  1. Does TV Guifoil have a website? How would I go about seeing what they have? I did a search for them but could not pull anything up.
  2. Not really. Not without first purchasing some.
  3. I agree, however, quality and cost of raw materials is not verifiable in any way, so, I could, technically, be charging that amount of money, with very poor product, and you could never verify whether the cost of my raw materials was higher or not (until of course, you used it and saw that it was a low quality product).
  4. You mentioned 1/2 pp, however, does that apply to soy and soy blends? Or are you using a paraffin?
  5. I tried calling on the number listed on the website, however, it seems to either be disconected, or not working. I tried several times and it gets disconected without even ringing. This, by the way, made me even more suspicious about doing business with them.
  6. Actually, on page two of this forum, I posted a thread when I bought them. It's here: http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21192
  7. Do these oils throw? They seem very expensive. Are they markedly better than other FO's on the market?
  8. Just curious. Kind of a neat thread here. Post about the most expensive fragrance oils you have found, and whether or not you tried them. I'm a relative newbie and have found the WYW oils to be the most expensive I've found. Ordered some 4oz bottles which should be here next week.
  9. How hot do these wicks burn in relation to cotton ones?
  10. Just went on there and saw that they only have three sizes for their hemp wicks. Is this standard? How hot do these wicks burn in relation to cotton core wicks? I'm guessing that the limitations in sizes are going to make double wicking near impossible.
  11. Anyone know of one? MC has one, and so does NG. Anyone have any experience with either of these, or any others for that matter that were good, strong and threw well in soy or soy blends?
  12. I'm going to be testing in the GL 70/30 blend. What do you folks think about these particular ones that I just ordered? All the BCN ones were four ounce bottles. Honey Coco Mango (oz) Pina Colada (oz) Vanilla VelvetT (oz) WYW Bamboo (oz) WYW Buttercream Crunch (oz) WYW Cucumber Ivy Mint (oz) WYW Cucumber Melon (oz) WYW Citrus Peel & Pine (oz) WYW Goddess (oz) WYW Island Kola Nut (oz) WYW Leha Leha (oz) WYW Lemongrass & Star Anise (oz) WYW Lavender & Sweet Basil (oz) WYW Mulled Cider (oz) WYW Perfect Pumpkin (oz) WYW Perfect Storm (oz) WYW Sage & Citrus (oz) WYW Sweet Potato Pecan Pie (oz) WYW Vanilla Grapefruit (oz) and from GL, I ordered: 16 oz Antahala Vanilla Fragrance Oil : 1 : 19.95 16 oz Dogwood Fragrance Oil : 1 : 16.25 16 oz Grapefruit Watermelon Fragrance Oil : 1 : 17.95 16 oz Green Tea and Cucumber Fragrance Oil : 1 : 16.25 16 oz Hawaiian Breeze Fragrance Oil : 1 : 16.25 16 oz Indonesian Teak Fragrance Oil : 1 : 17.95 16 oz Magic of India Fragrance Oil : 1 : 16.25 16 oz Vanilla Lavender Fragrance Oil : 1 : 16.25 16 oz Violet Musk Fragrance Oil : 1 : 17.95 16 oz DStrawberry Kiwi Fragrance Oil : 1 : 16.25
  13. Seems like an awful lot of trouble to go through, though. Do you think that NOT covering them might lead to evaporation? My brain tells me no, as only liquids evaporate and technically, at room temperatures, these are solid substances (wax and fo mixed), so they probably wouldn't evaporate, however, I wanted to get everyone else's thoughts. I may end up covering them, however, depending on what everyone thinks.
  14. By the way, my wax says it holds up to 12% fragrance oil, which is significantly more than what I used, so, I kind of did use within stated guidelines.
  15. I have it also and didn't see where it said that but I have to look again. I also don't quite see how using more than that, could have caused it to throw less. That is likely the recomended amount for a Parafin, however, I use a Soy/Parafin blend. I can't imagine that I would smell absolutely nothing because I used 9% fragrance oil. That just doesn't quite make any sense.
  16. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow, to let them know that I had fully intended to order upwards of $100 worth of FO's to test....until I read comments on here, which convinced me not to. There is far too much competition in this market to deal with companies that don't appreciate a customer enough to answer emails.
  17. I wonder why it should be that low? The best throw in the world, it seems to me, is when youa re pouring the candle and you generally pour it at 175-180, so, I wonder why the melt pool should actually be THAT much lower than that?
  18. This is interesting. Anyone else wanna chime in on this?
  19. Anyone ever done any sort of test to this end? I know that the hotter the melt pool, the better the throw, however, you don't want it to be so hot that it gets too deep, too fast, and so hot that it start burning excess FO's, however, I'm wondering if people have taken their thermometers and dipped them in their melt pool next to the wick to get a temperature reading, and what they have discovered.
  20. How does everyone go about storing container candles that you have poured, that don't have lids? Is there a fear of evaporation of scent?
  21. I poured this a few days ago in GL's 70/30 and lit today and can't get a good throw at all on this. I used 1.5oz pp. Anyone else have this experience?
