I put my jars on a pan and put them in the oven on the lowest setting. They will completely melt, then I pour them into the pour pot, pull the wick out quickly and wash with soapy water.
What kind of wax do you want to start with? Paraffin, soy, a blend? I personally think that jars, votives or tarts are the easiest type of candle to start with.
