  1. I love Vanilla Voodoo in Soy. One oz pp is strong. I have a tester of Sultry Angel I need to pour. I like the oob of it.
  2. I use Eco 135 from Peak and don't get the cauliflower tops. HTH
  3. DH made my wick holder out of plumbers strap. The holes are already there and he cut the lengths with tin snips. They work great. I always have a hole in the spot I need and I can configure them for multi wick candles. They wash up well too.
  4. Very pretty. Love the brite colors:D
  5. If they don't pay you for them I would tell them to burn them right or cough up some cash!
  6. I get mine from Peaks and they are very nice.

  10. You had asked about Soy burning cleaner. I just pointed out the the others were a Botanical Blend. HTH:)
  11. I have noticed through the months I have been on the boards that you know a LOT about candles...and I totally value your opinion. When you tested the veneers did you try them in any soy product or blends? I do not believe that there is any soy in this candle but I was wondering what you think about this type of wicking in a soy based wax. I am not really a soy fan, but the public seems to be. I think that if the smoking issue could be rectified with this wooden wic, we might be on to something here. Do you think that soy wax would be any different, or is it just the wick itself and changing the wax formula wouldn't help? Sorry...that question sounded muddled. Let me try this: Say you are using zinc wicks...one in paraffin and one in soy. They both smoke somewhat due to the nature of the wick. In your opinion would the one in soy smoke less than the one in paraffin? Do you think that this wick would smoke less in soy? Hows that? LOL Here: http://daynadecker.nespra.com/catpage.php?CatID=76749d6e59d0f3dcfdb0369d3e5e59b6 It says that the candles are botanical.:rolleyes2
  12. Table? Food? You don't understand! Kitchen Aid mixers are for lotion. Tables are for candles to cool and wait for labeling. Dishwashers are for cleaning Presto pots, candles jars and pour pots in. RESTAURANTS are TO EAT AT when you can't find the loaf of bread and BOLOGNA!
  13. That would be me. I have my candles stored in an un-heated shed. They smell better than ever! They have been out there for more than a year and just keep getting better and better:yay:
  14. I had DH take a look and he says it looks like a Bamboo wick. He also thought the crackle effect would throw tiny sparks and be a hazard.
  15. What a great idea! Thanks for sharing:yay:
  16. I might add; if the glass is too fragile to be warmed in the oven I would not make a candle in it.

  18. I did a lot of research before I made mine. I use only Borax. Baking soda is so fine that it never totally get sucked up by the vacuum. The BS just sifts down to the carpet pad and grinds away at the nap of the carpet. Borax however also has cleaning and even some germ killing effects. Not saying it is a germicide but anything helps. The larger grain is easier for the sweeper to pick up rather than pushing it into the nap. HTH
  19. I am not telling anyone to do this. This is just my own experience. I have limited space in my home so have cases upon cases of soy candles in the hex jars stored in an unheated/cooled shed. After a YEAR I was afraid to look but they were the best looking candles! No cracks or anything. They were colored and there was no frost either. The was was ECO CB 135. BTW, you would not believe the throw after a years cure:shocked2:
  20. Have you ordered before? I love the sound of some of the oils. Are the Ultras really stronger than the regular ones/
