  1. TWO thumbs up for this recipe!!! I just made a batch last night and it was SO satisfying! They came right out of the molds nice and firm. I used shea butter and Monkey Farts FO. The hard butter and the clay really seem to be the magic ingredients. This morning, they are still firm and beautiful with no cracking or warts. Washing up my hands after making the batch was fun- lots of foam and my skin felt so smooth! Here's a pic: Thanks again for the awesome recipe!!!
  2. Those look so. darn. delicious! I would easily charge $5.00 for a bakery packaged one and wouldn't take a penny less. BTW- are they wax dipped or just scented?
  3. Very Elegant, and congratulations to your accomplished niece!
  4. Just beautiful! I would definitely stop by your booth at a craft fair and see if there was enough in my wallet!
  5. I have only had success with zinc wicks in gel pc-cup tealights. The others just fizzled out before they got started. The only issue I had w/ the zinc wicks is that they tend to mushroom and get sooty. I put in my instructions to trim when this happens, and I got at least a 4 hour total burn from each cup.
  6. You can not get more perfect than "Meltdowns"! Flippin' adorable!
  7. Your pansies are simply beautiful! I have a set of pansy ironstone that would be greatly complemented by a candle like that!
  8. I love the extra chunky tops! The scents will match the colors well. Bet you'll sell 'em all!
  9. So pretty and sweet! I had pink in my wedding many years ago too:cheesy2: .
  10. I literally squeeled at the cuteness! I bet those would sell like crazy at a craft fair!
  11. I am thinking of seeing how these sell at $10.00 each. Not including the packaging, I used a glass pillar holder (dollar store) on the bottom, and then the florals, trim etc. totalled about $5.00 each (fancy-dancy Wallyworld prices). I sell out of my dipped Moose at $20.00 each at Christmas, but those have lights and other doodads too. The scent throw on the TP is pretty heady, but I'm not sure if it's due to the rose, which always seems potent at any level to me. I did add way more fragrance than I would have to a candle pot. Close to 4oz to 2 pounds of total wax (soy and hurricane blended)! I figure if this is sitting on the back of the throne, it will create a more "pleasant" atmosphere.
  12. Those are stunning candles! I love the feathered jack-frost look of palms. Your decals incorporate so nicely w/ the wax. Beautiful job.
  13. This one is for my sister, the bird lover. The wax is also scented "Powder Room", but not colored. I attached the center cluster of ivy w/ a pearl headed pin. I was trying to think of something cheeky to call these for craft fair sales, and decided on a "Lavish Lavatory" line of scented products.
  14. kimmeroo- I don't see why not. It wouldn't cost much to try, even if you didn't like how it comes out.:smiley2:
  15. Those are so pretty-- and groovy! What are they scented and what wax did you use?
  16. You know, I think there just may be a niche market for something like that! Celebrate the Moments of your Life, eh? LOL BTW- If anyone tried to use the dipped TP as God intended, they'd have one heck of a time getting a square off- it is one solid cylinder.
  17. He's wicked cute! If this bear is headed for college, maybe the diploma resembling a doobie isn't so far-fetched? (JK!)
  18. Thank you! I used a 4 pack of Angel Soft (really cheap TP, but w/ a pretty pattern). I had maybe 2 pounds of wax in my Presto pot to start. I dipped 4 rolls and still have about an inch left in the bottom of the pot. I just stuck a roll in, then put metal tongs in the hole and flipped it over. I rolled it back and forth, put the tongs back in the hole, pulled the TP up and let it drip a second, then set it on heavy duty aluminum foil on the counter. Because this won't be burned, I went heavier on the scent than I would have for a real candle. They are very potent- I had to bag the others for the night!
  19. I finally broke down and did it- I dipped a pack of Toilet Paper and it was SO much fun! My Mom & Dad are renovating their bathroom, so I created the first one for them. I used up some leftover soy and hurricane waxes. I added some color and scented it w/ a combo of Baby Powder & Victorian Rose that I like to call "Powder Room". The bathroom colors are burgundy & cream w/ nickel hardware, so I used ribbon and florals accordingly. I attached everything w/ straight pins. The truest colors are in the last pic all packaged up. Can't wait to do more tomorrow! FRONT: BACK: PACKAGED:
  20. I am waiting for my citric acid to arrive and then I will have a go at these. Thanks for sharing your trial & errors to make life easy for those of us who follow you!
  21. The color combo is actually stunning! I know several customers who would be all over that. Does it lather up black too or are the suds fairly white?
  22. I would love dupes of the whole Jo Malone line of fragrances!
  23. Aw, slice it up for Halloween and name it "Something Wicked This Way Comes"!
