  1. I've got 3 molds from them, and just love them! Julie is awesome! They do take a few days to ship, as they are made to order, but it's worth the wait with the awesome pricing! And don't get the stained ones, the soap doesn't care what color the wood is!
  2. Two birds with one stone! WOOHOO! So happy I could help you too Meridith!
  3. Yup, that or extreme water discounts... But normally fo's.. But don't worry til you cut it, and if it's ugly tommorow, you better go buy a salad shooter!
  4. For the best results, use FD&C dyes, a few of these super powered colorants can be found at thesage, and many liquid ones at wsp. They tint the water without staining the tub, and are super easy to work with! Many ultramarines will funk out when mixed with the citric.
  5. Some can't, some can. www.fromnaturewithlove.com has very detailed notes on their micas. Compare ingredients to the ones you have now to see which ones will work for you!
  6. Yeah, and don't use a stickblender.. Just ask "the duck". (Just poking at ya Satin )
  7. Add $5.01 to your order in addition to the blender, and get free shipping! I've got the "prettiest" red silicone spatula headed my way now too! WOOHOO!! TY TY TY Bri!
  8. For the best bar possible, cure for 3 weeks soulshine... :smiley2:
  9. While HP soap can be used right away, it will last longer with a good cure time to get rid of the excess water. You'll have cooked all the lye out of it, so it's safe. Like, if you used a bar right out of the pot of HP, it will be soft, and will dissolve quickly as it's full of water, but as it cures, the water evaporates and makes a harder longer lasting bar that feels better too! HTH!
  10. Personally, most can't be subbed.. Now, you can still get a kick bootie bar with the avacado, the one with the apricot kernal will more than likely be awesome too, but not the same. Try to sub like oils when you feel the need to change it up, or by what you have in stock. Like PKO, Coconut, and Babbasu are all lathering oils, sub one for the other if needed. Look through the lists Rebecca gave you and note which ones have the most "like" values as the others, and you'll quickly learn what to toss in where! :smiley2:
  11. I shoot for 60 in conditioning with 17+ in cleansing.. HTH!
  12. I just can't freakin sleep!!! This is nuts! Just got off the phone with Amanda and Kimberly, and now I'm all pumped up again!!! 3 more hours til I leave!
  13. AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I get to meet Kimberly in 2 days!!!!! I'm so freakin excited I can't sleep! Well, I slept for 10 minutes then the phone rang... 4 More hours til I leave for the airport!!!
  14. LMAO! I leave for the airport at 330 this morning, and everyone keeps calling me so I can't sleep!! How did the soap turn out???
  15. Ok, first, take a deep breath... Now, get a whisk, and stir for 5 minutes without incorporating air, then let rest for 5 minutes then dtir for 5, rest for 5, until you get the trace you want. If it's high in olive, it's gonna take a while, but don't fret, the batch is not wasted!
  16. I also commend you on researching before you try! I've never heard of a Wal Mart that carries lye. If yours doesn't, try a hardware store or a local grocery store! Can't wait to hear about your first batch!
  17. 17 more hours before I leave for the airport!! Hurry up hurry up hurry up!!!
  18. Bunny's First Bar 20% Palm 15% Coconut Oil 25% Olive Oil 5% Cocoa Butter 5% Shea Butter 15% PKO 15% Sweet Almond Oil This recipe still soaps like a dream for me! Only difference is I lost the SAO and added Lard...
  19. Honey is honey on the label, and oatmeal is Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Meal. Bookmark this link for future reference! HTH http://www.oshun.ca/inci.html
  20. Yup, Amanda, Georgia, Jim, & I are driving. Ok, Georgia's driving, and it's our duty to keep her well entertained!
  21. Well, most of us aren't doing the dinner either! We're gonna pick a party spot and kick it til we can't kick anymore! We're also doing a white elephant gift exchange, and you're more than welcome to join us! A wrapped gift, valued from 8-20 bucks, and it can be anything! That's gonna take place late on Friday after everyone gets there. It'll be my first conference too, I just think I'm going to burst with excitement before then!
  22. Oh yeah, get ready for some serious reading. Or take my word for it, stay away from her, far far away...lol
