I remember LOVING the Blue Hyacinth and Fresh Cut Stems.

I’m just so excited to get Tonic and Provence! I knew as soon as I smelled the sniffies you sent a while back that I wanted them!

Opened up CS, saw this post, stopped reading when i got to the link 🤦🏻‍♀️and didn’t read any of the other “instructions” 😆😆

I completely agree and while I’ll happily spend a little more with her scents than others.

🙋🏻‍♀️I have ordered from them and everything has been wonderful. Here’s my two cents. I find their prices to be comparable to Brambleberry and WSP. I was turned on to them because they had a Le Labo Santal 33 dupe for just a little less than WSP. Then I started digging a little more and found the have many more (than anyone else) dupes than anyone else from Le Labo, Dipitique, etc, plus many of their own original scent blends. Scents range from about $30-$40 per pound. Now compared to Cierra and some of Nuture Soap’s prices, they feel high but I also feel like they’re more complex and unique.

I could but I like the idea of a solid bar and just lathering what I need per wash.

Ooof, for some reason I never saw this reply. 😔 I also almost to the end of my purchased bottle of wool wash. It’s really time to start thinking ahead. I went back to Twig & Horn site today and saw they now have wool soap in bar form. 💡💡with the thought of I can totally do that! Instructions say to fill a basin, lather your hands and then gently squeeze into suds through your garment. Add more soap as needed. Soak for 15 min. Rinse lightly, if desired (rinse not necessary. Block. Dry. Enjoy. Okay easy enough so I looked at the ingredient list for the bar… Sodium palmate, sodium cocoate, water, glycerin, lanolin, salt, olive fruit oil, coconut oil, rice bran oil, avocado oil, citric acid. 🤔At first wondered why only two were listed as saponified. Then it dawned on me, are they using a melt and pour base and then adding in the extra oils? It also looks like they reformulated their liquid wool soap and are using KOH but I think I’d much rather use a bar form. I do knit (even though it’s been a minute) but I don’t spin but that sounds like it would be really fun! Lol a mad 👩🏻‍🔬with no background in science 🤪. Maybe it’s time to change that as I really want to understand the whys. 🤔

It doesn’t feel greasy to me at all and it absorbs really quickly. Here’s what I used… 17 grams Emu Oil 12 grams Shea Butter 10 grams Olive Oil (calendula infused) 6 grams Beeswax 5 drops Lavender Essential Oil 4 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil 4 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

Ahhhh!! No, just completely inspired but everyone here. Omg, I smelled the beeswax pellets in my stash next to my rendered beeswax. Not the same thing. I don’t think I can go back. Lol

I figured out how I wanted to use the beeswax I rendered… an Emu Oil & Beewax healing balm! I remembered there was a bee keeper at one of the farmers markets I used to do (when I had the jam company) and my used to love the healing balm they made. I also love emu oil so I thought why not try my own? I absolutely love it and it’s working wonders. I had cut on my hand from a semi-bike crash. It’s been taking forever to heal because it’s in a crease. Since I started using it there’s been a noticeable difference in how fast it’s finally healing!

It feels so good! I did it!! 🥳

Well I have the honey, bee bits, and most of the other debris separated. It still needs more filtering but I’m out of cheesecloth. Should I melt the wax in water again and then strain or just the wax? I also remembered that my solid lotion bar uses bees wax and so I think that’s what I’ll use this for.

That is amazing! That also would have been really helpful when I had my jam company. So many hours of taking photos every time I created a new seasonal flavor.

I arrived home to find my packets of sniffies! First… I LOVE the foil packets! Brilliant!! Of the 8 samples that arrived I initially had two absolute favorites that turned to four this morning. It’s funny I had others that I was 💯 sure I’d absolutely love that I actually didn’t. I’m also using @PhoenixFyre “I dig this” notations. Here we go… Fresh cut stems - this surprised me, it was my number one favorite! It’s floral without being sweet or hitting you over the head. It’s like walking through the garden and you smell the flowers but you also get the aroma from the stems and leaves. I would also easy buy a pound right now if it were available. That says a lot because it would be only for me because I’m not a business and the largest quantity I’ve ever purchased of one FO is 8oz. I dig this one! Blue Hyacinth - this is the floral scent of my dreams. I love three scent families - floral, woods, and citrus. For me BH simple but also complex. I would be happy having it in a candle or soap on its own but can tell that it will play well with others, especially Fresh Cut Stems. I would also buy a pound of this one right now. I dig this one! Clementine Coriander - I 💯 expected this to be my number one favorite so I was surprised when it wasn’t. For me, I don’t pick up clementine or coriander but more of a fresh squeezed fruit juice blend like something you’d expect to have on a lovely tropical vacation. While it’s not for me, as soon as I smelled it 3 family members and friends popped into my head with a “omg they would love this scent.” I don’t dig this one but I can see its value and I can see why some would dig it. If I were a business, I would probably include this in my offerings. Sun Ripened Blackberry - I expected this to be at the bottom of my list because fruit/berry scents aren’t my jam. I actually really like it because it’s so complex. It’s berry but not sweet. It’s also berry but has a hint of floral. It makes me think about being in a berry patch where you’re surrounded by the green canes, flower buds, underripe berries, but also ready to pick fruit. For my needs I probably wouldn’t buy a pound of it but then the more I smell it the more I’m might be changing my mind. I dig this one! Dusted Sheets - Another one I expected to love because of the profile notes - I’m a yes and love on everything but patchouli - but all I can smell is powder. Unfortunately my pallet isn’t refined enough to pinpoint where it’s coming from. Like @TallTayl said it isn’t baby powder but for me I’m not getting high end powder either. Someone who is really talented could probably blend it and have be lovely. I am not that person and so this one is pass for me. Up Close - Intoxicating and I absolutely love this one. It’s a candle I would want to light in the evening. Or a soap I’d want to use to get ready to go out to fill the air with sexy scent. A night in or a night out? A night out that finishes with a night in. For me it’s also not masculine or feminine but damn it’s a sexy beast! Ugh so good I want a pound of this one too! 💯 I dig this one! Pinion Wood - another that I was 💯sure would be at the top of my list but wasn’t. I feel like I get a little bit of clove, maybe young ginger (not sharp or spicy), and maybe lemon citrus or citrus peel? Or maybe it’s I don’t know what pinion wood smells like and assumed because it said wood that I’d love it? 🤷🏻‍♀️I also don’t know if it’s one of those scents that smells one way OOTB but then you get it in a candle and it completely transforms into this beautifully full bodied and rounded fragrance? Santal Amber - another I was sure I’d love but fell a little flat for me on the first sniff. Second time around it’s growing on me and it’s lovely and now I don’t want to stop smelling it. I dig this one! On one hand I want four pounds of fragrance but then the practical side of me hits and that voice says, “this is hobby for yourself and a few gifts here and there. It will take a minimum for four years to use up that much fragrance oil!” 😆 But also I like what I like.

Etsy has changed so much since I had a shop on there. A few years before the pandemic I watched my stats and sales just tank once they implements their ads “options.”

Lol a google search lead me to one of your posts from 3 years ago. On that post was link that suggested 1-3% of the oil weight. I’ll start there next time I make up batch.

I’ve been getting random squishy messes. Some batches were fine and others were a mess. However today’s batch was just perfect and fun. Almost the same recipe minus the citric acid and a different FO.

Ohhhh I like the idea of a lip balm!

A fried if mine had a hive in the walls of her house. A bee keeper came out and long story short she now has a lot of honey and bees wax. She offerened up to me so I thought why not learn something new. Once I clean it, how should I use it?

Those both sound incredible (CC & PW). I can’t even imagine being able to use 2%… it sounds like a dream!
