  1. I didn't but I have this one, it might help -
  2. I scented this Black Amethyst type, swirled with black, purple, and a small amount of white. Then textured the top, and sprinkled with black, purple and iridescent glitters. I made this one for my mom and her friends for a summer surprise. Possibly give it to them on 4th of July. Can't wait to cut this one to see if the size is how I like as far as how tall it is, and what the swirls look like.
  3. Thank you! I like it a lot too. And, no, this one was in my regular silicone mold. My TSM soap was short, and plain. I posted a cut pic of that here: http://www.craftserver.com/topic/106943-tsm-soap-cut/
  4. Not sure if I'll make more molds until this one goes caput, but I will definitely make more soap - in fact, I just got done making a 44oz oil soap in it a few minutes ago. No lining required, and it just peels off the soap easy as can be. Leaving very little residue, and no bending of the mold. Here is a pic of it right after taking the soap out without cleaning it up.
  5. So, after making some soap in the mold, I have determined that wick stickers are not the way to go. LOL They left a sticky mess that took forever to get off because they were not reusable. I've prepped the mold to make another (taller) batch today, and am just using packing tape along the sides to adhere them... But it did work, and besides the sticker cleaned up very easily.
  6. Not how I envisioned it, but not displeased. I like the color combo, but I wish there was more yellow though. It smells really good. I used a vs in this one, but can smell a vanilla in it, so I hope it doesn't discolor over time.
  7. Smells amazing, I have a bunch of citrus EO's in this one along with ylang-ylang to round it out. I will do this blend again. The bars are definitely not tall enough, so I will take TallTayl's suggestion and use either 44 or 48 oz oils in my next batch for this. But it came very smoothly off the mold with no problems whatsoever.
  8. I haven't, but I plan to soon..
  9. Snow Witch, Golden Embargo, Smoke & Mirrors, Home for the Holidays, Sexy Beast, Dragons Blood (my FAVORITE DB ever), Oh, I haven't soaped DB only put it in candles, let's see. Hedonic Tonic, and Them Apples. Won't know about the South Beach for a while but all have been strong and stuck in my soap. Snow Witch is a forest scent but with a fresh clean "winter" note to it, to make it different than any "pine" scent I've ever smelled. To me it smells just like the Rocky Mountains here after it's snowed. How they captured that, IDK but I love it. Golden Embargo is an exotic amber, sandalwood type of scent. I use it in my mens tuxedo soaps as a blend with a couple other scents, but this is the the one that comes out first. Smoke & Mirrors smells a lot like NG's Cracklin' Birch but with something extra that I can't put my finger on. Home for the Holidays is a typical HFTH scent, smells a lot like Peak's, but I think I like Peaks better. Don't know how to describe Sexy Beast. ?? it's exoctic and cologne-y. LOL (sorry, I'm terrible with descriptions) Hedonic Tonic out of the bottle smells like a household cleaner, but in soap that mellows out and rounds out to a nice fresh clean scent. Them Apples is a nice tart apple scent. I use it as a mixer. HTH
  10. I think they do, however, they are a little pricey. Shipping is really good though. They are in FL and I'm in CO, and I don't think I've ever paid more than $10 for shipping, even on my large orders. And thank you. I will cut it tomorrow afternoon and we'll see how she turned out.
  11. Last one for today. I made this one with Mad Oils South Beach FO. Got a little thick on me, but I think that'll work. I tried to make a beach scene. I've only ever been to a beach once, and I just remember a lot of turquoise, yellow, and sand. So... I made this one with a sandy bottom - scratch that, I tried making this one with a sandy bottom, then I mixed white batter with turquoise batter and yellow batter. Then I tried for a cloudy sky type and did a turquoise batter with white batter. The colors are peacock mica for the turquoise color. Yellow vibrance for the yellow, TD for the white. a mix of the following - yellow oxide, summer bronze mica, & sparkling gold mica - for the sand. We'll see tomorrow night how well I did. I had a fun day. I haven't had a chance to create in a long time, so it felt good. I'm gonna sleep good tonight! (Or I'm going to toss and turn being too impatient to cut them! LOL) (again the pic is blurry - I need to find my real camera I think - this phone thing is not good! LOL the blue is bluer in person than the greenish color it's showing)
  12. I hope when I take it out it looks as nice and creamy as it does now, OR it goes back to white. It smells so good. I think I'm going to call this one Citrus Explosion! It smells so amazing!
  13. I grab a couple of these pitchers every time I'm in the dollar tree. I love that store for soapy supplies! I made a soap just now I'm getting ready to post with one of them.
  14. Thank you. Yeah, this recipe was 32oz oils at a 33% water solution. I'll make 44oz batch next time.
  15. I do. I masterbatch my oils, and my lye at a 50% solution then add my extra water at soaping time. This is the first time I've made up 7 soap pails at a time though. Usually when I masterbatch my oils I only make up 1 or 2 pails at a time. However many I think I'm going to make that day/weekend. I decided to do more this time so if I feel like making soap after work, all I have to do is measure my lye and start soaping. This recipe will get slushy/hard so I don't have to worry too much about spillage if I need to move them around. Once they get to that stage, in a couple hours, I will cover them with some cling wrap so that no dust or anything gets down inside of it. Actually it gets to be a bit softer than 76° Coconut Oil. I just zap it in the microwave for about 30-45 seconds and it's liquid again.
  16. Made the mold yesterday, made soap in it today, and I just finished weighing out and mixing up 25lbs or masterbatch oils! After I did that, I split it out in 7 of my soaping pitchers in 2lb oil increments (that's usually the size of my batches) So left in the 5 gallon bucket is roughly 14-15lbs of mixed oils (there was about 3-4lbs in the bucket when I started). I've also cleaned up, and done a tad bit of inventory. And it's only a little after 12pm here. Plenty of time to do more, after lunch! HA What does 25lbs of oils mixed up and then split out look like you ask? (No you really didn't but I'm in a show-off mood! LOL) Well, it looks like this! (first pic is just the melted/mixed oils in the 5 gallon bucket - nothing exciting)
  17. I forgot to put any vs in it. I wanted a nice white soap (first ever plain white soap - just a touch of gold and iridescent glitter on top) but I did put a bunch of TD in there, so hopefully it will either stay that cream color, or bounce back to white after the saponification. The EO's I used made it that creamy color. I have no idea if it will discolor more or not. I think they will be pretty short bars though. Next time I will make the batch a 2.5lb oil batch instead of just a 2lb oil batch.
  18. smile emoticon My 2lb oil recipe didn't quite fill to the top, so I'm not sure how tall this tall skinny soap will be, but I'm excited about it. It's a blend of citrus EO's and ylang-ylang. Smells amazing. Sorry, the pics are so blurry...
  19. Yeah, the pic is only about half of my B&B colorants (I found enough to fill another tub full after I took this pic). I don't have my candle colorants in with this bunch, they are separate and in the candle corner of the room. I don't have near as many of those though...
  20. Yes, it IS necessary!!! Very much so! LOL
  21. UGH WHY do you do this to me??? LOL no, I don't have those, but I do have all the liquid colorants that TKB sold at the time I bought. LOL Now I have to go check this eBay site out... *sigh* Enablers. Every. Single. One. Of. You!!! I love it
  22. Thanks, TT. I'm not too concerned about the stickums but just because I got them for candlemaking, and then discovered I didn't really like using them, so I have about a hundred of them. Plus they are cheap enough, and I work about 2 minutes driving distance away from Peak if there is an emergency. LOL But yeah, releasing them is why I didn't want something permanent to seal up the sides, so it's good to know my thinking was on track, and it's a good idea with the velcro if I ever do run out of the stickums. I think this is a good temporary substitute for molds. I know they won't last forever, but I think they will last long enough to make it totally worth it.
  23. Uhh, Candybee, I have that same sampler from SMR. LMAO See? I told you it's ridiculous!! I've calmed down a lot on my fragrances, but man I can't seem to pass up a sale when I see it on colorants!! It's so bad!!
  24. I find this to be a little ridiculous, but I can't help it. LOL Most people in this and the candle making craft are fragrance addicts (as am I) but IDK, there is just something about colorants that I cannot get enough of. (Obviously!) This tub is full, and this is only about half to 3/4ths what all I have. It's soooo ridiculous!~ LOL But I love it!
