Caramel Apple Pie is really good, but I just finished a fundraiser and out of 670 jars, all I sold of the CAP was 12. People just turned their nose up at it. I think it smells awesome and smells even more incredible when lit, but that's just me.

I don't think she's adding additives to the EL votive wax as it comes premixed. Try the HTP63'2 or 73's and make sure your wicks are centered. To much dye can have an impact on the way the votive burns also. The reason I mention both of those wicks is that certain fragrances have an impact on the burn as well. Some require larger wicking while other oils don't need such a robust flame.

I've never heard of a "pure sugar" fragrance, but now you have my attention.

You're not kidding Niks!!!! That is why I purchase 99% of my oils from the states because even after paying shipping, duty and customs, I'm saving myself so much more money than purchasing from some Canadian suppliers at $30-$40 pp.

My brother is a Captain also for a fire dept., and we always joke with people when they find out what we both do. All I say is..."I start fires and he puts them out"!

I love Yuzu Lime!!!!!! Grapefruit and Rosemary are really nice also.

The pumpkin cheesecake does smell more like a pumpkin filling more than a cheesecake to me also, but it is good. I renamed it to Harvest and it sold just as well as my other Harvest.

I ordered the Yuzo Lime, glad to see that you give this a good review. I thought oob that it smelled better then any other yuzo or blend.:smiley2: Trust me...that one will knock your socks off.

I can tell all of you that have ordered the Pumpkin Cheesecake, Yuzo Lime, Tiramisu, Apple Crisp, Evening Breeze, Lemongrass and Rice Milk & Honey...these are all EXCEPTIONAL oils in soy wax. Fantastic hot and cold throw. You won't be disappointed.

I have tried a few cinnamon stick fragrant oils and have always had an issue with drowning. I'm not using to much oil, maybe 1 oz pp maximum. I love the smell of cinnamon stick, but am ready to throw in the towel on this particular fragrance. Any suggestions of suppliers with a CS that throws well in soy without having to wick up dramatically to get a great burn and hot throw. TIA

A really good Vanilla Mint. I noticed Candlewic has one, but haven't had the chance to try it.

The Blood Orange is AWESOME in soy. Not like Satsuma, but more like a really strong Mandarin or Orange, just like the name. Super STRONG in soy!

JS has it and it's good. NG also carries it, but I've never tried theirs.

I've learned that... 1) Not every fragrance I like, my customers are going to like. 2) Candlemaking can be very costly depending on the products you want to market...ie. labelling, glassware, website, marketing materials. 3) All your friends want a DEAL. 4) You should never sell something before you TEST IT! 5) Your family and friends are your biggest critics. 6) During busy season I never get any sleep. 7) During summer, I'm always researching new f/o's & packaging for the coming season. 8) I can't get enough fragrances even though my shelves are bulging with bottles. 9) My DH gets told that he smells like fruit, florals or baked goods whenever he goes to work.

I really like those. I especially like your labels. Are those labels or are they actual ornaments that are stuck to the glassware? Beautiful!!!
