend from CS, atleast that is what they told me when I called them.
