  1. I need help finding info on how to get your website to come up in a search. How do you get listed? Do you pay? Not afraid to read here but I just keep finding the same old info. TIA
  2. Your welcome. I use tins and Vanilla discolors them after a while. I am just wondering if this is from the FO burning off close to the wick?
  3. IMO, Peppercorn is a lighter masculine scent than Drakkar. I agree, it smells NOTHING like Pepper. I wonder why they named it like that?
  4. Taken from the Quaker Oats site: http://www.quakeroatmeal.com/FAQ/AP_index.cfm What are colloidal oats? Oats that are ground into a very fine powder. Colloidal oats are typically used in health and beauty aids such as oatmeal baths, moisturizers and many facial scrubs and masks.
  5. Please don't think I am being sarcastic here but why would you want to use that much FO? I would think that it would get rather costly. I would cut back to 10% at the most. Oh, and I had some big name tarts do that. The flame was too high on the tea-lite and over heating the tart. The scent did not last very long at that high temp either. HTH
  6. My 6 oz tin of Black Canyon fills my ENTIRE 1200 sq ft house at 1.5 oz per pound in E-135:yay:
  7. Pouring down a tongue depressor or Popsicle stick would work too. For small amounts, like one smelly, I use a pipette.
  8. I was not sure where to post this. I would like to know if anyone has lids for the flowerpot votive. I thought I had the info but can't find it. Do they make them?
  9. http://www.uline.com/ HTH
  10. Alan suggested to me that maybe the cotton core wicks might do the trick. I have no idea where to start so I am going to order the sample pack. I use HTP's right now. HTH
  11. I would love some ideas on what programs are best to use to design labels and Logo's.
  12. I thought about this too. Soy candle ingredients are edible BEFORE they become candles. Not that anyone would pop open a can of Crisco and dig in but there is no way that any of the fragrances are edible. It sounds to me like a lawsuit waiting to happen. This is taken from the ergo site [We choose to use a 100% natural, all vegetable SOY wax, made from soybeans farmed in the USA. er'goSOY wax is so pure that it could be eaten and we have, without fragrance of course! Basically, it is a solid form of soybean oil made without any petroleum by-products or color dyes. What this means to you is a CLEAN BURNING candle with very little soot! ]http://www.ergocandle.com/aboutus.html I find it interesting that others selling their line do not include the Fragrance part of the statement???
  13. The recipe I have found calls for equal amounts of FO and water to the 91% Alcohol. I use no more than 1/4 ounce FO. Usually less. HTH Edited to say: This is a recipe I got off the soap dish.
  14. Thank you! Just wondering if they were as cheap though?
  15. I live in CO and have checked 3 different Walmarts and can not find the tins. Has anyone in CO found them?
  16. I use Eco 135 and I would say that 80% of my FO's are from Peak. There are a few that won't throw for me or don't throw as strong in Soy as they would in Paraffin.
  17. LOL! I guess I should have mentioned I cover MY scale. I put the whole thing in a clear bag. I learned my lesson the hard way with the first one. Did you know that FO will "eat" a scale?
  18. I poured 15 scents today. I keep my scale right next to the presto so all I have to do is tare the pour pot, fill it and weigh right in the same area. I line my scents up in the order I am going to use them so that if I forget to label which is what I can figure it out by the scents order. I hope this makes sense.HTH
  19. I was just wondering if they were the right type of plastic?
  20. I don't add color to mine. I bet the teal is cool looking.
  21. How can this work well? http://www.daynadecker.com/collection/collection.html
  22. I bought some "tiny heart tins" They have tight fitting lids and have lasted over a year. Plus, everyone loves the tiny heart the scents are in! All the hearts fit nicely in a clear plastic shoe box. http://rochester.hostforweb.net/~candleco/cgi-bin/store/agora.cgi?cart_id=5084945.19591*xm4f96&p_id=AS1009&xm=on&ppinc=search2
  23. OK, I had my doubts when I got this. OOB it is somewhat weak. Poured into Eco 135. Max %. After 24 hrs the throw is strong! Might have to tone this one down.
