I am working 2 -12's and considering packing up another load of stuff and takiong to storage unit--have to be out of my house by end of month and my other half gets deployed any moment! moving SUCKS if someone wants to come hang out at my house i will pay them to pack my stuff-or heck throw it all away had to get a climate controlled storage unit for all my oils and goods smells good in there-hope it really is a well controlled climate-we get power outages in summer sometimes from microbursts and monsoons!! I am also mailing my 3 oil soaps to El Paso texas might package up the soaps for drinks of summer

any latest on the texas soapmakers??? hmm? anyone going?

So i have affiliations with the local cancer center. think some pals might like this--they use it post radiation?? for irritated skin? if they get a burn can they put it on it?

So I made a batch of soap earlier this week that was posting about at the time--the volcano-ey one with the huge crack and gel-y type stuff oozing. It just overheated-oops! The soap seemed to have come out fine--only problem is that it did not really keep it's odor--moonlight path that was made for a friend --her first order. So I figured as a first time buyer i do not want to give her something she cannot really smell the fragrance in. Can i rebatch this somehow and just add more fragrance? If so-how do i do that? melt it down? cut it up?? then melt? and then add something? including more FO? Or just start over and use it myself as a more "unscented" soap? I have never rebatched!! TIA

Might make my first lip balm tonight!! bath and body fragrance-safe to put in lip balmp or totally pointless because guess you would maybe want a little flavor or something-not a scent?

Dont people say not to use grapeseed oil also-since not much of a shelf life? Seems like i bought some when was going to make my first batches and then recommendations were not to use-so it still sits in cupboard!!

i used pop color in one batch of cp and it did not color-was one of the purples-would have to look to see which bag it was-and it did not turn the soap purple--but who knows what color it would have been if i had NOT used it. Still trying to figure out where i put the camera!! we are slowly working on packing to move. was gonna post a pic of the two different greens made and the other one!!

When people are taslking about Vit E in their recipes-what type of vit E are you using? Cutting open the pills? buying a bottle on a cosmetic site? TIA!!!

never made one before-although seems i set aside the recipes for a couple and got the goods to make it!!

i had two different greens i did tonight and one purpley-that might not have used enough purple in--BUT when unveil them-will take a pic if worth looking at!!

Not sure what dried french highland lavendar is but there is one place that has neat lavendar stuff!! www.valleyviewlavendarfarms.com maybe that will help?

I just made CP soap with apple green pop!! very exciting!! My soaps have been so bland up until now!! cant wait to cut it!!!

I just made a small batch of soap for a friend using moonlight path. All went well. Used exact same recipe had just used for a batch with tea tree oil then all of a sudden it got really pudding consistency and so i poured it into my mold and thought all was well in a few minutes there was an earthquake cut down the middle and the middle is kind of swollen up and gel-ish at the crack will it chill over night and be okay--or think i will repeat? ideas what happening? I have not had a batch go bad yet maybe this is it?? TIA
