  1. I really wanted something different for my company and my name. I simply adore the Prim and Country angle, which is so popular down South (of course, where I am transplanted!). However, I wanted to be little more edgier...sexier...and modern. I thought "indescent" would be a great reflection and a play on words that would make people look. LOL as you can see from the image on the webpage, it certainly grabs your attention. After that everything else just flowed--- when you have candle names like "Lust", "Papparazzi", and the like your name has to match up. I wanted it to have a "girlfriend" kind of feel to it, which is why in certain areas of the site you'll see what appear to be little post it notes written from "Indescent". Anyway, of course, when DH saw it he says, "Hey...you spelled it wrong". LOL
  2. Not a big fan of Vanilla Passion...too floral for me when I was looking for a vanilla scent. However CC's Vanilla Voodoo is good and The Scented Bean's Vanilla Dreams is a hands down winner.
  3. Soy, I now use 47s as twist ties for my bread bags LOL!! I started my way up from 34s to 47s and cried the whole time. After I cursed like a sailor of course. Im testing Pink Cashmere with a HTP 105 right now at 8% and its been burning for about 1.5 hrs and looks kinda ok. Looks like its burning down now, but still not fully across-- maybe about 1/4 of an inch on one side and a little more than that on the other (since these lean). Im thinking of going back to the 1945...YA HEAR THAT ECOSOYA?! I'LL LEAVE YOUR SORRY @$$ IF YOU DON'T GET IT TOGETHER!!!! Excuse that.
  4. If you look in the thread above this one, you will see many testimonies to Peak's oils.
  5. Seeing that entire label, to me it looks entirely too busy. The two leaves drew me to that conclusion. I would suggest that you drop the opacity of the sprig in the logo so that they are not competing so much.
  6. Top, Surely you will forgive my "impatience"! I was going by the 1 inch per diameter rule. I didn't have this problem with another soy wax that I used, hence my questions. Moreover, I too have read NG's site and have gone the 4-5 hrs and still didnt get a full MP. Mer, Thanks I've noticed the burn down rule too. I have wondered why I have gotten such strange results when my variables have been the same as others...but such is the world of Candlemaking!!!! I've done multiple burns with several waxes and can't quite figure this one out!! And thanks so much for your sweet compliments!
  7. Thank GAWD Im not losing my mind!!! Thanks for responding!
  8. Pardon my frustration! I got a few 6 oz tins from a supplier and no matter what wick I am using, these *(#)@$#s won't wick. I'm using EcoSoya at 3% this time and have tried RRDs, LXs, HTPs and zincs. One suggested that I try a HTP105, which I have testing right now, and still no full melt pool at almost three hours. The diameter is 2.75. Any suggestions or is my thinking off and judgement clouded?
  9. Doesn't EcoSoya's site say theirs can be used in B&B?
  10. I agree, just move it to the left and drop it down a bit and that would be better. Im not sure if dropping the opacity would help, but you would be able to see the definition of the leaves a bit better.
  11. MMS has a great scent called Hydrogen. I also like the fruits and florals from The Scented Bean.
  12. Satin, I say its due to lack of testing because obviously this is a tad bit different from other candles (read uber-crooked). Perhaps if the person had tested the limp noodle candle they would see the effect of its position. DanieB, Definitely not "bad-bad", but up there with the mutant marbled tin.
  13. Aww just wanted to say good luck Maybe the ones at WalMart are thicker? Who knows...but at least you can spot a liability when you see one!
  14. LOL-- I have noticed lately the influx of determined entrepreneurs who think that if they get the kit from WalMart that they are Yankee's up and coming competition, so I wanted to stress the importance of testing your candles.... I "think" that if s/he tested the candle on the left s/he would see it would have problems and wouldn't think of selling it. Look at the red candle. Maybe I'm the one thats off.

  16. I think it looks so cute! It looks more professional in my opinion, because it truly complements the font; the others were nice but needed teaking to get there. And girl, I know how it is when you think you've got it and you go a totally different route. I think maybe everyone is used to seeing a certain look from you, and this, indeed deviates from your look. LOL Im sure you're working on it right now (aren't you...aren't you?!? LOL)-- the only thing you have consider is your customers. Remember, the eye buys; so if others who don't purchase from you aren't too keen on the overhaul, your customers might not be either. Which means one of two things: a.) change your website, stationery, biz cards, etc. to match your new "prim" logo or b.) keep at the sleek and modern look...or c.) if you can SOMEHOW integrate the two, that would be better. But just be sure to keep your customers in mind too. They might pass you by altogether b/c of the new look and not know it was you! But.... If Mel Brooks can do it, so can you!
  17. What font is that? Lemon Chicken? Its a great font-- but it looks like it could end up being very jagged when printed. What graphics program are you using? PM me if you want Scriptina! I've got it-- or can help you with getting on to yours.
  18. Oh I did. I just opened up another acct. They can kiss my Uncle Ben's!
  19. BBBAAAA HHHAAAAAAA HHHHHHAAAA:laugh2: Yikes! I can't be converted! I don't know how has more bucketheads answering their phones---Stanks.com or U-Ass-P-Ass! My mom says that I should just open up a Fed Ex acct...and she works for them, and I hear her war stories every day. Cripes...Anyone got a friggin carrier pigeon I can borrow???
  20. If you had a crystal ball and could look into my office, you would see me burning this customer service rep in effigy. Last week I sent some product to my mother, a gift to my stepdaughter, etc. The total came to $23.65 for four boxes. 3 of the bastards didn't print out correctly, so I had to reprint them. All four of them correctly printed and were picked up for delivery. I check my acct balance later on that day and see that I was charged for all four labels, as expected. I get an email at the beginning of this week saying that my CNS acct has been suspended due to using cancelled labels that were not paid for. After sending a thousand emails back and forth through that dark ages website, I am told the only solution/remedy I have is to pay for the three cancelled labels and request a refund. I have submitted proof from the bank that they (all of the labels including the ones in question) have been paid for and its seems rather superfluous for me to pay for something I already paid for and go through the trouble of requesting a refund when it is clearly an error on their part. They won't budge. Neither will I. My response/remedy: Wait for it.
  21. That is gorgeous What a great look for Pink Sugar!
