  1. Not in a grumpy mood at all. Not sure why you would say that. I actually got a good chuckle out of your response, however, I'm wondering, once again, if there is an additive (specifically) which will aid in scent throw.
  2. Good one. :yay: Now that that is out of the way. Is there an additive that I can add to my wax (already mixed with fo) that will improve throw?
  3. Just curious if there is a wax additive that will increase the hot throw of a candle.
  4. Looking to place an order with them and would love some suggestions (considering they have more than 400 fragrances) for your favorites, of their exotic and more complex scents.
  5. Can you use the same fragrance oils that we use in candle making, to make these reed diffuser oils?
  6. I didn't think it was possible, considering how hot the glass would be, however, I found the following: http://www.beeswaxcandles.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=beeswaxtravel&Store_Code=BN How is that possible? I researched and found some other companies doing the same thing.
  7. These reed diffusers, in what little experience i have with them, only seem to scent very small areas. If they were candles, in other words, we would say that they had very little scent throw. Has that been most people's experience with them? Or am I way off here?
  8. No offense taken. And, I don't know, maybe I do, but, I don't yet pour enough candles to really have candlenose. Just didn't seem that strong OOB. But, we'll see.
  9. By the way, they are more than just a tad pricey. The prices are exorbitant, but, if they are ultra concentrated, they might be worth it.
  10. Anyone ordered from these folks ever?
  11. Out of curiosity, then, why do you continue to use them, if they are THAT expensive, and are not markedly stronger, as you indicated? And, do you use them in candles or bb?
  12. I just received my order of ten different, 2oz samplers, as follows: Oatmeal, Milk & Honey Mata Hari Bacci de Miele Goddess Baton Rouge Sapmoss Tryst (type Lapis Lazuli Wild Fig and Cassis Hawaiian Lei Flower And, I like each of these OOB, however, all but one of them seem to be relatively weak, again OOB. This might change in wax, but, I expected slightly stronger scents. Anyone have experience with their scents and how they throw in soy or soy blends?
  13. Do you find that even in soy or soy blends, 0.5 oz pp will suffice to get a GREAT throw? Anyone else have a vote for the most expensive fragrance oils?
  14. Anyone know if a tool similar to the ez wick setter that will fit a jar this size? I have both sizes of the ez wick setter, and even the largest one isn't big enough for this opening. Anyone know of any other, similar tool?
  15. Yeah, all the pour pots sold by Peaks, BCN, Candles and Supplies, etc, are made in America.
  16. Because I'm not original. And, what I'm asking for is thoughts, and ideas, not "names." I appreciate the helpfulness though..really, I do.
  17. By the way..one more thing. At no point did I say that they had to have the very best pricing on everything, or anything for that matter. However, the fact that they aren't even really COMPETITIVE on ANYTHING is indicative, again, of their markups. Don't get me wrong. As a business owner, they are entitled to mark up their product as they see fit, however, please I just want to clarify that I never, ever said that they "had to have the best prices on everything." I was simply pointing out the fact that they likely choose to work on higher margins than their competitors.
  18. I understand. My point is only that price is not always indicative of quality and the fact that they mark up just about everything, more than most (standard items like Pour pots, and wicks) is probably indicative that they choose to work off higher markups, which would be likely apply to their fragrance oils as well. I also don't really think it's fair for you to say that their prices are "in line with quality FO's" because, Peak's oils, Greenleaf's oils, Bittercreek's oils, and Nature's Garden oils are all considered VERY high quality, by most people on these boards, and the pricing is significantly less than theirs.
  19. I just kinda wanted to rename, for originality purposes.
  20. Ok, folks, I need some help here. All the following scents are from Greenleaf: Antahala Vanilla Dogwood Grapefruit Watermelon Hawaiian Breeze Indonesian Teak Maduro Magic of India Vanilla Lavender Violet Musk Thanks in advance.
  21. I will say though, that they seem to have VERY high pricing on just about everything, which leads me to believe, maybe, that their oils aren't much more concentrated, or expensive, but rather, that their markups are simply much higher than everyone else. In other words, if someone buys an oil at $10 per pound and sells it at $16, these folks might be buying it at $10 per pound and selling it at $22. Doesn't make their oils a better quality, just makes their markups more. An example? Their CD wicks they sell for $16 per hundred. That's pretty absurdly high. The same pour pitcher that most suppliers sell between $8 and $9, they sell for $13 ($12.95). I could go on, but, it's something to consider. Some people simply like to work on higher margins (it's their right...certainly) which doesn't really mean that their products are any more expensive in terms of their cost, or of a higher quality.
  22. Beautiful candles. Great color and very creamy and smooth looking. Where did you get your cute little mason jars, by the way?
  23. Cool. I just sent an email. Is he a manufacturer? Does he import these from China?
  24. Oh, ok, cause you had left off the "L" after the "I" so nothing was coming up. Thanks,
