  1. It smells exactly the same in both candles and soap. Its strong and doesn't morph in either.
  2. It smells more like an ultra creamy gingerbread spice type. It actually blends well with gingerbread. I have also blended it with pumpkin souffle and called it Autumn Splendor.
  3. I think you would go through withdrawal if all the pathcouli crops suddenly died and you couldn't get it.
  4. I am curious too. I have made soap using 'fresh' soap shreds and cured soap shreds. I couldn't tell the difference. But then I also was using the same soap recipe as the shreds. Maybe that makes a difference? IDK I know that using fresh shreds they have more moisture in them but they sure are a pain in the patootie to shred when moist.
  5. I am sort of liking the Firefox better. Its faster and has some cool perks. I just have to get used to it. Yesterday when I was having problems I did a full comp scan on nothing showed up. So then I tried another full scan with a different program. It found some suspect files and an attempted hacking so I cleaned it up. Funny how some programs pick up stuff that others don't. I don't know if it helped any but I also did a hard drive restore and file cleanup. But my computer didn't start running better until I switched to Firefox. But at least I have piece of mind... for now.
  6. I love the look of feather palm wax! Those are lovely. If I ever do start making palm pillars again I want to try out feather and the hard to find tortoiseshell. Was it Topofmurrayhill that cut the palm pillars in half and posted them? Did you see those pics? They were maybe 4-5 yrs back. Its fascinating the type of circular holes left in the wax as it shrank. He made the pillars without poking relief holes to demonstrate how the wax formed its pockets. They were cool.
  7. If I do start making them again I have to redo my wick testing. I would also like to do some more testing with other pillar palm waxes like tortoiseshell and feather.
  8. I need to put everything into one workroom. I have a spare bedroom which I am currently using as my 'post office'. Maybe I can convert it into my workroom too.
  9. I am using Mozilla Firefox and its working. My Internet Explorer browser is the one I normally use. Thats the one that is now suddenly not working right. I don't mind using Firefox its just I now have to get all my old bookmarks redone. Unless I can find a way to 'move' them from my old browzer to Firefox. Any ideas?
  10. That's exactly what I did right after that. I just did a thorough computer scan. It should have cleaned out all cookies. I tried it again just now. Same problem.
  11. OH raspberry patchouli sounds divine! Scented would like that too. She loves patch and patch blends.
  12. Ha! Ok. Take out the egyptian amber. It was last on my list.
  13. Lavender Lemon Verbena Honey Patchouli Sandalwood Coconut Lime Lemongrass & Lime Ginger Lime Oatmeal, Milk & Honey or Almond Milk Rocky Mountain Pine Eucalyptus Spearmint Egyptian Amber Why? Because they are my favorites and my bestsellers.
  14. Okay its doing it again. You know how you can click on more reply options and then you can use the editing features. Well, when I click on it the options come on then flip off again. This has happened to me twice just now. Another odd thing is when I tried to quote another post to comment on it my last post came up as the quote. Not the post I was trying to comment on. Something funky is going on.
  15. My workshop area is a mess. This is just a small area in one room. I hate to tell exactly how much of my home space is cluttered with candle and soap stuff. See how the one area looks like all my FOs? I now have 2 entire shelving units dedicated to FOs. Didn't realize that was an old pic. It actually looks pretty much the same only more FOs and stuff. LOL
  16. Don't be so modest. You make beautiful candles and soaps. I always love looking at them.
  17. I am having fun digging these old pics up. Some are pretty embarrassing but I still get a kick out of them. These are my journey into floating candles... First up is setting up the candles for a photo shoot Next is the photo shoot. My promotional shot: Floating candles are fun and I was thinking of doing a tutorial if I can find the time. Next up is my Cow Ice Candle. Every chandler should make at least one. Another shot from a different angle. I scented the candle with chocolate fudge and peppermint. It smelled awesome and was a total blast to make! Next up. Some of my very first candles. They are paraffin and I thought they were the cat's meow. Now I cringe when I think of them. They smelled awesome but smoked and mushroomed like a nuclear bomb going off. Here's a 26oz jar. These are huge and last forever. One of my first photo shoots for my paraffin candles. My first foray in parasoy candles. And... I am still a photog novice. I started getting bolder and using more color in my photos and candles. Last is a group of early photo sessions. I am always working on my photos, the set up, lighting, etc. Believe it or not these early sessions helped me learn a lot of what works and what doesn't. This is one for my votive packaging with some tea lites thrown in. Another votive promo shot Trying out different picture settings Hope you enjoyed!
  18. Since we are digging into our past pics I have some old pillar candle pics I still have laying around. Sorry I don't have any without the labels. The pillars are long gone and these pics are all I have left. I thought they smelled good and I really put a lot of work into them. Sadly, they just weren't selling very well so I quit making them. Times do change. Maybe its time to dust off my molds.... Some rustic tilted palm pillars: This one is scented in Peaks Ocean This one is CS Cinnamon Stick and Vanilla My Jungle Gardenia is a mix of tropical white musk and jasmine Here are some collection pics. They show how I set up my pillars for a show.
  19. I'm gonna start a new thread because I don't want to spoil yours. I am also waiting to see if you post more pics. Hint, hint... LOL
  20. I like it. I just love palm pillars. I found some really old pics of my rustic palm pillars but all of them have a label on them. They are gone now so I can't unlabel them. But if you still want to see them I can start a new thread or post them here.
  21. The picture does enlarge for me when I click on it. I like the tapers. They look nice and go with the holders.
  22. Never mind. I rebooted my computer and the "more reply options" feature is back. Weird huh?
  23. Stuff like bolding, italics, font, icons, etc. All the editing features are "grayed" out or disabled. Is this happening to anyone else or is it just my computer?
