  2. I haven't tried more than 3 layers at a time but these smell delish together. Strawberry Cheesecake (top) Vanilla (middle) Blueberry Cobbler (bottom) Sweet Chestnuts (top) Hazelnut (middle) Hazelnut Cappuccino (bottom) I have often considered making "this and that" candles from extra when pouring batches but never have done it. You have peaked my curiousity again . . . I just may keep a spare jar on my workbench and give it a try. I think they would be fun
  3. I poured this scent yesterday straight and blended with hazelnut and mine set up fine. I used 6% in my container parasoy. It is delish
  4. Heartfelt carries a Blueberry Cobbler this is the description: Blueberry Cobbler Fantastic throw in soy and very little discoloration in wax! B&B safe FP 200 http://www.heartfeltcandlesupply.com I have not tried it in wax or B&B but maybe someone else can chime in that has.
  5. Farmhouse is in NJ . . . http://www.candlesuppliesbyfarmhouse.com/
  6. I think the clamshells are cute but I can't sell them in my area. I had tarts in my line for about 5 years before introducing the clams and my customers have stuck with what they know best.
  7. I use 70% DPG or OO and 30% FO in a 1 oz bottle to be used for the warmers. A 50/50 ratio can be used but I have found that the 70/30 mix is more profitable cause the DPG is less expensive than the FO and the throw was very close to the same. I bottle in a 1 oz HDPE plastic bottle with a flip lid. As far as how much I use depends on the size of my burner. Oil burners typically have a smaller dish area than per se a tart warmer. I don't usually measure. anywhere from a few drops to 1/4 oz. I have found a t-lite warmer usually gets hotter than an electric warmer and the scent is burnt off a bit quicker. As Miss Mary stated they will have a steaming affect as the oils are warmed. Let us know what you think as you test some.
  8. Christmas Cheer and Jingleberry are a couple good ones from BCN for Christmas :smiley2:
  9. As I posted, that is how I have always calculated my FO load - guess there are more ways to skin a cat
  10. I am thinking she was thinking a 44z since I have not ever heard of the 42z either. 44z's in general can be misleading since there are 44-24z, 44-28z and 44-32z . .
  11. Yep - That is what I get ETA how I figured it . . .1.25 oz PP = 8% FO load. 1# 8 oz = 24 oz x 8% = 1.92
  12. I have always used Southern Scentsations and it is awesome !! Bummer it doesn't sell well for me
  13. Ditto . . .I still have oils 2-3 years old and they still work fine.
  14. My base will hold 3-10% FO. How much FO did you use? I don't use JS's base but I do know that some bases are "oily". I use either CMS or KY's bases cause they aren't. I tested a few and geared away from the oily ones due to safety reasons and I thought it was kinda gross knowing it settled on my floors . . I don't like to mop :tiptoe:
  15. To my nose KY Grandmother's Toddy and CS Hansel and Gretels House smell the same . . .anyone else notice this ? or is my nose fried already . .
  16. The EZ Pour wax is not the same as KY's Perfect Blend or the KY Parasoy for containers. I have tested all 3. The EZ Pour is a great wax and I had good results with it but moved to a wax that I can drive to pick up.
  17. Yep - ditto ditto ditto !!! I had been looking for an awesome MA and this one is da bomb !!! Love it !!!
  18. I get my flip tops at various suppliers, where ever I am placing an order for other things to save on shipping costs. The Candlemaker's Store, Alabaster, WSP . . .typically I pay .15 cents each. I have found that WSP - Bottles and Tops are the best price for the 1 oz HDPE bottles I haven't ever noticed a chemical smell with DPG, it is what I have always used. I tested Olive Oil when I was out of the DPG and that works in a pinch. I buy the DPG by the gallon at Alabasters. Hope that helps ya
  19. I package mine in plastic HDPE bottles and use a flip lid. I considered switching since I prefer the looks of the amber better but after inquiring with my customers they don't care and would rather have the lower price of the plastic vs the additional cost of the amber. I sell bunches of the oils . . . So nope - my customers don't give a rats behind
  20. I had this link saved: http://www.thewoodenrosecompany.com/index.htm
  21. I have a 12 x 12 EZ UP, got it about 2 years ago at Ace Hardware. LOVE IT . . .It is very durable and quite roomy. At first DH and I were a bit confused about "EZ UP" per se . . .it wasn't so easy until we figured it out.
  22. I know with a premier account thru PayPal you can accept credit card payments. Once you log into your paypal account you can click on "request money". Send her a bill using her e-mail / paypal addy for the wholesale amount. ETA - I was posting the same time as Chauna . .
  23. I have recently added Bert's pomegranate to my line. I love it and it throws very well with 8% in parasoy. I haven't smelled any other pomegranate to compare, once I got a sample I was hooked.
  24. I have used a couple of their oils but mainly I got other supplies from them. Body mist base, bottles, tops, sprayers, stick ums, jars, wicks, wax . . their customer service is great. I like the fact they are within my state and I can usually get next day deliveries with UPS.
  25. Their new Mac Apple is da bomb !!!! Exactly what I have been looking for. Superb straight and also mixed 50/50 with hazelnut:drool: . I am test burning the Hansel and Gretel House now and it is also very good. A 4 oz JJ is filling my large living room. DH and I both agree it smells like KY's Grandmother's Toddy, maybe a tic better on HT. I am on cloud 9 with the oils I got. Can't wait to test burn the others I got. And to think I have over looked adding them as a supplier . . .I have been missing out !
