  1. Hi all, Old member, but long time no post. I'm getting ready to move to Georgia in the next few weeks, but I'm having trouble finding any suppliers in the GA area Does anyone have any info on wax/wicks/container suppliers in the area? I don't see any candle suppliers on the sticky at the top of the discussion board... Thanks, Bri
  2. Hi, It seems to me that it kinda makes sense just to buy 'em online. I made my pot myself...it cost 20 for the kettle, 10 for the parts, and I had to find a friend who had a drill bit large enough. I checked on ebay a sec ago and could get one for 39 + shipping. That's how I'll do it in the future...its worth the extra 20 to make sure its done right -- one false move and all you've got is a pot with a hole in it!!!
  3. I guess the old motto is true...if it ain't broke, don't fix it. What were you trying to accomplish by adding the additives? A harder wax, a higher pour temp, etc? Also, I think you're adding the FO too early. Not that it will affect the set-up, its just that at 180 degrees, you could "burn-off" more of the scent than necessary. I personally add the FO in soy at about 120 or so, just to minimize the possibility of scent loss.
  4. Hola! Great site! spelling errors in the Shea butters section. Under 'uses for shea,' there are a couple of changes i would recommend. - it should read "Dry, chapped, sun-damaged or weather-damaged skin" - it is "scars" (you have scares) - it is "heels" (you have heals) I am very jealous of this site! Excellent work, gurl!! You can tell a lot of effort went into this website... Keep up the awesome work, Bri-
  5. Best of luck!!! Sleep is overrated, anyway!
  6. Yo guyz! I don't know if you've seen this, but KitchenAid is apparently clearing out their blue-colored immersion blender for $25 PLUS a $5 mail-in rebate! These blenders are usually $69.99 (the white, black and red still are). Here's the info page... http://www.shopkitchenaid.com/produc...1=KTA+KHB100BU That's cheaper than a cheapo stick blender! Just thought I'd let y'all know... Bri-

  8. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone! Gettin' into Chi-town 'round noon Friday. Counting the hours...
  9. Add alcohol to make balls harder? And the moderators allow this type of language? Seriously... Liz, we peeps down south PRAY for 70% humidity! Houston won't see 70% humidity until November/December. My blow-up issues went away when I decreased the salts and also warmed them in the oven for about 30 minutes or so. Bri
  10. Now we just need to figure out who's who... But this new look is fantastic.
