  1. vanilla buttercreme crunch is a fave around here...try that!!!
  2. I just got a sample of the onlinelabels.com clear ones, and they are good. However, they're a bit tricky to apply, and i've been using them to cover my white labels to waterproof them instead. they get fingerprints on the sticky side SO easily.
  3. yup. not a silly question! get yer scissors out!
  4. Daystar's Fuji Flower is great OOB, and I like it for B&B. not sure how it'd hold up/throw in wax, but it's worth a try.
  5. if it doesn't smell like dirt - what the heck does it smell like?
  6. Awesome, you guys are the best. I will try Peaks' Clean Cotton instead. I agree dirt and sawdust aren't for everyone, but I have a plan, LOL!
  7. the guys I know seem to like Amber Sunset more than most YankMe scents. It's SUPER strong in tarts, I've found. Like to run me out of the kitchen!
  8. hehe, I am hoping the redcurrant is a good dupe of the Votivo - it's my "desert island" scent. If I had to only use products with this scent, I'd be happy for the rest of my life. But where's the fun in that???!!!
  9. have you smelled the Yankee Candle version? I wonder if it's similar at all? That, too doesn't smell like "cotton" but it is a nice scent. Thanks for the info!
  10. I'm ordering all 2oz sizes, btw. Maybe a few bigger ones on clean cotton, Redcurrant, and Orange-Vanilla. All for B&B - no CP, Candles, or anything. 11. I have wondered this too. Some are obviously buying and repackaging - you can tell by the higher prices. But some have very unique F.O.'s and I wonder who is wholesaling to them to get their scents. someone who knows more about this, enlighten us!
  12. Just a reminder... It's always a good idea to have 1) an antivirus program 2) a firewall 3) several spyware programs (my faves are Ewido, spybot, spysweeper... and FOR THE LOVE OF DOG, please stop using Internet Explorer. Firefox is about 46x more secure. That at least covers a lot of the online security. Best wishes to you getting these charges reversed.
  13. also mediterranean/middle eastern and some asian grocery stores carry it. You definitely need it to make them fizz.
  14. it doesn't smell like a bakery (daystar) but the guy in the office said it did. Whatever!
  15. thank you! I just finished my biz cards this morning, 200 for $3 at the printer's down the street. i have to cut em myself, but, hey! That's cheap!
  16. Thanks for the encouragement. I emailed all my friends and fam. last night, and i don't think it sounded too pushy or like I was begging for sales. Some great ideas in this thread, I never would have thought to put up flyers @ the grocery store.
  17. 2nd, I can't imagine running an online business w/o some kind of face time with real customers. p.s. - your site looks nice, but I'd stick with a left-justified setup. I have to scroll over to read the end of some sentences. Nitpicky? maybe.
  18. I only have perfumes on there right now, so that's what I sold. and the scent choice surprised me - I have some great dupes, but "afternoon walk" was the one I sold. Also the strawberry I made a trade for (and it's delish, i'm wearing it right now, couldn't be more pleased with BB's strawberry FO)
  19. is it a matter of using a higher % FO, or is there some additive that makes them linger longer?
  20. I'm walking a fine line between feeling proud of what I do, and wanting to let people know about it - and feeling like I'm just shilling. What are some good, non-irritating ways to let people know about your business and drive sales?
  21. Hooray! Just made my first sale over there. And a trade with a Candle-tech member!
  22. Thanks for those links, BTW. I found out some really interesting things. And yeah, I agree, it's like beating a dead horse. Good luck, all!
