Hi I did a craft fair this weekend and my soy golden 464 candles in urged yellow in the heat ( in Florida so hot and humid ) can anyone tell me why and how to stop it from happening ? All my nice birthday cake one turned yellow they were white ! any clue ?

?. I usually am nose blind due to making so many batches in a row I have about 3 fellow candle addict friends who test them for me

TallTayl I am using small containers largest is approx 10 oz apothecary about 4 in dia and smallest 3in dia 2 oz med ( for me anyway ) is 4oz 3 in dia I am using 6" LX 18 for my soy candles most of my candles are warm heavy scents ! In the Blueberry Cobbler their is blue dye blocks from CS and in the Birthday Cake one I leave it natural color. Thank you for taking the time to explain about your awnsers it will very much help me when trying to investigate my issues . I will try a little higher temp with them see if it helps ?

Yes it have testers she is the one who told me there was no smell .

Thank you Trappeur and The little flame I appreciate all sugestions and am aware you are supposed to let them set but have tested that and every time I don't have a hot throw it n the beginning I have yet to see one develop later (granted we have only been at it for almost a year )! Not saying I won't keep theese and try again later going to go do some Parafin it should give me a better throw !

I am so frustrated with this ! I made two batches yesterday birthday cake and blueberry cobbler from Aztec and got almost no hot throw ! Added the fragrance oil at exactly 185 still seem to have no hot throw ! I have used both of these fragrances before with high success I am currently getting ready to go to a craft show and was trying to build up my stock and it just seems like it's not working I have no clue what I could be doing wrong I am wondering ? 1. if because I'm not using a double boiler that could be affecting my wax (I am using 464 golden soy) ? 2. Does it matter how you treat the wax like say if it gets a little hotter than 200 and you cool it to 185 and add the scent will it be affected because it got so hot ? 3. what about if you just barely heat it to 185 and then add the scent ? 4. I did notice that birthday cake has a flashpoint of 195 so if it was heated to 195 or above and the scent was poured in Washington uldent it just burn off ? I noticed most the Candle tutorials at the scent at a much lower temperature than is recommended by everyone . I would be grateful for any suggestions thank you so much !

Talltayl that is a good question as for it is probably less than most of you if I want to order say 200 jars and a case or 2 of wax as an example it starts to get realy heavy therefore expensive to ship ! I think I was trying to order like 170 jars $100.and the shipping was like $60 that seems high its like adding 60% more to you cost of goods

Thank you kandlekrazy ! I went to that site but it still does not tell me the height of the tab neck ? I bought tea light wicks from lone star which are so tiny they won't stay alight ! So that you s why I am trying to be causious . I already have 2 sets of wicks that are useless do you buy theese maybe you could awnser that for me ?

Hi I am looking for Short Wick Tabs ! I absolutely love my little tureen jars but they are wide and shallow so it leaves allot,of unburned wax and I also want them for my tea light candles which I am using for personal testing ! I was thinking I would go with just the tabs that way I could rewick with my left over wick material , but if there are short based pre tabbed wicks available I would be ok with that option too !

Hi I live in Fl and am wondering if there is a bulk supplier around here somewhere for the heavy stuff I have searched and searched ! For ordering like bulk wax or containers ! Priced out Filmore container (which does not have my 2 oz status jars ) but then it is almost exactly the same price just to order it a Candle Science where I can get my status jars as well ! The price just seems high $60 for $100 in containers of course rhey are glass and therefore heavy ? If you all have any suggestions I would led be grateful ?

Hi is this what you call frost as you can see it only happened on the orange ones the red was poured at a higher temp both are golden 464 soy . Any insight as to what it is and why it happens would be awesome ?

Ok smooth side jelly jar 4oz from Aztec these have the white lid from candle science 2 oz status jar and 3oz tureen jar silver lid

Hi I am using 464 with some aztec sents as well for the first time how did those sents go for you ? I have Fresh Cut Roses Pumpkin Capachino, Wild cherry Starbucks coffee Chocolate Brownie Grandmas Kitchen Birthday Cake Pumpkin Souffle Gardenia Vanilla Bean Cinnamon Blueberry Cobbler Vanilla Pumpkin Pie Orange Sherbet I have paraffin but am planning to do a test batch of soy464 today to see if changing my FO introduce temp produces a better hot throw

There are several best FO in soy posts but I did not find anything specific to golden 464 . Also this batch I am working with Aztec fragrances I did notice on their site they don't state weather the fragrances are soy compatible I would greatly appreciate any info
