  1. I definitely like the new layout better! The 'bestsellers' link just isn't hooked up yet, right? as long as your customers can't somehow get to the new site, it's all good!
  2. thanks! I decided to go all B&W (first of all it's cheaper) for now, until I start selling in boutiques, anyway. Then I can up my price a little, and the color printing will be justified!
  3. I just got BOTH those scents today in the mail. Clean for men (i've never really been able to tell the diff. between clean and clean for men, but whatever...) is excellent. Soapy...and yet complex. Green Irish Tweed is way strong OOB. not sure how it would throw, but it's not a 'clean' scent so much. What about some of the 'downy' dupes? Clean Cotton (yankee type) is also a favorite of mine.
  4. thank you ALL so much for the hints. I tried the shadow, BTW, and my printer just made it look funny, I guess. So much for that!
  5. I hope it's at least better, not worse. I'm not sure if I like the colored border, but you who said it needs SOME color are right on. I made the scent name bolder, and the '1 oz edp' the same font. Now there's only two fonts on the front instead of three.
  6. Yeah, I am going for a very minimalist, classy look. I'd like to add some color or something. I meant for the text featuring my company name to be the logo, but it could stand to have some sort of simple line-design (in color) in the background. Maybe behind the scent name? I just don't know.
  7. Comments and critiques/suggestions welcome, and requested. Thanks!
  8. Where do you find the Greenleaf Fragrances? They sound very nice!
  9. Oh, thanks so much for the links and all your opinions. Keep 'em coming. BTW, I don't plan on making soap - I know y'all love it, but my apt. and my kitchen, esp. is so small, it could go very wrong!
  10. three months? are you serious? what's the big idea???!!! thanks for the heads up. In that time I could ride my bicycle to NJ and back a few times.
  11. Hello there all, I've been reading this board like crazy, and doing TONS of research. I want to know if your experience matches up with my gut feelings. I'm thinking of trying the following suppliers, for mainly perfume and b&b applications. Perfume mostly. Let me know what you think! Scents in alcohol/carrier oils smell a lot more like they do OOB than in candle/soap, right? more WYS(mell)IWYG? Already ordered a small-ish batch from the scent works (they have my bottles anyway). Selling the product I make from this should help me make my next FO orders. In the meantime, I'm plotting my next order! Looking at: Taylored Concepts, Royal Aromatics, Daystar, A Garden Eastward. I think between these I could get almost anything I want. But please let me know if i'm overlooking something or should skip something. And if there's another board like this, but with a more B&B/perfume focus, please link to it. Thanks SO much!

  13. in my experience, shea oil is rather quick to sink in. I love it. But that said, I also love my VS ultra-softening body butter, the texture is to die for. I'd make my own but i don't think I can duplicate the whipped, yet VERY thick texture.
  14. what about the SOS regular concentration in B&B/perfume? I realize w/candles and soap it's a whole different thing, and one I'm not too familiar with.
