    LOL! My madness seems to get the best of me sometimes. I put that recipe up cus you can get the ingredients in your super market and It really taught me alot about soaping. But like I said. If you have any suggestions let me know. I don't want to give people bad info.

    I added the castor at .5 like TexasBrat said and came up with 2.57

    Okay after re reading your post I think you mean Castor. I don't add the castor in the lye calc. Its more of an "additive" like Fo. Or at least thats the way I understood the recipe. If you have any suggestions on changeing it. Please let me know.

    My favorite butter at the moment is mango. I can't make soap without my stick blender. That one is a must have. Paint buckets!! I use thesse all the time for mixing Wood skewers are great for doing swirls. Just swirl and then toss in the trash. My favorite soap scent is sweet pea. Followed by Green tea. Dh makes all my wooden molds and he made me a beveler that I still haven't used but I will someday..........

    Wicks with a Zinc core.

    I use a pillar wax and use zinc cores. They burn better and give a longer burn. HTH

    I buy spools of wick and tab my own...have been for 8 years. I just recently started buying some the htp's from peak that are pre tabed. I don't like all the extra the wick either but I like not having to tab them. Its a give and take thing. Tabbing your own is cheaper.

    Yep stearic isn't nessesary but you do need FO or mineral oil. And don't forget to let it cool very very slowly. I put mine inside a box and wrap towels around the molds

    I tried using a candle warmer many moons ago and it didn't work. Doesn't get hot enough. So I use an old frying pan

    I like them!. I'm not a coffee drinker either but I love the smell of coffee. If only it tasted the way it smells......Coffee I mean not the candle. LOL
